One of my newest favorite indulgences... for window-shopping…read more Olivia Rose Children's Boutique has a plethora of absolutely gorgeous things for your little one. Outfits for every season and occasion, hats (oh, the hats...)... so many lovely and beautiful, fun, and (it pains me to say this) somewhat unnecessary things. I really hate to have prices highly influence my reviews, but in this economy especially, no one has superfluous funds to be spending, for example, $30 on a (albeit... ADORABLE!) crochet hat, for an infant. Or $75 on a knitted/crochet sweater. I love the things in this shop, and if I had a money tree in my backyard, I would shop here daily. But as a new Mom myself, I know how fast our little divas grow out of everything, but how fun it is to shop for special little treats in cool places like this. Great fun for a baby-splurge shopping outing, or for a fun look around. (Torture for me, I want everything!) I think there's definitely some room to lower their overall price point. I'll make periodic trips in to Olivia Rose's, JUST to keep my fellow South Shore Mama Yelpers updated... (and probably buy that silly sweater!!)

I was in the market for a vibrating chair because our babe doesn't really care for the bassinet we have. I found one made by Boppy that has different music, a plush headrest, and multiple vibrations for only $16. Finally, I did pass on this because I already have a k'atan sling, but I really really wanted another one that was practically new in the box for around $20. I paid $60 new. I always say that I thank God for blessing us with a boy, because I cannot afford a girl. Everything lady-like I see I want to buy. So beware if you have a penchant for purchasing for your little girl - they have about triple the inventory. Owner is really nice - we talked good local brunch places.

After he was born I ordered a towel w/ sailboats and his name on it. I ended up calling to order it rather than going through the site because I don't like PayPal, which they use. It's a long story. Don't ask. The woman I spoke to was friendly and warm. She was a little apologetic that it would take maybe three weeks, I told her not to worry about it, that I'd waited this long to contact her and could wait a little longer. We agreed the baby wouldn't know the difference. The towel arrived while we were in KC and I opened it last night when we got home. It is a gorgeous blue, soft and beautifully crafted. I just love it and so will Mommy and Baby, I think. Enclosed was a sweet note w/ another apology for the wait and a coupon for a discount on my next order. Well, I have a little great niece who will be turning 2 this summer and could use a towel w/ her name on it. I look forward to choosing the color and design. This will not be my last purchase here. I think the prices are extremely reasonable and the website gives you a good sense of her products, which Jennifer lists in more detail in her review.

Great prices and constantly refreshed inventory! What a gem!…read more This is probably my most visited clothing shop since our temporary move to South County RI! The plethora of high quality (several still with their original tags) children's clothes, shoes, and toys is spectacular. You will not find prices cheaper than these. She keeps the place very organized and has sales on top of her already well-priced items. Each time I visit, perhaps once a month to get clothes for my 3.5 year old and more so for my now 1 year old, I find I leave with way more than I anticipated! $40 will get me sometimes 10 items! I especially love that she has a $2 off coupon on her receipt to be used within a few weeks I believe. The owner, Nathalie, is so warm and kind. She has an adorable kitten (Miley?) that keeps her company at the shop. I've enjoyed exchanging stories with her. What a wonderful community she has cultivated too! (Didn't realize I had already written a review on this place 2 months ago. Guess it just goes to show how much I love this place!)

They have special occasion dresses for a baptism or first communion. Their casual dresses and outfits are adorable, however the cost is a bit high considering these are for the growing child. Personally, I think a $75 casual summer dress for a five year old, isn't the most consumer friendly purchase. Maybe your child's special birthday dress, could come from The Blue Horse. Additionally they also sell children's books and licensed stuffed animals. The Blue Horse is located in Downtown Mystic.

I visited the Bridal and Prom Discount Warehouse during my search for the perfect dress and I am really glad that I did. I didn't find my dress here but my experience was one of the best I had bridal gown shopping. All of the gowns here are under $500 and their selection is quite extensive. My group and I spent a good amount of time perusing the rows upon rows of styles in my size range. The two young ladies working that day collected everything we pulled and let us take as much time as we desired picking things out. I really wish I knew their names but the two employees working that day were wonderful. It was like I had two extra girls in my entourage. They were helpful and honest and I really appreciated that. It is irritating to a point to have a consultant simply tell you how gorgeous you look in every dress. These ladies on the other hand were able to read my enthusiasm (or lack thereof) for the gowns I tried on and were able to point out things that worked for my body and those that did not. These girls were genuine and real and their authenticity was well-received with my group. I do wish that I had found my dress here because I would have LOVED to pay under $500 but alas, it was not meant to be. I absolutely recommend checking this place out. You might get lucky and fall in love with something! The dresses were in good condition, some minor defaults here and there that could be corrected during fittings and alterations. The building itself could use a little sprucing up but the dressing and viewing area were comfortable and neat. If you are stopping through Fall River, put this place on your list! We make our way downstairs with the help of an associate here names Allison. They have a decent amount of dresses all sizes and styles , but since it's a discount store you can find stains and missing beads and stuff but a lot of the dresses are super cute it's just being able to find your style and size. They have 3 racks with more new style fashion , and the other 3 racks were for a bit older fashion. OH and they also have 2 smaller racks of short prim dresses , I'm sorry we were looking at longer prim dresses. The prices are super cheap, I saw dresses from 49.00-200.00. All the dresses my sister looked at were under 100.00, she didn't get anything here because she's still looking around but the one she did like was too small unfortunately. Allison was amazing she helped us as much as possible even with others being in the store as well. This place is super clean , and there's enough space to move around , the racks are packed and the dresses weigh a lot so your arm will hurt HAH! We made our way upstairs my mother insisted I start looking at wedding dresses , I am engaged but this woman is pushing for us to set a date can't you tell HAH, so go make my mother happy I looked at alllllllll the racks in my sizes , so many beautiful dresses , I was in AWE , once again Allison helped me set me and helped me with all my dresses, the one I liked had a terrible rip in the back but she said she would discount it like I said in the beginning it's a discount store so you will find flaws, but it's so worth the trip to check it out. Alexandras boutique owns this place as well and they're down the street. Any-who this place has a 5 lot parking spot it's super tight but it beats having to pay the meters. It's a small house /boutique which is so cute. My only complaint was the parking situation we have a mid-size truck so just a small area to maneuver in the parking lot. This place is great though. Also this place is right off a busy road so it's one car in and one car out at a time , which you block the whole road.
