I stumbled on Heirloom's "Bronze Age", a Saison, in a store here in OKC and it is amazing. Since we had a short trip to Tulsa already scheduled, we stopped by the brewery to check it out. First, unlike many (most) breweries located where most breweries seem to be, in older areas of large cities, Heirloom has their own parking lot and plenty of parking. As others have mentioned, there was a BBQ food trailer out front, but we had just eaten, so we didn't try that. Upon entering the taproom, the first thing that hit us was the amazing smell of coffee, quickly followed by a friendly greeting from the staff. We sat at the bar and I ordered a flight (Saison, English Mild, Gose & French Ale) and my wife ordered a latte. All four beers were excellent and I tried two more, an American Pale Ale and an IPA, which were also excellent. I finished my wife's latte and it was amazing! Fully equal in quality to the beer. The beer server was very attentive, without being overbearing, and was very helpful in answering all of my questions. I highly recommend Heirloom Rustic Ales to anyone who loves beer. I've tried a lot of craft beer and Heirloom's is truly exceptional in quality.

The space had a really chill vibe and the beer was superb with a great, unique selection. My favorites were the Scotch ale and the vanilla blonde. They also sell six-packs and even kegs if you want to take some home. The service was great as well, everyone was friendly and helpful. If you're looking for great beer, it's definitely worth the trip even if you're not in Broken Arrow.

I think the total number of musicians was 12. It was great to see them just have fun. This is a very kid friendly brewery with a separate play area for the kids. Staff is friendly and inviting. Owners are on premises working and it's always good to see them. Really haven't had a beer here that I didn't like and I love the four oz. pours. We tried the Hazy, the barley wine, velocity, blonde, and a lager. While the barley wine was a little heavy for me, the others were good. (Yes, I was having 4 oz. pours.) If you haven't visited The Nook, add it to your next brewery tour.

In search of dinner and cold beer, I fell into what looked like a brand new brew pub but also looked like it may have been closed for the evening... Rachel the brewtender was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. What I learned was that I arrived 15 minutes after the early crowd disappeared and that, even on a Friday night, the pub closes before 11:00 when the bars get busy. Renaissance has a great little thing going here -- the owner is a meisterbrewer trained in Germany! I can tell you from tasting four different beers, his craft is top-notch! I enjoyed a maibock and a light stout (just north of being a porter) which Rachel described as being a mix between an English and an Irish stout, I think. I might be wrong. To be sure, this is not a bar, as I was explained. They don't offer anything else but beer and of course not alcoholic drinks. For dinner, I had a brisket panini. I should note, that's all they offer is paninis. Nothing else. In one sense, that's totally cool because it allows them to be great at one thing and not less than average at a lot of things. However, my brisket panini tasted good but was sorely lacking on volume. Perhaps in Oklahoma they just don't give the volume of meat like they do in Texas or Chicago or Kansas City or elsewhere. With that being said, it tasted great and came with enough extras on the side to satisfy. The dining room and bar area are absolutely clean, welcoming, energetic... Even as I was the only customer there until a second gentleman showed up. It was nice to see Rachel engage with this gentleman who was a regular customer. It was clear that she treated everyone equally, with as much friendliness and helpfulness. There was definitely enough parking around the neighborhood.

The beer was fresh and the current seasonal cider was fantastic (triple berry). We started with two appetizers: garlic knots with their pub beer cheese dip and one of the BEST spinach artichoke dips we have had in a long time: sooooo yummy! We got a Caesar salad and pizza "to go" because we were quit full after the apps. There are TVs for watching then latest sports and different table sizes; it's just a fun place to hang out and RELAX.
