I have been to hop the Griffin probably half a dozen times this year in 2023 and it is a great local option. It has some of those awkward, weird things that are off that make it such a great mom and pop shop. There are also some really great things. Great thing number one: the hidden outdoor patio. This is a gem replete with uncomfortable seating a view of pond, breeding mosquitoes and poor drainage with decent sometimes excellent service from the servers inside! Great thing number two: they have really great wine events. They're a little pricey like $60-$70 and they come with a cheese pairing that is not going to be sufficient for dinner but perhaps we could eat first next time and then attend wine pours in the wine tasting, are very generous, and the tables were set gloriously . Definitely worth a stop in

Great room for improvement and we will be back. (I just had to qualify that at the beginning of this review because there's such promise here and I wish the owners the best!) We did go on opening weekend, I believe. I love the way that they have turned the old French Hen into a cozy pub and I adore the outdoor seating area. It's quite spacious inside and the pool table and darts add to the pub feel. Service was good. It took us a while to figure out if we ordered at the bar or not. We finally sat down and were waited on pretty quickly. We ordered a pint of the Irish Red Ale and a flight (Mona Tree IPA, Golden Talon, Summer Winds, and Triple Honey). I enjoyed all of the flight samples and probably couldn't pick a favorite from the Mona Tree, the Summer Winds and the Triple Honey. I ended up ordering a pint of the later to further enjoy. The Red Ale was not so much of a hit. It just seemed flat. We did try the pretzel with cheese that was delicious. The longer we stayed, the busier the place got and it did seem like a lot of friends and family were coming in to support the new business. There was an off smell to the place that we really couldn't put our fingers on. Again, I will be back for some outside seating and to sample some more of their food. The menu is limited but sufficient with things like dogs and brats, frito chili pies, nachos and those pretzels! The owners were checking in regularly with us throughout our stay. (We spied the charcuterie-cheese board on they way out. It looked spectacular.)

Hop the griffin is a hidden gem in Tulsa. I came for a wine and charcuterie event and they gave us three wines paired with nibbles and a lively discussion. I'm already eagerly awaiting the next event. Yasmin paired with lavender bud espresso cheese.

I had never been here before until I went for a wine tasting. It's about 20 plus minutes from my house so it's not close enough to frequent for me. Everyone was super nice But I wish there had been some more affordable wine choices. Everything they had was kind of pricey and there was no happy hour or house wine. This is my personal preference and I'm aware that it doesn't work for everyone. The wine tasting was nice but the charcuterie board was kind of disappointing. It had some like Hormel deli sliced ham along with the cheese and that was a little disappointing. Again personal preference. I might try another one sometime but probably won't frequent due to distance. But we had fun learning about all the wines.

Great menu, great customer service, reasonable prices. The craft beer was excellent. I recommend Golden Talons beer paired with loaded nachos

    His pizza

Artichoke dip tasted like it had been over-microwaved. Husbands pizza was mostly inedible. Waitress never smiled and had RBF. Beer was decent but Eerie Abbey has better selection. Probably won't go back.

Great use of the old French Hen space!

Great watering hole for anyone who appreciates atmosphere. Selection of beers, and stocked bar is good. Food is better than you think.

The wood-fired pizza from the food truck was delicious, and the gelato was amazing! We went during an off-peak time, which was great because the place wasn't busy. However, the ordering process is a bit disjointed; you have to order drinks inside at the bar and then step outside to the food truck to order food. While it would be much more convenient to place all your orders in a single spot, the quality of the items makes up for it. Additionally, we tried the frozen margaritas and found them incredibly refreshing and tasty. The only downside was that we couldn't taste the alcohol in them or feel any buzz. Overall, it's a wonderful, laid-back spot to enjoy a cold drink and a great pizza.

Nothing's Left was nearby so I popped in just after what happened to be a very popular annual event: dog photos with Santa. A few dogs (and even Santa himself) were still lingering, which made for a fun and festive vibe while I enjoyed a pint of their Oktoberfest marzen. It was thick, malty and delish - just what I was looking for on a chilly Tulsa evening. The friendly beertender (who I believe was also one of the owners) explained that they're well known for their "weird" beer flavors here. But being more of a purist myself, I was glad to see they had non-weird options as well. Definitely a great spot to add to the ol' cross-country brewery list - it had a nice, relaxing vibe and (of course) good beer.

Prices may seem a little bit high on the food, but I do think it's worth it based on how much you get. The drinks on the other hand... I'm not enough of a drinker to know if the prices are fair, but they do seem a little bit high to me. They're great, but they do see them on the higher end as far as price is concerned for a mixed drink in Tulsa. It's a fun atmosphere, and they are really easy to work with as far as if you want to host an event here. I've hosted a handful of events here at this point with different types of people in attendance, and everyone always seems to be happy. The staff truly are super easy to work with in that aspect.

It was seat yourself and order at the bar, and there were plenty clean open tables! We were thrilled. Our drinks were poured instantly and food didn't take long at all. I love that they have cocktails added which differs from their original brewery taproom. My brat was delicious. Super hot and fresh fries. But I was actually disappointed in the cheese curds. They were gritty texture and way over salted. That was the main thing everyone told me to try, but I'd definitely still go back.
