Amazing spot. Even has Tesla destination chargers. Once you arrive, you leave your car parked by the reception, and then there's a shuttle that takes you to the restaurant. A fun winery experience down in the valle with some stunning views of the ocean at sunset. Definitely a place you have to make a reservation ahead of time and a bit of coordination involved - with a shuttle bus to the top and a deposit / minimum required for seating. The food here was amazing, we had a party of 6 and shared the aguachiles, ceviche & oysters for starters. My main course was a ribeye cooked to perfection. Food was really good overall and the dessert was decent nothing crazy just a crepe with ice cream. Service was outstanding and super attentive. When you arrive you park at the bottom of a mountain side and are taken up by a small bus to the restaurant. It's all gravel (not dirt) so if you plan on wearing your best shoes careful. Definitely not worth staying here! We stayed in the master suite with swimming pool in late February. A huge rainstorm rolled through and the walls and windows leaked in several areas leaving large puddles on the floor. Some of the interior walls are very rough stone and I scraped my hand deeply when I tripped on the stairs and caught myself on the wall. The shower floor is made from wood so old that it dipped and creaked noticeably when I stepped in. The downstairs area smelled faintly of sewage, worse when the water is running. The mini kitchenette was minimally stocked and lacked many basics like hot pads for the air fryer and a chopping knife. Chopping an onion with a bread knife is....interesting. The worst was that we woke up on our final morning to a mouse climbing up the bed and under our pillow! Never returning! read more

The views!!!! Are amazing, made a sunset reservation for four people and we we're definitely not disappointed. The breeze and the ocean view is the beginning and the end of this restaurant. We booked our reservation and had to pay around $60 a person (credited towards your bill) in addition to the fee they charged for the shuttle which transported you up the hill to the restaurant. Tomahawk was definitely a waste. It lacked flavor, fatty and temperature was warm. The best part about the meal was the potatoes, I could have just eaten those without the steak. We also tried their ceviche, which had good flavor but the jumbo shrimp left whole in the dish were tough and should have been chopped smaller. The drinks are watered down and overall I found several better places to eat in the valle. This was definitely a one time experience for me and all though I look forward to going back to the valle, this will not be a stop on my list. Some must try restaurants in the Valle: 1. I traveled to this resort for a destination wedding, and I wish I had known what I know now before going. I have been going to Mexico for over 40 years, and I love it. I am typically not worried too much about crime; however, visiting Cuatro Cuatros reminded me that a lot of these places see tourists as targets for theft and worse. I stayed in Casa 33, which BTW is $1,000 a night, and my car was robbed, wallet and car keys taken, and the thief actually tried to enter the house as well. Thank God my husband was there. I could not figure out how the theives managed to take the stolen credit cards and so quickly get into Ensenada to use them. Then I found the hidden road next to the "security gate" that gives criminals from the outside complete access to the property, particularly the houses at the bottom of the hill. All they have to do is turn down the full-ass dirt road before the "security station," and they can drive all the way up to these luxury houses, park behind a thin wall of bamboo and then penetrate the brush and commit whatever crimes they want before exiting quickly through the handy "door" they created. Also, there is this shabby "gate" supposedly protecting visitors. Pathetic and unacceptable. I have provided pictures here as evidence. When I tried to explain this to the manager and higher ups, they gave me the typical shrug and said the contract states they are not responsible for any theft during my stay. Nor are they responsible for the $1,000 tow it took to get my car back to the states so I could get a new key. In fact, they refused to reimburse us for anything, not even a free freakin' margarita, and did not honor their free breakfast offer if you book through the resort, which I did. These people are GREEDY CRIMINALS who want nothing other than to take advantage of visitors. After casing the situation and talking to the staff, I can tell you right now this is an INSIDE CRIMINAL OPERATION AT CUATRO CUATROS. They turn a blind eye to these intrusions, minimize the risk, and do nothing to protect or support their guests. An unamed employee TOLD ME THIS. If you decide to stay at this property, you absolutely do so at your own risk. I feel lucky to have gotten out without something worse happening. I am a seasoned gringa who is telling you the truth, so if you are an Americano, watch your back and stay away from this place. And it's not cheap, so for the money, you could easily find something much nicer and friendlier. It's hot as hades here and they have ZERO pools on the property, except for in two luxury houses on the hill. Service is slow, and they don't give you a golf cart so you have to walk everywhere on the sprawling property. Overall, this place is NO BUENO, and I will never, ever go back. Bar Bura is still as incredible as ever. This update is a review for Tahona bar - the sister location of the San Diego bar bearing the same name. They specialize in Mezcal tastings/drinks and we adored our experience tasting three brands aboard a boat boat. Our guide, Barbie, and her colleague Evan were incredibly friendly. We loved learning more about the drinks and pairing them with slices of fresh fruit + chocolates. A unique and memorable experience for 500 pesos ($25/person). Afterwards, we headed down to the regular bar, which was in a beautiful outdoor setting with large wooden tables. I enjoyed some dessert, which was reminiscent of beignets. We hung by the hostess area while sipping wine and enjoying a live band that was great. Then you get called up and driven on a shuttle up to the hilltop over looking the ocean with a fresh breeze. This was our last stop in Valle de Guadalupe. There was a long wait for the shuttle to get to the cliffs, so we checked out the boat that was next to the vineyards. It was neat to climb the stairs to get on this boat-shaped bar. My friends ordered drinks to kill some time and we walked back to the main area to see if we could finally get on the bus. They never called our name like they said they would, but luckily we were able to catch the bus before the sun set. The view here is gorgeous- you get the same scenery from their bathroom stalls! They don't offer much food here- mainly appetizers. We shared the octopus, 2 aguachiles, the cheese platter, and the 2 yellowtail carpacios. The food was pretty tasty, but not very filling. Service was alright. Our bill was combined with the group next to us and we just met them LOL. If you decide to check this touristy place out, be sure to bring some sort of outerwear because it gets very chilly up here! read more

The only thing worth stopping here for are the views. They're incredible. The problem is you can expect to be treated like a second class citizen just to see them. We arrived early (11 AM) thinking we would get in. The front desk advised we could wait until 12:30 just to get on the wait list. We opted to come back later in the day. By 3:00 we only had to wait about 20 minutes before we paid $200 MXN each to be transported to the overlook and then another $900 MXN in credit to use at the top, which we had to find creative ways to do. Not being hungry, we ended up taking a bottle of wine and some water and coffee to go. As for the wine itself, it sucks. I tried all three options by the glass while waiting (exchanged a Cab for a Merlot, which also sucked and then a Sauv Blanc, which also sucked). This place is definitely not known for its wine. I'd say just stick to the views, but they force you to spend money with the BS credit. No wonder they charge up front. read more

I had very high expectations based on the reviews and pictures of this winery. I booked a reservation in advance paid and navigated their not so easy website to pay for our tasting. My group and I booked a car with driver to get us to this destination and planned accordingly so that we would maximize our experience. When we arrived the front staff told our work that the winery was closed. We had to reroute out agenda based on their advice. The next day I messaged the winery and they told us that they were indeed open . I was so disappointed that they have such bad communication within their team that they turned us away with reservations. read more

We arrived right in time to watch the sunset and that was a high light! This location is located high on a cliff, with a fun vibe of music , cocktails, and views over looking the ocean. It had a feel as though you were in Greece parting it up, sans the hay that were covered with a cloth that you sat on here. I ordered the Mezcal Coctail and munched on ceviche while taking photos of the sunset. Not a bad way to end the day and reflect on the moment and the future all at once! The service was good, the food and drinks excellent and overall, I would definately reccomend this location for those wanting a hip place to relax and enjoy the day! Beautiful winery with superb ocean view! Thus far, this is the only vineyard in Valle De Guadalupe that has an overlooking view of the ocean. There is an infinity view feels when you sit at the closest lounge area that overlooks the ocean. The ocean view and sunset views are some of the best! In fact, there is a helicopter experience to fly around Baja should you feel brave and up for it. You park your car and receive a bus ride up the mountain to get to the vineyard location. Their oysters and octopus, along with their wine, are quite tasty! I definitely love returning to this winery and enjoy the food and drinks with views every single time. read more

The view here is spectacular, and the food is bomb. Arriving on top of the hill and taking in the view is truly breathtaking. Everyone talks about the bathroom, but it's really that spectacular. The service took a bit of time, but the quality of the food and drinks was great. The sangria was tasty, the tuna pate was delectable, and wow the shrimp ceviche was a dream. I didn't try a lot of their drinks but they have a large selection, especially given the location on a cliff. It was a great experience and I was surprised at how good the food and drinks were, as they could really sell anything given the view. I will say that it can be hard to contact them; my friend found multiple numbers and it was hard to call them. However, the view itself is so worth it. I wish we had arrived earlier in the day so we could see everything and get some more good photos in. The place is beautiful. Came here on August 19th, we were in the valle celebrating our anniversary. We have been in the valle before but never stopped here. I'm so glad we did! It was amazing! So far my favorite one from the whole valle. Even though this one is a little bit before you get into the actual valle. It is a little confusing, you don't know where to go, but people there are super nice and friendly! And helpful! They helped us right away. We were told about bar bura and to take the little bus all the way up there. It was like 100 pesos I think can't remember! It was worth it! A complementary drink is included. And it takes around 10 mins to get there. Once you are there wow!! The views are incredible amazing. Unique views. You get to enjoy the view of the beach!! Super fresh! Everything it's covered from the sun. Super relaxing!! It's full of nice coaches and tables with chairs! It's amazing. They also have food and wine! We ordered a house sangria, and some items. The octopus and the aguachiles. They were bomb but too small :(. Prices can be a little bit pricy but worth it! It was such a romantic place to go and enjoy it. Although this place has a beautiful scenery and great atmosphere, they have a new concept, at one time you pay five dollars and you get a ride up to the top. well now what they are doing ...they are charging $45 per person so that's $90 a couple from that $90 you have credit -$10 from the van ride so you have $80 per couple. This place is amazing! First, service is one of the most important things to me and EVERYONE is incredible! They seek to ensure you have a memorable experience and anything they can do to make that happen. Daniel at Bura, Sinai at reception, and the manager (female I didn't get her name) at the winery were so amazing! Brenda took us on our horseback riding tour and she was fantastic. We stayed in cabaña 7 and I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend making reservations at Bura for an early dinner so you can watch the sunset- really this is a must for how beautiful and memorable the experience is (look at that fog, looks like we're dining in the clouds!) also, you know how a lot of places kind of don't care about you as much at the end of your stay because you're leaving...? Not this place down to the very last moment when we were leaving the property they were incredible. I really don't have enough kind and grateful words for the experience they give. A couple of thing to consider: bring a book or maybe a yoga mat and try and do some early morning meditation, take the 2 hour horseback ride instead of 1, YOU MUST Go to at sunset, Tahona is a fun and energetic experience, and lastly take the time to disconnect from your day to day. 4 stars is about right. We got the platinum package, which cost the most and got us the best seats in the house. Pros: * The panoramic view is world class. Just gorgeous. I told my wife that it was Mexico's Amalfi Coast. * The ambiance is pretty cool and because it's open air, it just has such a cool feel to it. * The breeze was really nice and not overpowering. * The mixed drinks were good. Cons: * The place is a bit tricky to find. Our GPS kept taking us to the wrong side of the mountain, where there was no access. We had to switch apps to finally find it, and that entailed another 20 minutes to get around the other side. * The shuttle ride up was bumpy and unpleasant, and they really shouldn't be charging for it. But it was ok. Coming back everyone was tipsy and the driver played loud music and it was kinda fun. * The restaurant seats were AWFUL. They were literally bales of straw with a cushion on top and some sort of back rest attached. I kid you not. And it felt like there were metal bars going under my butt, no matter where I sat. They were really uncomfortable and super cheezey and unbecoming of a place like this. * The food is good not great, and it's definitely expensive. * The wine is just ok and overpriced. What looked like a 2 ounce pour of Cab - what some wineries give for a sample - was $9. It wasn't that good either. Tasted like $5/bottle wine at Trader Joe's. * The table next to us, which paid less for their location on the patio, was rowdy, half-drunk, and noisy and spent half their time in front of us taking pictures of themselves, all ~ 25 of them. The point is, if you buy the platinum package, you have the best view in the place, so everyone else who isn't sitting there wants their photos taken there. The restaurant should moderate this in some way and tell people to take pics in their own sections. This place is like the grand canyon. You have to go once, but after that, it's generally not worth a 2nd trip. read more

I came to Cuatros Cuatros in the summer of 2017 and had a great time. My friend had recently had a birthday and she wanted to try out several different venues in the Valle de Guadalupe using Uber Valle. When you come to three the entrance you are given a few different options before proceeding. Since we had heard about the view at the upper restaurant we decided to pay the $100 Pesos and try it out. You first park and then take a bus up a steep incline. Once you get off you will glad you decided on that option. The view is worth it alone. To stop your wondering as to what Cuatro Cuatros means as we asked the server. When the owners bought the property the cost of the land had 4 fours is the price. This wine bar has a great layout as it has straw bales with blankets over them as the benches and tables. There are several tables along the western side that I recommend you try and get your hands on as you will be in a perfect place for multiple selfies as you dine. I ordered a hamburger which was delicious, while the price was a tad high. It was accompanied with a handful of fries. The wine we tried went well with it. The vibe of this place is so relaxing. One factor that made this so was that they took American pop music and hip hop songs and slowed down the tempo to match the setting. I took away one star because we were disappointed that they did not offer a wine sampling as we were expecting. Most places in the area offer a wine tasting which gives a few ounces of three or so different wines to try out. This place did not. Even though it is not five star in my view I would love to return again as it is so unique and worth the drive from Tijuana. It would also be great to spend the night or a few hours (wink wink) in one of the cabanas. read more

I cannot recommend this hotel/glamping place highly enough. We stayed in a cabaña, which overlooked the valley and vineyards. Gorgeous, and great breezes through our room. Checking in was confusing, but we got it eventually. Knowing more Spanish would have been helpful. Most of the front desk staff speaks English, which was nice for us gringas. They were very helpful and attentive. We got picked up at 5:30 am by a golf cart (you can't drive directly out to the cabañas) so that we could get home on time. Very friendly staff. Take the bus (just tell them your staying at the hotel and it's free) up to the hilltop bar for an unforgettable time. Breathtaking views of the ocean and great drinks and food. read more

I highly recommend this place is beautiful peaceful The cabanas are equipped with everything you need from mini bar chimney electric heaters to AC showers with hot and cold water. toilets each cabana has their own. So private you can order anything trough the walkie talkie the food is delicious. The view at bar bura is amazing no words can describe it. They have a restaurant, massage area but that one you reserve it with time. People that work there are nice and friendly.
