The front seat in my Subaru Outback had a tear in the leather on the inside edge of the left thigh cushion. I dealt with Efrain, who gave me a time the next morning to bring it in. He promised that it would be ready by 3:00 that afternoon. The work was done by 2:00. I was very impressed that he took so much time to find the perfect color match for the leather. His eye was much better at it than mine. When I returned to pick up the car, I was absolutely amazed. Efrain is a true craftsman. It would be difficult to distinguish the difference between his work and the original factory work. The stitching is even and perfectly aligned with the other parts of the seat. I am elated with the service and the quality of craftsmanship demonstrated at Peterson's. Given my experience, I have no problem recommending this shop to friends, family and readers of this post. read more

This place may have been good in the past (or so I hear), but I wouldn't recommend it now. They don't reliably answer the phone, and their work is rushed and shoddy. They repaired a side bolster in my front seat, and while the repair was halfway passable, it isn't great. And in the process, they managed to deeply scratch and ruin my leather steering wheel. When confronted about this, they denied it, but eventually took a small amount off of my final bill. Oh, and they didn't correctly reconnect my heated seats, so I had to go back in for them to address that. I will not be returning. I'd like to give my future business to a place that values quality work. read more

We have an old well loved 4 Runner with 140k miles and the driver's seat upholstery was "worn and torn" badly. Had heard good things about Peterson's so trekked out there to explore them repairing. What a great experience from the very beginning. Jean, Mike are tops in our book. The highest level of craftsmanship and service in my estimation! They are so accommodating to the customer, highly professional, very committed to only doing the job right. One challenge was to try to match the leather on a 13 year old car. Gene, the owner was extremely nice. However, the upholstery tech was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. We were asking a simple question, which he wasn't answering. He then proceeded to say he wouldn't work on my car. The way he talked to my father (someone who is in the service and you could tell) was very upsetting. I hope they get new employees. read more

I was in the market to have my leather seats repaired/replaced and honestly, I approached this shop cautiously due to the few lack of views. I stopped by and Mike Peterson looked at my seats, went back to get cleaning materials, and showed me how with a little elbow grease much of the discoloration could be removed. Be aware that the shop looks like it has not changed since the 50's. He probably spent 30 minutes basically showing me how to save money. Even the options he provided were based on maximizing bang for the buck. I returned a few weeks later. In order not to minimize the time my care had to be unavailable, he removed my back seat and armrest. I dropped off the car for the repair on the front seat as few days later. If you ever have a warranty issue they are not going to fix what is needed. Mike, one of the techs is extremely rude, so do not ask for him. He acts like he owns the place and tells you to leave and take your business elsewhere just because we were trying to get a SIMPLE answer about the warranty on a part on a car. THEY WILL NOT WORK ON YOUR CAR IF SOMETHING IS FULLY COVERED SO DO NOT COME TO THIS SHOP!!!! Anyone will MOST CERTAINLY have a better service experience elsewhere I am very sure!!! I just took my 2008 Jeep grand Cherokee to Mike Peterson to repair a ripped drivers seat. He did an incredible job and exceeded my expectations. He and his wife were very friendly and got me in quickly due to a cancellation. They do excellent work for a very fair price. I highly recommend this shop. I have a 1998 Jeep wrangler sahara that came with unique limited edition seats. They were finally falling apart, several rips in the fabric, stitching coming out, foam degrading, you name it. I was about to purchase new aftermarket seats before I stumbled on Mr. Peterson. He was able to get the seats deep cleaned, then found the original 20 year old discontinued fabric at a shop in Chicago, rebuilt the foam and now I have 20 year old seats that are basically brand new. They feel 110% better, support my back and look like the original brand new, for less than I would have spent on installing all new seats. His work is very good, would definitely go back. read more

I haven't use their service yet. I stopped by to see them, asking them to give me a price. The people in business are nice. On a convertible top estimated for a 1986 Chrysler Lebaron is higher from other places.To restore the front seat is right price. I gave them all my contacts information to reach me. I have emailed and called them several times, they told me they are very busy. I waited two months, they didn't let me know if they are ready to do my car. They seems not care to lose a customer, It is disappointing. I found other business that is happy to take my car for much less price. Sorry..... read more

I had to set my 1995 convertible outside for a few weeks and it saw rain for the first time in I don't know how long. It turned out that my soft top leaked and I had 2 inches of water in the floor of my car!! I called and they got me right in. He told me he would take the carpets out and clean them and replace all the padding and he even cleaned my floor mats to a condition that I've NEVER seen in this car since I've owned it! He used fans to run in the interior to be sure everything was dry before re-installing the carpet and it turned out great! I could not be happier with their work. He is going to install a new convertible top for me to prevent future leaks as soon as I can find the time to get it done. This could have been a disaster if it wasn't taken care of correctly! Best part is, he did all this for about the cost of a new set of BMW factory mats!! Thanks again! Darren read more

These guys are "old school" in that they won't do a job unless they can do it right. I have had 6 different cars repaired by them, T-Tops, Convertible tops, seats, etc. and I am always satisfied with the quality. You will need to understand that due to their quality & word of mouth reputation it may take a few weeks to get an appointment. read more
