First, this type of coffee shop is typically located in small towns, and that's exactly how I felt walking into this coffee shop. I felt like I was in a small little town. The ambiance of this place is perfection, it's dim lite with plenty of seating and decorated just like a cabin. There are plenty of coffee options with so many interesting flavoring mixtures, as well as, plenty of food/pastry options. I got the Brown Bear latte and blueberry muffin. Both were delicious. Great cozy cabin feeling right here in Phoenix! I love coffee and want to try all coffee shops, so this was a treat for me. I ordered the Bailey's coffee half sweet which was a non-alcoholic version of real Bailey's flavor in coffee only better - so good! I also ordered the Elvis bagel which was a whole wheat bagel with peanut butter, sliced bananas, and topped with honey. Everything was delish! Cute place. Little claustrophobic when walking around and at register. Visit started a little stressful when employee charged up kind of aggressively towards me and my service dog and immediately asserted dogs were not allowed. He was vested and in place at my feet. When I indicated he is a service dog they quickly said ok and walked away. Good idea for establishments would review requirements for service animals and know what is to be expected. read more

Cabin Coffee really nailed the mountainous/cabin like vibe. The interior is warm and cozy with tons of games on the shelves. Being inside of the coffee shop makes me want to put on my sweatpants and ugg slippers. The coffee is just OK though. I ordered a cafe au lait, which was too creamy IMO. A little to cavey - dark and narrow - for my taste, but some may like that look and feel. It's cabiny, if you like that. As far as hot tea, they don't know how to make a tea latte. Something I can get at any Starbuck in the world without issue. I tried to explain it to them and they asked if I wanted espresso in the tea... sigh. At the end of the interaction, I got a single teabag in hot water with a little milk added - all for over $5. I wouldn't suggest specialty drinks as the staff is untrained in making drinks. They must not have any kind of training program to help the staff learn how to make drinks. That may be ok if they were a value option - lower quality staff, lower prices, but that is not the model. Essentially the same price as Starbucks with worse decor and relatively untrained staff. I wish I could recommend the independent coffee shop but this one doesn't measure up. It's a good place when Starbucks is closed, but if there is a Starbucks open nearby, I would suggest that. read more

I love Cabin Coffee. It's a bit far from my house, but this is a perfect spot to meet up a friend or a place to work/study. I tried their honey latte with soy. I could taste the honey without it being too sweet. I also tried their bagel with avocado and tomato. It was simple yet delicious. Their ultimate panini had bread that was perfectly toasted with pesto sauce. Very good choice for breakfast or lunch. As you can tell from the name, it is decorated like a cabin. Bit dark and cool inside with Christmas tree and a fireplace. You can also find a few moose heads on the wall. The service is excellent and the barista freely gave smiles away which is hard to come by these days. read more

It's located in the frys shopping center.. when you first walk in it takes a minute to adjust to how dark it is.. its cozy once you're there for five seconds .. the decor is cabin theme. Lots of people meeting and working .. They have free wi-fi I ordered the bacon, egg, cheese croissant sandwich (no cheese) and a large coffee au-lait with almond milk (.60c more for "other" milk options) for a reasonable $8.95. I thought the sandwich had too much egg and the egg was overdone .. the bacon and buttery croissant were delicious.. the coffee was ok not the best I've had and the splash of almond milk doesn't warrant a $.60 upcharge.. it needed more milk.. the coffee was pretty strong though. read more

Baristas kinda felt put out that I didn't know my order immediately. Come prepared. We got two of their specials which was a honey/Carmel latte and some raspberry coffee cake to share. My wife and I visited Cabin Coffee Cafe this morning and we absolutely loved the look and feel walking in. Once inside, the customer is transported someplace other than north Phoenix and it's great. The coffee was delicious, with the taste and cost very competitive to a big brand everyone knows. The food was another experience entirely. I ordered a burrito and was very disappointed. For $9 I was not impressed with the flavor or value. To make it less desirable, the ingreditents were layered in a way that as I ate, I had the eggs, then the bacon, ect. They should have been mixed for each bit to include everything. I might try eating here again as a first experience doesn't have to be the only experience. The drinks however, I plan on returning for in the future. read more

I love the ambiance of this little coffee shop in North Phoenix/Peoria. You pull up and park in a desert strip mall and walk into a quaint, cozy, rustic cabin. Dark walls and heavy wood furniture invite you to sit and relax while sipping your hot chocolate or brew. Walking back out into 110 degree heat makes you want to turn right back around and go back in. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing, but I struggled to finish my "Lumberjack" (coconut mocha). Something just tasted off about it. Maybe it was too much flavor or the milk was different but it didn't taste very great. read more

This cafe was cozy, the coffee was good, the decor was fun, the service was friendly, and I would be back if I were from around here. We stopped by to do some computer work and mentioned that we're passing through in our RV, and the lady I assumed was the owner stopped our table on her way out and asked us about our travels--bumping my mental 4 stars to a 5 because, she listened and cared enough to ask, you know? :) But seriously, my cabin latte was smooth, adequately caffeinated, and pleasantly warm. My boyfriend says his cold brew hit the spot too. I love the board game options too, and maybe before I leave (yep, I'm still here as I write this) I'll play a game or two. I love how neat and organized the games are too, up on a shelf and in playable condition--not torn up, in shambles, and strewn about the place like some cafes we've been to lately. The WiFi was strong and fast, the thick, heavy curtains blocked the bright light from outside, the yellow lamps gave the place a relaxing ambiance, the antique trinkets made me feel like I'm visiting somebody's grandma's home (this is a good thing; I love all grandmas), and the employees didn't seem like they hated their lives but were just here for the money. 5 Stars!
