Incredible hunting and fishing store. One of the best bow shops i have been in whether that be in MN or elsewhere.

Update (June 2026) There have been some improvements with the new ownership / Archery Country folks since my last review. Moving up to 3.5 stars. Though the parking lot bait machine and 'banking hours' are still there as tin-eared reminders to every customer who is squeezing in time on the water or in the woods that new management does not really care about your success. Come on guys, every McDonalds franchisee in America manages to have an opening crew. There's not really an excuse. That said, after a bumpy start the archery country guys seem to have finally started getting their act together in other ways. They have completed a minor reno, and seem to be coming around to the reality that in Minnesota exurbs their customers are multi-sport. Put another way: that firearms, league nights and fishing are useful cross sells and frequency drivers. That no one in this neck of the woods is 'just' an archer / bowhunter. And they've worked hard from what I can tell to retain key employees. Thank god. Bottom line: archery country management is not a replacement for, and will never beat, having a high-iq founder like Jeff, who cares deeply about bringing up the next generation of young people in his community as woodsmen, but it's a big improvement over the initial much misaligned takeover period. And heck they've even started to apply Cabin Fever's superior strategy (eg branding, merchandising depth, x-selling) to some of their other stores in the region. With the improved customer alignment and reduction in not-invented-here thinking, I think the future is looking brighter. read more

It's a convenient place to get bait and lures, however a lot of items are overpriced and as for choosing your minnow size, it's the luck of the draw. Definitely a few nice staff, but the manager has to change their hours. Service is okay, but their new hours are horrible and they don't know/care at all what their community wants enough to change their hours back. It's a shame the old owners sold it. I miss those times. read more

New ownership changed the hours and they don't seem to understand that pepole want to buy bait early in the morning to get out on the lake. Hopefully they will learn quick. read more

By far one of the best sporting goods stores in the greater Twin Cities market and probably one of the best bow shops in the country. There is not a single question the staff cannot answer or help with. This is a no pressure environment where they will take the time to teach you about equipment or subject matter if you want to learn. I am writing this on behalf of my husband since I don't hunt or fish or do anything sporty! He was looking for some fishing lures for an upcoming fishing trip and thought he'd stop in this shop by our house. It was actually much larger on the inside then it looks on the outside, they have a large selection of fishing lures, bait, tackle, poles, hunting supplies and an archery range (where my son and I played while my husband was shopping). Everyone there was very helpful and accommodating! Really cool store if you are into that sort of thing. Great service and selection! read more

This place has it all! Bait, fishing equipment, hunting equipment, bows, and guns! I won a Smith and Wesson SV9 threw a cancer fundraiser. This beauty was generously donated by the owner of Cabin Fever Jeff. I was helped by a young lady who was very helpful and prompt in her customer service. She informed me this place used to be only a bait shop and moved on to sell all the other sporting goods equipment. I was in and out of there in no time with my new pistol! I would recommend this place most your hunting and fishing needs. They even have free coffee! read more

Great place to do business. Very helpful, patient staff. I walked in not necessarily "needing" a new (to me) gun. But the price was right, and it is an excellent little 12 ga. The consignment section changes frequently. Its also a great place to converse with staff and other customers that have a passion for the outdoors. Absolutely fantastic! We go there a lot for summer fishing needs and my young son just recently started archery and wow, I can't say enough great things about Cabin Fever. We've had the pleasure to work with several of the staff there and A+ across the board. Garrett helped get my son setup and going with his new bow outfit and I would give more than 5 stars if possible. For someone just getting into archery I was a little hesitant as I didn't know what I was expected to know walking in the door but they spoke right to our level and walked us through everything with super transparent pricing right from the start. read more

Because of the area that Cabin Fever is in, I thought I would be going into the store that was overpriced and snooty. My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised by the amazing customer service and great selection that there's a difference. Awesome experience. Took my boys to use their new bows we bought them for Christmas. Cold outside and they've got a nice indoor area. What I found was a really cool environment to try a bunch of nice to high end Compound Bows and really learn a lot. Being an absolute novice I asked a lot of basic questions and the young lady that helps me was very patient knowledgable and friendly. She even encouraged me to come back the next day to fire some again before I made up my mind. I'll be back tomorrow to buy. Great service and atmosphere. read more

Great store! I stop by Cabin Fever every now and again when i'm visiting family and I have to say that the customer service and staff are very helpful and friendly. When i'm at Cabin Fever I mainly check out their gun selection. Although small, I've always been asked if I needed help and have found the staff to be accomodating and knowledgeable. read more
