This shop has everything- jewelry, housewares, bed frames, books, clothing, and an extensive selection of holiday-themed goods. We visited in November, and their Christmas selection is plentiful. If you are looking for some cool items to celebrate the festive season, Alfred's is a must visit. The staff was helpful in our many inquiries, and we appreciated their attention to detail and kindness. When I refused, they went to "speak to the manager", then came back and offered me a fair price, about $100 more. However, for sales on merchandise, the service is top notch! Their layaway policy has absolutely no time limit so long as you make payments each month, even if its as little as $15. My fiancé and I have a stunning engagement ring on layaway, and as a former jeweler, I can tell you we got it for at least half the retail value, possibly even better than that. We also purchased a laptop computer, only to find it defective once we brought it home. We brought it back and not only did they exchange it, but they gave us a far better system that we could never possibly afford as an even trade. They definitely insure customer satisfaction. They have a customer for life!
