I love my little pocket rocket the Volvo C30. It's a 2009, though and the interior needed some loving care... I am very happy with the work the Fred and his assistant of C. Fredrick's Upholstery has done to replace the headliner and sunroof slide fabric! He was very particular about matching the color and weave of the existing fabric and did an amazing job. They do require a deposit, which I don't mind as that keeps people from wasting his time I'm sure. They are very dedicated to excellence and it's obvious as they've been in business for a long time. read more

I was referred to C Frederick's by a local Mercedes Benz repair shop regarding a convertible top issue. I just showed up this afternoon looking for an opinion and possible solution to my problem. Wow, if you think customer service is a thing of the past then you have never met Fred of C Frederick's. Not only was I pleasantly greeted, but Fred actually stopped what he was doing and took the time to evaluate my top issue and provided me with a fix. That in itself was a pleasant surprise and would have made my day. When I thanked him for his expertise and asked him how much I owed him for his time, he shook my hand and said "don't worry about it. If you ever need a full top replacement come see me". That 's what I call customer service at it 's finest. Rest assured when the time comes for a new top I will head straight to C Frederick's. read more

So I own a "rag top" which is code for convertible. After a few years the top needed replacement badly....how bad? Well let's just say I was using duct tape to keep the rain out of the back window *grin*. I wasn't sure where to go to have it replaced so I asked the dealership that services my car and Hendrick indicated Fredrick's had replaced many tops for customers and all were very happy. So I took their advice and took the car over there for an estimate. The cost was lower than I had thought by hundred dollars....and mind you, these things are not cheap! Though I was given an option on a grey top at a significant discount, but black was all that would do. ETA to complete was a week and I left the car. When the car was ready they called me to pick it up and the owner indicated one of his staff would help me out as he would be out of the shop when I got there. When I arrived the top was up and looking great! It was a sunny day, so I asked the shop guy if there was anything I needed to know and he say "nope, you are good." So down when the top and away I went. I decided to get a car wash to make the car really look good, but when I arrived at the AutoBell and tried to put the top up it was short by 6 inches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could not close the top back?!?!?! I immediately called the shop and told them what had happened. The shop guy said he'd call the owner and get back to me. A minute later the owner called me and told me that the car had to sit for at least a week to stretch out the top................I told him that at no time had anyone indicated that was the case. So I had to take the car back that day and they had to force the top back on and lock it down. I would say they would have gotten 5 stars for my service, but the above incident wasn't pleasant, so unfortunately I'm withholding 1 star. The do a great job at a great price, but just need to work on the exit process for customers for new tops for the entire shop and not just with the owner - if they fix that, then 5 stars all the way. read more

I have used Fred over the past few years to maintain the interior and top on my 1985 Porsche. This week, he has outdone himself with the job he did recovering my seats. He was meticulous in finding a perfect match for 35yo Navy Blue interior trim. Because OEM pre-fab seat covers were not a good color match, he was forced to buy leather by the yard and hand-craft the seat covers. His attention to detail right down to the correct perforations, piping, and trim stitching is identical to the original seats. I highly recommend Fred for ANY interior or convertible top repair. He takes pride in his work, is timely, and his prices are more than fair. After seeing this side of his capabilities, even if he was more expensive than others, it would be worth paying a premium for this level of workmanship. read more

I went to C. Fredrick's Automotive Interiors to check on getting a car seat sown. Mr. Floyd stopped what he was working on, and came out to look at the seat. He explained the hazard of doing so as the airbag would be compromised. He then went in and called two places to see what he could offer as a compromise. I was appreciative of the time he spent trying to get me options. The cost of the option is high and I am contemplating what to do. But what impressed me most was Mr. Floyd's time, patience and honesty in helping me understand the situation and my options. I may not take him up on this option because it is not in my budget right now, but if you are looking for honest, high quality customer service as it relates to Convertible Repair, Auto Upholstery, Auto Seat Repairs, Seat Restoration, Leather Interior, Cloth Interior and more, consider these guys. Absolutely outstanding craftsmanship!!! I have had a classic car project ongoing for 3 years - restoring my (late) father's only brand new car a 1989 Cadillac Fleetwood Coupe. It is personal. I needed to replace the interior ceiling liner, 1/2 vinyl top with new side "opera lights", both front seats reupholstered (leather) and both front armrests. I was searching for months to get the "right" shop. I wanted it done right. I visited about 3-4 and didn't get a good vibe. I kept getting referrals from Body Shops and seeing glowing reports and outstanding reviews for C. Fredrick's and when I first called to come in and get an estimate Fred politely told he was really busy and backed up and can I call him back in 2-3 months. That solidified it for me. I waited 3+ months; got his estimated and a good gut feeling that this guy knows his stuff and does quality work. I picked up the Caddy last week and WOW!! I own a Saturn SC 1 and have had work done here twice - once for the headliner, then for the passenger side door (fabric portion). The headliner looks original, and he hunted down the fabric for the passenger door and the installation was perfect. I plan to go back and have the car recarpeted and the seats done.
