Today was the first time I went here to get a watch battery. It was an old watch which belongs to…read moremy father. The watch repair person told me it was 10 dollars to replace a battery which was normal to me. After opening the watch we found out there were 3 batteries, but only one was needed to function for time keeping. She helped save me money, because it was an old watch and my father is 76 and just wants the watch to run. She was professional and efficient. I was also glad that she accepted credit cards. I dispatched the watch via UPS and paid the $35 fee for shipping and assessment. The only required repairs were a battery replacement, band replacement, and inspection. I did not receive any confirmation regarding the watch's arrival. After contacting the store via email, I received a response. Subsequently, I received a message indicating that my watch was too old and could not be repaired. I had only requested a battery replacement, but they informed me that they could not open the watch. No email or message inquired if it was acceptable to replace the battery without guaranteeing water resistance after the repair. After several emails and no response, I had to contact the store. I was informed that the watch would be returned without a new battery. I could have saved over a month of time by visiting a local store and having the battery replaced in approximately two hours. However, I believed this was the most appropriate place for this significant watch to be repaired. The sole reason this review does not receive a one-star rating is that I received a refund for the $35. However, upon receiving the watch, I discovered that the band was broken. I can assure you that it was not damaged during transit. Additionally, I found another review of a watch that was returned with a broken band. I strongly advise against sending your watch to this store. Instead, shop locally and have repairs performed. At the very least, there will be some communication. I understand that this is an older watch and may not have significant monetary value. However, it holds sentimental value for me, and to have the watch and myself treated this way is unacceptable.

I expected to just drop off the watch and wait a week or so for the bad news. I was told to wait a minute for the watchmaker to examine it. I had to step out to feed my parking meter. The owner said he also touched up the lugs of the watch. I Inspected the watch and I noticed edges of the lugs did not have it clean line to them. The side of the lugs that were supposed to be polished were brushed. And the end links had a new circular brush pattern. He attempted to repair this. When I got home, I noticed that the links have a different sort of brush pattern than the rest of the watch. I called him. He said bring it back again and I just don't think it's worth it. I may have to send it back to Rolex. I do not recommend bringing a high end watch to him. He was not good with following specific instructions.

My original platinum wedding band and…read moreengagement ring had some diamonds fall out (from another jeweler) and I did not love the design of them anymore. So Klaus created a new design for me that used the materials from both of the original rings and incorporated them into one very fabulous wedding band. The pix I took do not do it justice because the stones are set in this ring purposely to look random. When I described what I wanted to Klaus, he immediately got it and said, "like the stars in the sky" which is exactly what my new ring looks like. Whenever I look at it the perspective is always new and changing but yet it is perfectly balanced always. Also, my ring is extremely comfortable to wear AND it was done in a very reasonable amount of time. Truly, I would not go anywhere else for fine jewelry. I tried many jewelers local to me in Massachusetts before I found Klaus and none of them wanted to work with my original rings/platinum. Ajour is an hour away from my home and I still would not consider going anywhere else. Klaus is working on a new project for me now and I can't wait to see the finished product!
