Not much has changed since covid slowed it down. Same location at the Ala Moana Hotel. Admission…read moreis $3. The focus is, and has always been Comic Books, toys and all things related. Similar sizes to what was there in the past, if you are looking for something related this is a nice place to come. It's comparable in size to the antique show they have at the Blaisdell but with more focus on Comics and toys. They usually have this expo at the Ala Moana Hotel twice a year, the other one was held in May this year. Pretty standard set up and fun things to buy. Parking in the area was at a premium as the " Made in Hawaii" show is also today ( 11/13) Come by to support this locally organized expo. Support local- buy local.

In the last few years Honolulu has seen a large increase in collectible and toy shows. This is one…read moreof the first and is still going strong! As of this writing, the show is in its third year and has gotten bigger and better each time. Keep an eye on their website or Yelp events page for the dates and times. The show is held in Ala Moana Hotel's ballrooms on the second floor. Each year it has taken larger floor space and added dealers. Around 40 dealers/table participate bringing all manner of toys and collectables for kids of all ages. Admission is $3 per person, kids are free. Cosplayers also receive free entry! Tickets are sold at the door, cash only. It's laid out like an trade show with dealer booths and tables along the walls and center of the main room. Who participates changes from year to year, but it's typically the same local people; both from stores and hobbyists. The hotel provides water stations around the show, which is appreciated. The selection is not limited to: LEGO, action figures, video games, anime, DVDs, plush toys, Japanese imports, Funko Pop! figures, high-end statues, and comics. Basically, if it was or is popular, you'll find it! Most dealers handle exclusively in cash, but more are taking credit these days. To be safe, bring small bills for good deals. I'm a big fan of the "junk" bins on the floor; there are tons of deals to be had as sometimes people are just looking to get rid of merchandise. Thank you to the organizers for making this a fun must-attend event!

It almost seems like a sin to post a review about Zuke's on Yelp, given that this is more of a…read moremagic guild rather than a store, though I justify posting the first review here based on the fact that the following bigger websites have their own reviews that mean more than my humble two cents. This is one amazing little shop with store hours only on Saturday and packed with wonderful magicians, eager to teach and do not pressure you into spending a dime. Given that the feeling of this place is moreover a guild rather than a store, it helps to know specifically what you are looking for or to accomplish when you walk through the doors. Everything seems reasonably priced compared to online prices. You can find yourself engaged for hours, and lose track of your entire Saturday. This is one of my favorite stores in Oahu. http://travel.nytimes.com/travel/guides/north-america/united-states/hawaii/honolulu-and-oahu/35477/zukes-magic-jokes/shopping-detail.html http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2007/Mar/04/il/FP703040329.html

They'll help you choose magic tricks for your skill level. High quality magic tricks too! Not cheap crap you had in those boxes of magic tricks as a kid. They sell some good stuff! Thanks for doing what you do! The only bummer is the lack of street parking and their very specific hours of operation. But well worth the trip.

It is located in a beautiful and lush area on Queen Emma Street near the Queen's Hospital...fit for a...QUEEN! Lol, playing with words here! This place is quaint and quite lovely. Actually, I can imagine a Queen coming here to relax, socialize and dine here. I really enjoyed coming here...probably my first...and my last time here. Unless, I get invited here again...HINT HINT! The Pacific Club is a private club for Members ONLY! I was fortunate enough to be invited to my friend's graduation party at this venue. Upon arrival, I was amazed with the ambiance! The open air concept of the club is so peaceful, serene and relaxing! Love, love, love that! We were in the...MANGOS dining area. Of course, surrounded by mango trees! What a perfect place to chill, gather, drink, eat and be merry with friends and family! Here's what I enjoyed: CAESAR SALAD: so ono! I only had 3 servings of this, lol. One of my favorite for the evening! KALUA PIG BAO BUNS: very delish. I had seconds on this. SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP with PITA CHIPS: delicious, but very rich. POTSTICKERS: pretty good...your typical dumplings PRIME RIB: yummy for my tummy. I enjoyed this twice. BREAD PUDDING with a cream sauce: this was yummy and decadent. I loved this, too. 10/20/25 Came here for a group luncheon today and also my first time here. Our luncheon was…read morescheduled at 11AM and there was lots of parking available. The grounds are well kept and there is a covered drive-way at the entrance to the club for drop-offs. When you walk in, there is a feeling of coziness. The main reception area is very welcoming with comfortable seating, plants and a beautiful painting of the Waimea Canyon. To the left of the entrance and past the reception desk, there is library room filled with books and seating. Our luncheon was held in the Card room. There were about 40 of us in attendance. This room also gives you the feeling of comfort and welcome. The buffet was situated on tables along the windows. The food was good. There were 2 entrees - roasted chicken, shitake hoisin cream sauce and furikake crusted salmon with wasabi butter sauce. The salmon had nice flavor, not overcooked or dry and even though there was wasabi in the sauce, it wasn't a lot to be spicy. The chicken was boneless and skinless thighs, also not dry to the taste and the sauce complemented the chicken perfectly. Other items on the buffet line were caesar salad, fresh made rolls, tomato-mozzarella salad, huge fruit bowl, steamed vegetables, fried rice, and a separate dessert table. There were 3 - mini chocolate cake, apple tart, and bread pudding. The apple tart was good and the bread pudding with the sauce was ono. I didn't care for the fried rice because there were too many vegetables in it and not a local-style type fried rice. It is a nice venue to have a function and it seems to be a popular place. I noticed when we entered the building there were several functions scheduled on their events board for the rest of the day. I don't know if they were shorthanded but the wait staff did not come around to refill water glasses or iced tea. There was a table set up for coffee or tea so apparently it was self-serve after they give you the first glass. But the whole 2 hours there, no one had come by to fill our water glasses. And they seemed a little slow at removing used plates from the tables. Restrooms were very clean and had nice touches like mouthwash dispenser with paper cups and wash cloth towels to dry your hands vs paper towels. Overall, ambiance is great, food was good, improvement needed on the wait staff.
