Great for Shakopee sports clothing. Embroidery on items is cheap, I think?

I really like this store. I will admit that some of the prices seem a bit high - certainly more…read morethan the "bit of everything" craft stores - but I just don't buy those particular things there. That said, this store has SO MUCH MORE that DOES get me to open my wallet. The "big" stores offer a handful or two of kits, a few dozen skeins of DMC floss, maybe a few rolls of aida, a couple hoops and - if you're lucky - backing boards. Here, there are dozens of pre-printed canvasses, high end flosses, the cutest frames I've seen in any one store, every size of stretcher bars you would need, hoops, scroll frames, QSnap frames, and a few dozen finishing pieces I didn't even know existed! Finally, and I am not exaggerating here, but you will NOT find another store in the TC (maybe even MN) with a bigger selection of kits OR aida/other stitching fabrics. Oh, and the aida is available in more than white, ivory or black, and in counts beyond 14. All are fairly priced and great quality. Simply put, this place is like the Holy Land for stitchers.

While I found the new location to be incredible in terms of selection, stock, and space... the clerk was downright terrible. She not only treated my friend and me like we were a huge inconvenience on her day, but also talked down to me as though I didn't have a clue what I was doing. (Hint: I've been stitching since I was a child...) After I chose my fabrics, she pushed to hurry me to checkout, and actually sighed out loud when I told her we weren't finished shopping. We didn't stick around long after that. I decided to give the store a second chance last week, thinking that a different clerk (or even the same one on a different day) would have a better attitude. Not even close. Same sour attitude, same obvious inconvenience. From now on, I will be more than happy to give a national chain or an online shop my business.

I was looking online to see if they carry converse, as I was looking for a pair of regular black chucks. When I entered the store there were tons of staff all over which is nice to see these days. I browsed the men's section first since the shoes are pretty much the same, I couldn't find them at first so I went across the store over to the women's and couldn't find converse in women's either. I did notice the women's shoes wasn't as busy as the men's. I browsed around a bit (no one greeted me or anything in men's or women's). I did finally find them under a table display and they only had platforms for women's so I went back over to men's to take another look. I did find them and waited for a salesman to assist me. A man walked up (after me) and the shoe he wanted was next to stock room so he was helped right away. I waited and asked for help.. I was told by a rep that he had to go check on some other customers, I kept waiting and being ignored to the point I witnessed reps asking people still looking around if they needed help and finally someone came up to help me, I asked for a 7 (as I'm a 8 1/2, 9 in women's), he came back and told me the smallest size they have is an 8 which is too big. He asked who I was shopping for, I said myself and he asked me what size I wear and I said about a 9 in women's and he said "well this is men's" as if I was blind. Just didn't like the vibes all around.

Yeah, I am that cranky old man who like to shop alone especially when comes to shoes. * they always have something on sale. A sale is meaningless if there is nothing that fits you. Again, I always find what I need. I guess men in Shakopee doesn't really shop for shoes . Maybe they only wear cowboy boots... I need a pair of cowboy boots too. Unfortunately, they don't sell any here.

Trust me I get it, I my self work in retail and have had people walk in 5 minutes before "POSTED" closing time and we DO NOT tell them we are closing in 5 minutes. What we do is ask them what we can help them find. Especially when they are quickly walking around trying to find what they came in to get so as not to keep the employees too long past closing time. When I pointed out that they could get us out faster if they helped us find what we came in to get instead of standing at the register being mad that we were even there. What I got was major attitude and total disrespect from the young man, he proceeded to sass me and tell me I never asked for help and maybe if I did he would. At which point I admit I was 1st shocked and then I got mad. I will never shop at that store again. Not that far to go to Shakopee where the staff is helpful and well trained in customer service.
