Alex and Pitbull were great hosts and guides making the entire Whale Shark Encounters trip worth every penny. From the drive across the desert to the swim itself and finally the meal and drinks afterward. Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend it, I've already referred Alex to a friend that has been trying to swim with WS but has been unsuccessful other places. This trip is about 7 hours in total. They feed you breakfast as you drive to La Paz. Once there (2-hour drive) you get suited up and grab your gear. You'll then head over to the marina and hop on a boat. The ride out to find the sharks vary but it only took us about 15 minutes to find them. Then into the water. The boat is divided into two teams that alternate time in the water. Each trip in the water is about 5 minutes depending on how the shark acts. Total time at sea is about 3 hours. You'll then head back and drop off your gear. Lunch is served next door and it's delicious. Tequila and beer are also provided. From there it's back on the bus for the two hour drive back to Cabo where they drop you off at your hotel. So my husband and I went to Cabo San Lucas this past weekend. We have originally experience Vallarta adventures so when I saw a couple adventures I knew I was in for a good time. We chose to do the dolphin adventures and our trainer Maria was amazing. I was a little bit nervous of course but our dolphin and I call him Gordito was not only so kind to us but I felt completely comfortable be next to him. I got to swim with him on his belly and decide if I wanted to go underneath with him 15 feet below. At first I said no and as I saw everybody doing it I told myself this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. You came here to enjoy the adventures of Cabo San Lucas go for it. And let me tell you I'm so thankful I did. I rode 15 feet down to his world for 10 seconds. It is an experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. Ride the hump, but you better hold on with two hands! I went to Cabo on Carnival Cruises to Mexico in January. One of the choices of excursions were the Outback Camel Safari. One of my main concerns anytime I deal with any animals was that they are treated well. This place is a sanctuary that takes care of camels that need homes. They are sent there from all over. They talked a lot about the camels needs and how they take care of them. Once I met the camels in person I saw for myself that they looked well taken care of and happy. That made me happy! On top of knowing the camels are treated good I had a blast! Riding the Camels was so fun! My friend and I rode on Billy the camel. We rode on the beach and saw whales! It was such a treat to have such a wonderful experience. I felt safe and well taken care of. After our camel ride our guide took us on a nature walk giving us descriptions of the plants and the trees in the area. After that we enjoyed a buffet lunch of authentic Mexican cuisine. We had freshly made tortillas, mole, and so much more. Going up for seconds was not a problem! After lunch we had some fun tequila tasting. Our guide made the tequila tasting lots of fun! Good thing we rode camels first! This is an excellent choice if you are in Cabo visiting for the weekend or just there for the day for excursions. I thought it was a wonderful way to spend the day. Lastly I find that a lot of places try to overcharge you for pictures since they don't let you use your own camera. They did allow you to bring your camera on the camel ride but they did not allow you to pull out your cameras for taking pictures with the camel. However, I was happy that they only charged us $55 for all our pictures, and they took a lot of pictures. I think I had around 100 of me and my friend on our CD. What a steal! A lot of places charge $20 a picture! I most definitely would recommend this excursion for anybody who would like a fun adventure or enjoys animals as much as I do! I emailed them 07-13 but not received a response. I am extremely disappointed in my experience during this activity and the way our guide Mauricio handled our group. Unfortunately out of the 6 people in our party, 2 were extremely seasick. The crew was made aware of this several times and did help in trying to mitigate the sickness by offering water and napkins. However, this did not stop them from offering the sick people food and being very offended at them turning away the food. The crew also made snarky remarks about the seasick individuals to other guests which made them very uncomfortable and ashamed of something they could not control. Mauricio also continued to make snarky comments towards my group-when we declined drinks, when we didn't get up fast enough because he never even gave us instructions, and even making one of our sick guests leave the back chair because he claimed we were going to be immediately sailing, and then didn't sail for another hour. Lastly, being a group of six, my husband tipped them at the end, $40, for the entire group. Mauricio was not happy at this and told one of the couples " thanks for nothing" and telling another couple to go and get my husband because we needed to tip even more. I have been to Cabo several times and chose to book an activity with Cabo Adventures because I have had such a great experience in the past doing both the Dolphin and Camel activities. This was my guests first trip to Cabo where I chose the activity, which took up half of the 3 days we were here. I was embarrassed to say the least at our experience that came at my recommendation, with my guests giving it 1 star and wishing we would have done something else. I do know the seasick individuals did the best they could in the moment and did not want to inconvenience the other guests but I feel like this could have been handled better. Based on my previous activities with Cabo Adventures over the years this experience did not meet my expectations and I am deeply offended at the actions and remarks of the crew and the way they treated my guests. read more

We did the Aqua Trio Adventure. Our tour guide was Oscar, and he was so much fun to be around. We were in a group of about 10-12. We got to snorkel, paddleboard, and kayak. The boat ride going there from the dock was so fun, because they take you out to an area far away from the tourist spots, so we had the ocean all to ourselves. You get a also get a "paparazzi" to take pictures of you while you enjoy the excursion. I really enjoyed having one, because my boyfriend and I were able to focus on having fun knowing we had someone taking our photos. It's a little extra at the end to get them on a USB, but I think it's worth it. You get to experience your vacation a little more. Oscar was insightful and nice, and he constantly said "hello, mi familia! I hope we all have a wonderful time together." After we got back, we were treated to some chips and ceviche, WHICH WAS AMAZING. Man, Ceviche is so delicious is Mexico because it is so fresh. Found this adventure for my friend's bachelorette party. Everyone loved it! We were picked up from our hotel and dropped off at the Cabo Adventures Ranch. There, we were able to meet Jefferson (one of the camels), rode on our own camel right on the beach, had a little history/facts tour about the different wildlife and plants in Mexico, lunch, masa making, and tequila tasting! My husband and I did the sail and snorkel, it was great until the very end when the guide was very rude to me and was trying to blame me for "breaking" the boats toilet. The rule for the restroom was to not flush toilet paper, put it in the trash can. Of course not everyone followed the rule. It was the end of the excursion, we were getting closer to land, I went to make my last potty stop, and there it was, clogged unflushed toilet with paper. I still did my business, and when I left the guide followed me back to my seat, shouting at me. As I was trying to tell him that I did follow the rule and did what I was supposed to do, he kept cutting me off with "no you didn't, no you didn't", would not let me speak and would not listen. Finally, he says, "so what, is was already there when you went in?" I told him yes, that's what I was telling him the whole time. Then he asks "so who did it then?" I was pissed at this point, but tried to keep my cool. I told him "whoever went before me I suppose." This was a 4+ hour excursion with 15 other people on the boat including staff, like you really think I was the only one using the toilet? Cabo Adventures seems to be one of the largest activity company in Cabos with a legit location and facility. They have a cool location with coffee stand, souvenir store, and a whale experience pool. Lots of nice newer Mercedes transportation vans, nice drivers, and cool staff. Did the Camel Excursion it was something cool as an experience, but will not be doing it again as it wasn't that great in my opinion. We did the luxury day of sailing on Monday Jan 20 and had an incredible time. Captain Juan, Aaron and Millie did a great job to make us feel welcome. Everything is taken care of by the crew. As soon as we were settled on board, the mimosas started and it get better. We saw whales, did some great snorkeling and have some great pictures to remember this trip. We were picked up and returned to the Hard Rock Hotel by very courteous and safe drivers. The whole experience was excellent. IF YOU WANT TO TORCH $450, THEN BY ALL MEANS BOOK WITH CABO ADVENTURE TOURS. Please read other posts to the same affect ( I wish I had). I booked 2 tours for the end of June 2021 (Ziplining and a separate UTV trip). The cancellation policy is 48 hours. I had a conflict and cancelled my UTV trip 3.5 months prior. The took the cancellation and stated that it would be 8 weeks to repost the funds to the VISA. This was the first red flag. 2 months go by & I call them. "oh no problem sir, it will post in 2 weeks". 2 weeks go by, I call them again. "oh no problem sir, it's handled out of Puerto Vallarta, 1 week", 1 week, no money. I show up in Cabo and do the ziplining tour. I ask the manager if he can get it resolved. He calls a manager. "No problem sir 48 hours. 3 days later, no money. get a taxi and go to the main office in the marina. I talk to a manager. "no problem sir 48 hours". 3 days later not funds. I've used this company before and the tours are fun. Unfortunately, this is NOT accidental. This is apparently part of their business model. They charge your credit card in advance and promised to refund the money in the distant future so you can't dispute it with the credit card company. If you use this company and think they will honor their refund policy, well good luck. read more

We booked the camel adventure last minute. We made our reservations through Trip Advisor and had to call and confirm hotel pick up. Speaking with them on the phone was easy and they were very helpful. Our driver arrived ten minutes early in a nice air conditioned passenger van that seats 14. The ride to the ranch was 45 minutes and pleasant. The check in was well organized and facilities clean. I wish I had known that a Go Pro was allowed to be strapped to us while we rode. Cameras and cell phones are not allowed for safety reasons. We wore pants and closed toed shoes but others wore shorts and sandals. The seats on the camel are cushioned, not like a horse saddle so everyone was comfortable no matter what they wore. If someone had flip flops on they rode barefoot. The staff was very good to help each participant feel comfortable around the camels before riding. Drinking water is provided after the ride and during the short nature hike. The food was buffet style and amazing! Our particular guide was not really into the tortilla demonstration but more into the tequila tasting. We purchased the basic photo package for $64 which I felt was over priced for one photo and a CD. The van ride home was hot and a little uncomfortable sitting in the back row felt every bump. If you get car sick don't sit there! Over all we chose to book another adventure with this group due to the over all organization and friendliness of the staff. You can tell the staff love their jobs and care for the camels. Updated My review to include the Electric Bike Beach Adventure We booked this tour after being impressed with our experience with the camels. The electric bike tour is about 1.5 hours of bikes first along 2 miles of oceanfront beach and then the last thirty minutes in the sand dunes. There were lockers available for holding belongings and our guide, Jon, carried a back pack and was willing to take items with us on the ride. Having read previous reviews I was confident I could learn to master the bike but after Jon explained all of the functions I was not so sure-thankfully we started with a trial run to be sure we understood before heading to the beach. All gear is provided from helmets to gloves and pads. A water bottle holder and water bottle are on the bike. If you have your own bike seat gel cover you might want to bring it for padding or wear bike shower with padding. We survived without both. Don't be fooled by the word "Electric" you must still pedal the whole time- just less exertion. One person in our group who was older and less physically able had a hard time keeping up with the group. 2 of us fell on the ride hitting soft sand but were not injured. It does take focus to balance the bike and gage speeds when on wet or dry sand. I had a moment wear a local dog chased me near the waves and I wondered if I would hit it or swamp the bike to avoid it. Thankfully the owner called it back before I had to decide but not before I slowed down and Swerved. The views were spectacular. Although it's whale season and we rode in the morning we did not see whales-or sharks. Jon our guide was very attentive to every level of ability and knowledgeable about the area. He was a great instructor on margarita making and I am confident now I can make one from scratch. Over all this was our favorite of the two adventures, mainly due to the longer ride on the bikes and faster speeds than the camels. Once again Cabo Adventures was organized, on time for pick up and drop off, and helpful. The equipment and facilities well kept. They cancelled my trip and 22 days NO Refund! Don't Book with them! Booked Swim with the whale sharks for $474 and they charged my card in 1 minute, then cancelled my trip the next day with an email that went to spam and no phone call. We got up at 5:30 for a 5:50-6:10am pick up and when no one showed up by 6:30, I called and was told it was cancelled by email. With no new dates available within our stay they said they would refund my card. Then I get an email stating 10-15 business days and STILL WAITING 22 days later. Calls to their US 800 go to VM, So international call and agent says 'It's part of the process, you have to wait for finance department' but no way to contact finance dept. Scammers! We booked with Baja Rock Pirates for an unguided Side by side off road tour that same day and had a blast, and when they mistakenly overcharged me, I called and they posted the credit in 1 minute. read more

Review for Off-Road 4X4 UTV Adventure Do not waste your money on this!! This tour should be shut down for many public health reasons! 1. One of the guides told me to take off my face mask because "There is no COVID-19 in Mexico". Terrible!! 2. The water you drive through is full of cow feces!! There are cows roaming around leaving their feces everywhere including the water that splashed all over you. 3. The route is not scenic. It is very dusty and mainly cactus and dead vegetation. 4. The guides need to be re-trained on professionalism. 5. The tequila tasting was underwhelming and the guide in charge, rushed through it and was not engaging. We took a tour to Todos Santos, about 5 hr trip. There were about 12 people in our tour with two guides, in a mini van. The tour left for TS at about 9:00 after they picked up everyone in hotels. This tour was all about selling you things! First stop was a jewelry store in TS where you spent about an hour having the store owner tell you about how they cultivate pearls and then selling you jewelry. Next stop in TS was a Tequilla vendor who spent another hour selling you tequilla and getting people drunk. Next stop, a Blanket store, you got it, selling you blankets. The last stop, they take you to their "headquarters" to ride their camels and they sell you pictures. We didn't sit down to have lunch, which was part of the tour, until 2:30!! They don't tell you this when you start the tour. So, the objective is take you to vendors where they have relationships with to sell you stuff and get you drunk! Want a really short camel ride? This is your opportunity! They say 1/2 day, but 2.5 hours in a van and 15 minutes on a camel is your tour. There is a short nature walk to describe the cacti and lunch - the meat is overcooked and dried out. The tequila tasting is TWO tequilas, one Mesqual and one they billed as an aphrodisiac. The only two positive things were that it serves as a quasi-sanctuary for the elderly camels and the tour guides were very positive. We took the luxury sunset cruise excursion. We went on this excursion because we received a discount having watched a time share presentation. We had such a good time we would go again regardless of the time share stuff. Pro Tip: I'm not prone to sea sickness but I can't say the same for the rest of my group. In the grocery store or most drug stores they sell travel size Dramamine --put a tube of those in your pocket. Take as directed before going on the cruise if you get motion sickness. Getting there: They sent a shuttle to our hotel and drove us to the office location at the Marina. The first shuttle we were on had a broken a.c. so they switched us on the way. That was good because we dressed a little nice and was starting to feel like a grocery store pizza. Once there: The shuttle got us there early enough that we could walk around the Cabos Adventures building. In the building there is wifi, a small starbucks/cafe, and windows to look in at the dolphins. There were also clean bathrooms. This is also where we met our guide, Leo. The sail boat was about a 5-10 minute walk from the main building. On board: We met our Captain, I'm sorry his name slips me (sorry, a little sailing humor), and the photographer Diana. The boat was very clean, had a bathroom below deck, and people were sat across the front deck. Leo played music of the Ray Charles assortment. Most on board spoke English, my group spoke Spanish and the guides all spoke both languages fluently. The food: They provided mimosas basically immediately after boarding, but also offered a wide variety of drinks from soda and beer to wine and liquor --all included in the price. They provided plates that had cold cuts (salami/swiss), guacamole, Spanish tortilla, tomatoes and cheese with pesto, bread rolls, and a little apple desert. All were very good. Leo was moving around very quickly clearing plates and bringing drinks. The trip: You don't go out very far --you get to see the Arch, the Land's End Rock, Lover's Beach, Divorce Beach, etc. The sail boat motored out through the Sea of Cortez and once in the Pacific they put the sails up and watched the sunset. The whole time the photographer, Diana, was snapping away on a fancy SLR camera, much nicer than my Samsung snapped to the end of a selfie stick.. Back in Dock: They lead you to their "photo booth." The photo booth is really a small store where you review your pictures. Behind it in a larger building were bathrooms. Also, a lot of nice bushes out back in case you didn't take my pro tip above. The photos were really nice. We were told we could buy a thumb drive with our photos for $50, but later, since we had a group photo it would now be $80. I found this quite frustrating. Ultimately we bought a CD of our pictures for $65. We had a great trip, Leo, the Captain, and Diana were all super accommodating and working super hard to make sure we all had a great trip. The boat was very nice, the food and drinks were good and we had a great trip. Plus there was transportation back to the hotel. If you don't have or rent a car in Cabos taxis will be very expensive for you. Example ALL of the taxis charge $60 to get from the airport to Cabos. I guess antitrust/monopoly laws haven't made it to Cabos yet . .This is a huge plus for Cabos Adventures --having transportation to and from your hotel. read more

We booked the 4 hour sailing trip and it was amazing! Our bartender/entertainer was Victor and our captain was Marcos and they made our trip really amazing! We motored out to wear we snorkeled and swam around a bit all while having appetizers and lunch (which was delicious) Victor always made sure we had a drink in hand. On our way back we saw 2 whales and a seal. We also had a really amazing sail. And as an individual who has a sail boat I highly recommend this Cabo adventure! Hopefully you get Victor and Marcos as well! read more

Dolphins The experience: From start to finish just amazing! Our trainer was so nice and personable with each of us. The dolphins seemed happy and well taken care of. Clean environment. I'd definitely do this again The con: Pictures!! The only options they had were $300+. No option to buy single photos or smaller packages. Pictures were just as much as the experience. And I wasn't willing to spend that. Either big package or nothing. Sadly we walked out with no pictures. And for that reason is why I docked the stars. When it was over I asked the guide what are we doing now and he said "you're done u can explore the photo and gift shop." So we paid for an hour of what looking at their gift shop?!? BS! Also be aware u can't take any pics no phones allowed or cameras but u can buy there's for 3 for $120! Or all for $199 in their photo store. Woulda been 5 stars if our tour was actually 1 hour and 40 mins long or if that extra hour the guide gave us info about the dolphins or anything dolphins related since we paid for a hour and 40 min experience! Update: I just got the email to purchase my pics and the website chargers $119 for 8 pics!!! So the store tried ripping us off yet again they were telling us it's $120 for 3 pics in store!!! We booked a sunset tour that was canceled last minute "due to weather conditions". We paid ahead of time for round trip transportation and decided to pay extra for a taxi to take us earlier than scheduled to do some shopping. When we found out our tour was canceled we reported to the cabo adventures desk to figure out our options. We were told we could receive a refund or reschedule. This was an activity our whole group was looking forward to so we attempted to reschedule for the next morning and Karen told us we would have to pay an additional $40/ person since we were booking last minute. We tried to explain that we were only booking last minute because our original tour was canceled. She was unwilling to make the situation right. There are 100 different places you can choose on the marina for the same tour. Do yourself a favor and don't get screwed over by this company with terrible customer service. read more

THE WORST - DONT BOOK HERE!! I got sick from food or water here in MX and my husband called to see if we could change our booking to another day, but they refused. There were spots available for us to change to another day, but they said they couldn't change the reservation in their computer. Uh ok. The only way to change or cancel our reservation was with a drs note. We called our hotel concierge to see how much that would cost and it was basically the cost of the zip lining. So we are out $250 on top of me feeling like crap. Don't book here! Their refund or cancellation policy is a joke! read more

Booked camel ride with Cabo adventures thru hotel. Price was 109usd plus 20 "entrance fee" for adults and 79 plus the entrance fee for our 8 year old. Our tour guide Isha was great. What was NOT great and really soured the experience was them not allowing photography with the camels. Instead, they take pictures and minimum package is another 187 usd. So after spending 476 usd for four of us to ride camels in pairs for TWENTY minutes, we can't even take our own pictures to remember the experience. It also took well over the stated 45 minute transportation time to the camel rides. We were picked up at 8:05am and arrived at the Tierra sagrada just before 10am after picking up other guests at their hotels as well. Lunch was good. Tequila tasting was fun but I can not give more than one star after the outrageous costa of the photos. I recommend you check out the other camel ride options and be sure to ask about the hidden costs of photos. read more

I booked the Pacific Sunset Dinner online when they had a BOGO deal which was great. The tour starts with a drive to the marina from your hotel to meet up with everyone and then a small tour bus drives the group to this private ranch on the Pacific side. My mom was so concerned at first since there's a lot of dirt road you go through but once we arrived it was beautiful! It was very windy the day we went which was a little disappointing but we still had a great time and the food was amazing! The other trip we took was the Luxury Sailing which was such a great day! Same thing, they'll pick you up from the hotel and take you to the marina. The sailboat was very clean and the staff was great! We lucked out since everyone on the trip were really nice too. The food they served for lunch was delicious! Drinks were good too! Highly recommending doing a tour with these guys! read more

Dolphin adventure was absolutely amazing. The kids and adults had a great time. The dolphin trainer was amazing. Pictures and videos they took was gorgeous. But $400!!!! That's crazy! Finished and was waiting for shuttle to take us back. Comes every hour. The lady that's seemed to be in charge w walked talkie told us to sit at a designated spot to be picked Up at 1:00pm. At 1:05 I went up to her and said where is the ride and she said: next ride 2pm! We were the only one waiting and she said we weren't there and didn't pay attention to the driver!!! She called the manger and he was very rude. He said I either wait or take a taxi!!! Only 1 driver!!! Just watch out after they are done w u! read more

Green Team was amazing!! Kept us safe and hydrated. Had the best time zip lining with La Familia and atv cruising. At the end of our 3-4hr adventure we were able to sit and enjoy delicious quesadillas, arroz y frijoles. I highly recommend to all. read more

Wonderful, very professional and fun group of staff! We did the ATV rides this morning and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. They help you gear up, teach you the controls, and then they send you out with a full safety team that rides with you. You're out in what seems like the middle of nowhere with great views of little abandoned houses, cows, cacti, and rides over water for cool photos. You stop for a water break and a few photo ops, and then they take you back to base where they help clean you up and supply a delicious trio of sopes and drinks by the beach. Nice bathrooms on site and an air conditioned room to see and purchase photos. Everyone was super friendly and we had SO much fun!! read more
