I contacted ANSELL WINE TOURS for a Wine Tour of the Guadalupe Valley. I did so because of all the 5 Star Reviews, and the claims of NO SURPRISE CHARGES. Moreover, on their flyer, that my decision was initially made, the words were, ALL INCLUSIVE WINE TOURS!!! We were pick up on time by our guide, CLEMENTE. We had arranged for 4 wineries and 1 restaurant for lunch. AT OUR FIRST STOP, we were informed that we had to pay for EVERY TASTING AND LUNCH. Which winery was that, ADOBE GUADALUPE Vineyard. SO, the $67 winery charges were TOTALLY UNEXPECTED!!! We each shared FOUR GLASSES of Wine. We were told about each wine by a very nice, pleasant and intelligent young lady. We then, however, decided to skip one winery, but we asked whether we could include La Bufadora. WE WERE TOLD, no, no, no. HOWEVER, they had no problem suggesting a restaurant change, which had a 1 hour plus wait!!! Originally, we were set to arrive back at the hotel at 6:45 PM, but we arrived earlier at 4:00 PM. Why no La Bufadora, THEN??? We especially liked this winery because of the SPANISH ARCHITECTURE, and the private nature of our tasting. read more

I enjoyed a $15 four wine tasting in the pretty garden, next to an upscale food truck with a duck confit sandwich. There are plenty of birds in the trees and a couple was enjoying a horseback ride through the vineyards (reservations required). While their rosé isn't much, the 3 red blends were quite good: $35 to $50 a bottle. A nice place for a siesta. read more

I love this place! It's my second trip staying at the inn, my third at the property (my second time, I ate at the restaurant, but stayed somewhere else). I've been coming here since 2004. To me, the highlight of this place is the owner, Tru Miller. She is warm and generous. Ask her about her days as a Pan Am stewardess. The inn features a delicious breakfast daily and a wine tasting is included in their private cellar. The rooms are quite large, clean, and well appointed. I would have had dinner there as well, but wasn't feeling my best for a few days there. All in all, I think it's an excellent property to stay at in Valle de Guadalupe. read more

One of our favorite wineries. We come every time we come to Valle, probably a dozen times, and it's amazing every time. We have come on firm trips, anniversary party trips, and just w/ family and friends. We did a tasting today w/ a Sauvignon Blanc (Jardin Magico; very good); rose ((Uriel), not as good, and the Jardin de Tru (blend of Syrah, Merlot, Grenache, Cinsault & Mourvèdre; very good). But our favorite is the Setafiel, a cab Syrah blend ($41 US/ bottle). Food from food truck is amazing, too! read more

Beautiful vineyard with soft delectable red blends. This is one of the few vineyards where I actually enjoy every single tasting. We've been lucky we got to go to this vineyard twice when we lived in San Diego. We have gotten the Miguel and Serafiel. Our friends also liked the Secret Garden (Jardín Secreto). Too bad you're only allowed to bring back 1 bottle per person to when crossing the border. Plan ahead and reserve your tour/tasting online; I believe the tour & tasting is around 22-25 bucks per person. I would also recommend that you eat your lunch at the Adobe food truck parked outside first before starting your wine tour. The ladies are friendly! read more

I've been here twice. The first time the tasting server didn't know anything about any of the wines, none of which were good anyway. The second time I went back was before 11 AM. Most vineyards in the Valley don't open until 11, so I was just buying time. Tasting is $300 MXN. 3 reds and 1 white. Every wine I've had from here I've rated 3 out of 5 stars. There is a food truck, which I haven't tried. No tips on credit cards. read more

Stopped by a few weeks ago at opening for the wine tasting. Everything was great, but I was especially impressed by their Syrah blend. Food is closed until later in the morning around noon so don't show up super early if you also want to eat. If you don't speak Spanish well it's not an issue since the employees are happy to speak in English. I'd definitely come back again and buy more wines. Stop by if you are in the valley. read more

This was our 4th Stop on our YEE wine Tour adventure with Boca Roja Baja Wine Adventure Tour Co. While reading up on the venue, everything I was reading about this place was about the Taco Truck and how amazing their food was! Leda and chef Pita were amazing hosts and made us a specialized menu for our group. This is a classic case of "dont judge a book by its cover"!! Initally, when I heard food truck I was thinking ok, tacos, burritos. Instead I experienced passion, love, and gormet cuisine. Yes, in the middle of mexico at a random local, gormet foood out of a food truck!! How does Tim Find these places!! Im bringing my parents here and taking a girls trip for the food. Its that Goooood!!! We were served Tapas Family style and honestly, each dish was a morgasm through and through! The oilve oil they used was sooo scrumptous that I had to bring some back for my mom at the gift shop! Thank You Eliter Andrea for the suggestion!! You were 100% Right on the money!! You are the best! Immediately, we were greeted like we stepped into our favorite aunts house. It was warm, inviting, and loving! This was my highlight!! We had drink choices: Aqua de Fresca , Rose, Beers, etc. I chose Rose which was perfect!! I also tried Sarah's Agua de Fresca What we were served: Pato Corfitado : Duck confit Aka Duck Torta : slow cooked duck, prepared like a pulled brisket, and as Leda says "prepared and cooked with love" and you could taste it in each bite!! Along with our Torta we were served with a green side salad that had a hint of thai vinegerette sauce. Champinones al ajillo: Mushroom sautee with garlic, guajillo pepper & olive oil. The texture and mixture of the olive oil, mushroom mix was heaven! Sausage al Brandy- tender polish sausage, flambee with onions & sweet peppers. Tabla de Quesos: assorted cheese plate with a special marmalade/jam topping with cream cheese was mouth watering with the fresh bread combo mix!! Picosito de Sausage y Camaron: spicy mix of polish sausage, shrimp, potatoes, and the added olive oil that made this dish my favorite!! Holy mother of moregasms. I honestly, was not sharing this one dish!! I need to go back here!!! While we were eating and enjoying each bite I noticed a cute vizula named Rafeal and couldnt resist saying hello. On site, there is a gift shop that sells trinkets, various assorted wines, tequila, liquor, trinkets, jewelry, etc to name a few. All reasonably priced and would definately go back to purchase more stuff. Because we had to go to our final destination to Cuatros Cuatros to watch the sun set, we had to leave so I didnt have enough time to buy more stuff. I was able to buy the olive oil and jump into the van and we jetted off to Quatro Quatro just in the nick of time! Thank you to Leda, and the chefs at Adobe for the magical culinary experience! If you visit the valley, this is as good a place as any to visit. The wines are pretty good, but the location and vibe are fantastic. Get the wine pours inside. (There are four, and all two ounce pours.) Then take them outside to one of the shaded tables and enjoy the scene, watch the small birds, and perhaps enjoy something from the permanent food truck. I was not very impressed with their wine or layout of their property. The wines were not very good but the employees were all very friendly and knowledgeable which made up for the wines flavor. I also did not like that it does not clearly state anywhere that whoever wine tastes would not be able to visit the pool or other areas unless you are staying there at their hotel. The views we had from our wine cellar were sub par and if I had known we couldn't visit the other areas I would not have made reservations. The wine tastings were about $22 a person and we had to make reservations and pay ahead of time. We also had to wait for an employee to take us to another side of the property (gated) and the communication between the employees lacked. I most likely will not be back. read more

Loved this winery and will definitely return. We had a private wine tasting reservation for a group of 6 and were greeted right away. We had the pleasure of having Nereida as our wine hostess and she gave us a great run through of all the wines and answered any other questions with great detail and she was very knowledgeable and great customer service! This review is on the winery, we did not stay at the inn. We actually stopped here twice. One of the days we stopped here, we got a couple of wine tastings inside, and got a cheese board and some pineapple fresca from the food truck. The second time we came here, I picked up 3 bottles of olive oil for gifts. Both times the food truck ladies were so nice! The lady inside, not as much. She gave us a bit of a hassle when we wanted to sit outside with the wine tasting because they said we couldn't bring the glasses outside. So if you go to the food truck and grab the glasses from them, then you can sit outside with the wine. Such a cute building it's in! Becky said prior, the wine tasting was by reservation only, but now they built the new building, they are open daily to the public without reservations. The olive oil here is a lil more expensive than elsewhere, but the bottles are fancy and the olive oil is good here! read more

The first time I visit Adobe Guadalupe in May I had an incredible experience. However, my experience there last weekend was definitely unsatisfactory. The first time we ordered a delicious cheese platter and wanted to go back for the cheese! When my family and I arrived, they said they did not have any seating for a group of seven. We offered to wait until a table was ready but they insisted that they did not have adequate seating for more than five people which made no sense to me because there were clearly larger tables. We said we would order food from the food truck and eat it off to the side and they refused to allow us to order any food from the food truck. It was surprising and disappointing. Eventually, we were about to walk out when my mother decided to try one last time. Finally, they said they had space for us to sit. Once seated, the food was great of course and the wine was delicious. It is unfortunate that the quality of service tainted the overall experience. On a positive note, my family ranked Adobe Guadalupe as having the Best Wine out of the 10 wineries we have visited. Even though the wine was wonderful, I just couldn't get past the lack of customer service. read more

Excellent setting and helpful customer service. Was very happy when our sommelier shushed entitled groups in the tasting room who were too loud. And please people if you open the front door to an establishment and it doesn't close behind you then it's your responsibility to close it! Too many lame ass folks from Estados Unidos violated this social norm. After all of that it's unfortunate that the wine wasn't superlative. Kudos for the electric car charging. Have to ask for the gate to be opened to the hotel. read more

No mezcal tastes. I really want to buya bottle. But I'm assuming it's shit since you won't let me taste it. So perhaps you guys did me a favor there. It probably is crap. I loved this place. I ran into the owner, Mrs. Miller, on a little grounds tour and must say, she is really a genuine person and makes everyone feel special. Even the staff rave of her and love her. You can feel the love just being there. I felt like I was in a Vineyard in Italy. I mean, I think I did - how would I know, never been but It was lovely. There are rooms for rent and I want, no, I will, to get in on that. It's peaceful out here. This was just one of our stops on the "Boca Roja" tour - see my forthcoming review of the "Boca Roja" tour - a must experience tour of several fine places in Mexico from border to vineyard. You must do this tour. You will love it. This was stop number 4, I think - who's counting when having fun, right? - My favorite winery visit. We were subject to nothing but kindness, hospitality, beautiful wines, people and scenery. Life slows down in these parts so take advantage of the relaxation, we all need it. I cannot go on about the value of a wine's texture, legs, smells, aroma and other terms used in wine tasting because I feel I can only express myself in that moment but I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed the wine we tasted and the love that I felt went into their making. I believe in the wine experience and the capturing of a moment in time and I believe Adobe Guadalupe Vineyards & Inn has done just such a thing. Is it possible? Yes! I believe it is. Bravo! Nice atmosphere and great wine too! If you enjoy a peaceful scenario while you sip your wine this is a great spot in The Valley.

We purchased two rooms at the hotel and unfortunately had to cancel our trip. We tried reinstating the reservation several times but they could not accommodate on the weekends we had available. Now Mara Bello the new manager advised us after weeks of waiting that the credit is expired. According to the owner Ms. Tru there was nothing they were willing to do. They never told us and it was never documented that the credit had an expiration date. We have been customers of Adobe for a long time. We knew everyone at the hotel and made good friends at Adobe so I feel disappointed and ripped off. Shame on Adobe for treating long time customers badly. read more

Adobe Guadalupe Vineyards produces some of my favorite wines in all of the Valle de Guadalupe, which is to say, some of the best wine in all of the world. Winemaker Tru has cultivated within her staff the grace and warmth she constantly puts out into the world, and the effect is evident. From the warm hospitality of the bed and breakfast, with so many personal touches, to the beauty of the landscaped vineyards and their art, which appealed to the Walking Dead who shot the reality version of that show on these beautiful grounds (they say the appeal is in the contrast!) Adobe Guadalupe is where I want to stay when I'm in the Valle de Guadalupe, and what I want to drink when I'm not. read more

Having been to the Valle a few times before, we wanted to try something different this time around. We had previously visited the beautiful Adobe Guadalupe property and decided to book a horseback ride for Sunday morning. We were incredibly pleased with our experience from the reservation process (team went out of their way and made all communications very easy) and the ride itself. The new trainer, Williams, and his partners made the morning very memorable and enjoyable. Plus, as inexperienced riders, we felt totally safe with the beautiful horses in his capable hands. The added bonus is the 10+ dogs that hang out in the stable. We've only been back for a few days and have showed people pictures countless time! We'll be back and highly recommend. read more

The Adobe Guadalupe winery is quaint and rustic. The wine offer is good. I was happy to find a rosié. The hotel looks amazing and is on the property with the winery. They offer a gourmet food truck and the food was very good. It's a quiet scene which was nice at the end of a long day of wine tasting. read more

We have nothing but great things to say for the wine pairing dinner we attended. We were joined by Tru and Jose. We found them to be delightful company. The other guests were friendly and interesting. It felt like we were at a close friends house for dinner. The food and wine were wonderful. Loved this place! Didn't need an appointment and was greeted with excellent wine and a delightful food truck. I don't usually like Chardonnays, but I liked the tasting of the one I had here. The gal doing the tasting explained that the dryness of the valley means their Chardonnays have less of that oaky flavor that I dislike. The food truck food was delicious, but we are sad the chef didn't feel comfortable serving the ceviche she had prepared. Though I don't want to risk eating bad ceviche for a couple of reasons...
