The Boyer Cafe is decked out for the season and has some special holiday drinks, and of course their regular pastries are always delicious. My favorite is the almond croissant since other places are not usually as generous with the filling so there are plenty of bites without any filling, but Boyer's does not disappoint and they really know how to make a proper croissant dough as it is perfectly flaky and the layers are tender and buttery. It's nice to be able to sit outside too, even if Bell Rd makes it pretty noisy. I wish they would do away with the plastic straws and plastic cups though, and although there is a loyalty program you can't bring your own cup and get a discount like you can at the big chain coffee shop, and they'e do well to take a page from that book to help ensure our health and that of our planet. read more

Boyer Cafe is such a staple! As is their other locations. Every time I go, everything is always top tier and so delicious. Their pastry counter is always full, a ton of amazing food options, and absolutely delicious coffee and other fun drinks. My go to is always the maple brown sugar shaken espresso which is the perfect balance of sweetness and espresso. I also typically get their cinnamon rolls (such a steal for size and price!) and the cookie butter s'more's bar. I hope one day they open a location in Glendale or Phoenix cause they are just that dang good! However, I am more than happy to make the drive because their coffee hits the spot. The place is very cute inside and the coffee is excellent. The Irish cream cold brew and the French toast latte are my favorites. Lots of pastries to choose from and the bagel was huge. Prices also seem reasonable. Would definitely return. My only two negatives: the French macarons were very meh. They lacked any good flavor and even the texture wasn't quite right. Secondly is the wait. The place gets tons of business and often has a line out the door. Although the coffee is awesome, I don't know if I'd want to wait that long. read more

Boyer Cafe in Sun City is a true find. The exterior has classic Sun City charm, and the inside (as seen on the shelves and cups in the pictures) is clean and modern. The Vanilla Latte was delicious, rich and coffee-forward--not just a cup of hot sugar-milk. The quality of the espresso really shined through. Regarding the pastries, we found the macaroons to be very tasty, though a bit too cakey for our preference; we prefer a lighter, chewier meringue. The chocolate brownie absolutely delivered on texture and flavor. However, the true winner of the day was the Everything Breakfast Bagel Sandwich. Every element of it was perfectly executed. Super happy they could and the coffee was very good too. If you like the taste of coffee but some sweetness, order the coconut macaroon latte!! Another highlight is of course the sandwich. Second time trying this local cafe, which seems to be quite popular. There aren't a ton of great choices for local, fresh bakeries with the offerings of this cafe in this area so I have it 2 chances. Unfortunately this place is very average on almost all fronts. I went with a chocolate croissant, breakfast sandwich and coffee. The croissant was a bit bready, not that expected flaky light croissant, and the ratio of chocolate was off. The breakfast sandwich was good, I actually enjoyed the English muffin bread but in it's entirety, it wasn't anything special that I'd return for. Coffee tasted burnt, it definitely isn't a craft coffee spot, but I don't think it is trying to be either. Service was good, although it probably took 8-10 minutes for our coffee and food which seemed a bit long. Some nice window and outdoor seating and overall a nice atmosphere. read more

I like this location a little better because you can see the bakery case first before you order so I think that kind of cuts down on the decision-making for customers online. This quickly became one of my favorite spots on the West side. I have to visit the Boyer Bakery as well. I have tried a variety of iced lattes here, each one more delicious than the last. I can't pick a favorite. Just pick any random one and you'll be happy with it, I swear. The line is always pretty long when I'm here - but for good reason. And the staff is ALWAYS friendly. The pastries are also simply divine. I'm partial to the butter cake. My bae likes anything cinnamon so I've gotten him different things from here with cinnamon as well. Every single pasty is amazing. I seriously don't know how anyone can have any complaints about Boyer. First of all, they have the cutest corner shop out of any place in Sun City or Surprise! Boyer offers coffee/drinks along with pastries and a lunch/breakfast selection. It's one of the few places around the area thats not your typical corporate chain, which makes it so special. It's so hard to decide what sweet treat to get because they all look so delicious, you can't go wrong with whatever you pick. My go-to drink is an oat milk latte with cookie butter cold foam, and I always have to get the chicken salad croissant. If boyer isn't your cup of tea, the 3D-printed food at Starbucks might be more up your alley. read more

I checked this location out after visiting the bakery version in Surprise. Our pastries were great and coffee was decent. I will for sure head back to try again- but to be honest - I had a better version of the same coffee at the bakery (in Surprise). The staff was great! AWESOME cafe. I used to work nearby and decided to visit one day. This place had SO MANY choices for pastries, drinks, and sandwiches. The line was almost out the door and for good reason! I opted to try a turkey tartine (turkey, ricotta, pine nuts, and arugula on a slice of bread), a capuccino blondie, raspberry shortcake bar, and the cadbury egg latte they had on their Spring specials. That tartine was SO good. I wished I bought a couple more to-go just so I could try the other two kinds. Everything on it paired well together and whatever sauce they put on top was addicting. The pastries were nice and good texture. The cadbury latte was A++, the cold foam on top tasted just like a cadbury egg and the sweetness wasn't overpowering. Boyer cafe has some great coffee and even better pastries. The scones, cookies and blondie's are all excellent, but for me the favorite item on the menu is the ham and cheese croissant. I u dean's it doesn't sound like anything from a Michelin rated restaurant, but I find myself craving these if I go without for a few weeks. Friendly staff and great coffee and eats, my only complaint is that they are closed Sunday's. But it also makes me glad they value their employee La getting a day off as well. I got a salted maple cold foam cold brew and a cinnamon roll, it was not overly pricey! The people working here were super nice, they remembered regulars names and orders!
