(note, I am extremely scared of dentists due to improper care in the past) NOTE: I paid $10.000 for the horrible service that I am trying to be brief about on here. $5.000 for my permanent retainers. He came up with a plan that my crowns needed to be replaced. I had permanent retainers placed by my Orthodontist years ago to keep my lower front teeth in place, and I paid $5,000 for those. He took it upon himself to remove my permanent retainers, told me that my teeth would not move, I am 57, of course, they will move. He half extracted one of my lower front teeth in the process, very painful. I cannot bite into anything; my lifestyle/food habits have changed due to the half extraction/cannot bite into any foods. I kept going back and forth throughout that time while he tried to come up with a plan for my 4 front teeth. He said for me to come into his office on 6/2/2025, which I did to discuss the bridge he said was the only plan he had that could fix what he messed up. We have been on the phone multiple times trying to come up with a solution for the mess he created with my 4 lower front teeth. On 6/2/2025, he dismissed me and said I was not his patient anymore, and said he was sorry for the mess he created. He had planned the dismissal and did not want me in his office anymore. He took my 10.000 andmade my teeth worse. He said I am not to come into his office anymore. Got a call from his office manager on 6/5/2025, stating I will not get a refund/no work to be done to fix my teeth/not to call or come into the office again... I am at a loss as to what my next move is because Dr. Stephens is the person who created the mess with my teeth, took my permanent retainers out without my permission, took my money, and refused to fix my teeth or see me again due to me being 'unhappy,' he stated... Dr. Stephens has his eyes set on money/financial gains, not on helping patients. Steals your money and does not treat the patient/me and then discards his patients after taking their finances...

I went on Yelp and looked for another dentist who had good reviews and found True Smiles. What a difference it was! Dr. Cao is awesome. He's very friendly, as are his staff. On my initial visit, I asked him about my "cracked" crown, and he said there was nothing wrong with it. Dr. Cao has never recommended any work done on my teeth that I didn't need. I appreciate his honesty. At one point, his staff even told me I had a refund coming because they overcharged my credit card during a previous visit. What dental office does that? I would recommend True Smiles to anyone wanting a professional staff with exceptional service.

They took over a dozen X-rays and imaging because they couldn't get the angles correct and then charged me for all of them. They insisted I needed a deep clean and lied on the examination by saying my gums were worse than they actually were. They said I needed other procedures and My insurance came back and denied these claims as fraud. They gave me proof as to why they were fraudulent. I have never had this happen before. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and they warned me not to go back. I canceled my appointment , but they had talked me into ordering a partial. When It came in I went to pick it up, but they refused to give it to me, saying I need to get a medical release before I get it. The receptionist was so rude and condescending I couldn't believe it. I caught her in several lies before I left out of complete confusion that I was unable to get my property. So in recap, be careful when and if you go here. Watch out for them charging you for things you don't need, keeping you there for hours to force you to make a choice you do not want, bold face lying to you, and then disrespecting you if you stand up for yourself. I went for a exam and was told I need two root canals and one of my broken teeth fix. Ive been in pain for quite some time. They gave me a treatment plan that would cost me over $3800 for these procedures with insurance coverage . There were so available at this time for me to sign and schedule the treatment , they had availability right away for the dentist to do the work. The amount is alot so i checked the charging codes according to my insurance payment schedule and it did not matched. I called them and ask them to please review and double check the codes according to my insurance payment schedule, they did and the next day they told me that the price stands because of im seen a specialist. I then had my insurance contact them and confirm im being charged correctly. My insurance called back and advised me that the new amount for the treatment plan is around $1800 and they should have not charge me more. My insurance advised me that there were dental codes they should not charge me and amounts not matching with what they suppose to charge. Champions then send me the new treatment plan with the correct amount without apologizing for the $2000 difference they were going to over charge me, a blank email with the new treatment plan, how dishonest and unprofessional. Im sure they were piss of they didnt squeeze $200 out of me. Then i called Champions to get the new treatment plan done and the receptionist had to check with someone else , all the sudden she told me they are booked the whole month of July and august ... tell me thats not retaliation and childish?. Im sure that I have been scammed here before in my other treatments where they ask u to sign and schedule right away with out verifying the finances. Ive been a customer for a while , and at least i deserve some respect and consideration when reviewing the finances. The dentist and technicians are nice and great but who ever is in charge of the finances is dishonest, childish and deceptive. I went to another dentist and finally getting my teeth done. Check the dental codes!!!! review your finances before taking on big treatment plans. Over the years, the person thats is charge of financing will pressure me sooo much to get services i did not want such as laser and other therapies not covered by insurance. Dont get over charge please !!!!!!!!! they were dishonest with me and they didnt even care to say it was a mistake and then close their availability as soon as they were corrected . After receiving bad news from another dentist, I sought a second opinion from Dr. Saliba. Although he confirmed the previous diagnosis, he went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at ease with the treatment that I decided to proceed with him over my previous dentist. Recently, I underwent bone grafting, and Dr. Saliba and his team have been incredibly responsive and caring. Him and his team have reached out multiple times to check on my healing progress and help answer any questions I may have. I highly recommend Dr. Saliba to anyone who has had bad experiences with dentists. He and his team will put you at ease and provide exceptional care.
