We hired Cal Custom Interiors to refinish our wood floors and add new wood floors into our bedroom which was previously carpeted. I contacted Marcos based on a referral from a neighbor. He was so polite, prompt and knowledgeable through the whole process. He accommodated our timing and was so easy to reach and communicate with. Sergio and Tyler worked on our floors. We cannot tell where the old floors ended and new began. They matched the new wood with the old perfectly, and were forthcoming about our flooring in advance of the job (we have old floors). Sam and his team have been great! So far we have completed two projects with a third in the near future. First, they demoed the concrete in our garage, driveway, and patio area, and replaced it with brand new concrete, a tiled patio and beautiful wood fence. I get daily compliments on the fence from our neighbors. When that project was complete, we moved inside to remodel our bathroom. I had shown Sam a picture of what I envisioned and he delivered. I had Cal Customs come out to quote a bathroom remodel after hearing great things about their work. After reviewing the scope with me I never heard back from them. I called to follow up with them and they eventually called me back saying that they weren't going to quote it. This is after during the review of scope at my house their guy Mario dropped his tape measure on my oak hardwood floors denting and scratching them. Really disappointed they wasted my time and damaged my floors. The guy didn't even apologize when he did it and no real reason was given for not quoting. read more

Do not use for commercial contracting. I'm sure based off others reviews this business does a fine job with home renovations, but using them for a commercial job was a nightmare. They were incapable of applying for permits and submitting plans that they had promised us would be no problem, resulting in our job going from a 3 month timeline to over 8 months. This resulted in costing us tens of thousands of dollars extra between having to hire other companies to do the work they had promised and months of extra rent. As well, upon inspections from the city, they had hastily overlooked a number of simple things such as strapping the water heater down, which as a result left us a laundry list of work to do ourselves as they wouldn't even answer our calls. This company is not qualified for commercial build outs. read more

I have a beautiful hardwood floor that was damaged by a cleaning lady, a slab leak and a puppy. The cleaning lady used tile cleaner on the wood in the kitchen and it took the finish off the floor. The wood had buckled in our dining room due to water damage from the slab leak, and the dog had dug three holes in the kitchen and chewed the baseboard and door jamb of the pantry. Sam, Marcos, and a great crew repaired the damage, sanded and re-varnished my entire downstairs floor. It's perfect and beautiful.
