After our initial consultation with an itemized quote, we decided to have all the flooring (and baseboards) replaced, the whole interior painted, have a couple of original exterior doors replaced, add recessed lighting to the hallway and bedrooms, and fix some areas of worn drywall. We even had all of the unwanted furniture and LOTS of junk removed by them so we didn't have to look for a separate hauling service and that helped a lot with our project. More than five stars!…read more Succinctly, we met with three or four companies to get an estimate all of whom were pleasant but, somehow, did not seem as though they were listening to what we wanted. It was different with Ammar of Kitchen Cabinet Express, Inc. After a brief introduction and a short discussion of our intentions, he got right to the point, walking with my wife, measuring and making notes and asking questions. What resulted was a reasonable estimate for the work to be done and a plan and drawings that exactly reflected our wishes. The deadline for completion was originally set for the middle of March 2026 but was completed two weeks early. Members of Ammar's team and contractors were professional, conscientious, and hard working. They showed up on time, accomplished what was scheduled for each day. As work progressed, we desired some minor changes which Ammar and his team were very flexible and responsive in accomplishing professionally and quickly. At every point - daily work and especially at the conclusion - the site was cleaned up immaculately and all detritus was hauled away instantly. Also, a great deal of care was taken to mask, cover, and protect the house, furniture, and existing fixtures from the dust and soiling that was occasioned by the remodeling work! This review is being written a month after completion as we wanted to take our time to let the "newness" wear off and appraise the overall experience. After this time for evaluation, we find the craftsmanship flawless, the cabinets and showers and baths installed beautifully and -- overall -- the incorporation into our existing home has greatly upgraded the whole affair. During the initial Consultation Alex walked us through what the process would look like and provided an idea of expectations and price range based off my previous quotes. Throughout the entire project, Alex was really easy to communicate with. He was on top of all the contractors and anytime we needed an update (because I wanted them often) he would call me with detailed information. Being our first remodel experience we had a lot of questions and didn't understand how everything worked, but Alex took his time to walk us through it all. He showed up weekly to check on the status of the project and communicated daily on what is happening next. We asked his team to do some appliance and window installation which they did. And if they didn't feel comfortable doing specialty installation he was up front and let us know. Everything in the project was well documented in the contract which helped guide expectations and communication. We were given a 12 week timeline and we got delayed from manufactures due to the holiday season. However, Alex's contractors worked weekends and in the end completed the project a week early. All of the contractors were very respectful and professional. During the final walk thru and weeks after we found little things that needed finished touch ups and his team came back to fix or touch up everything we asked for. Even a month later Alex was available immediately to help with questions/ concerns. My only recommendation is at his team consider accepting cash or credit card to collect points. At this time, they only accept checks or money order. Overall we love our kitchen and would recommend using House Of Remodeling and Alex as our project manager again.
