As a customer of previous alterations, the alteration is unfinished until the customer satisfied. Unfortunately, the owner of this location does not understand customer service. The person who took my measurements is not even the seamstress. she had to call the owner who then explained to her, give the customer 20% off. They want to make money on me twice for a unfinished job. I will be sure to tell everyone not to come here, and avoid this business. EDIT to owners response. My mind was never changed on how the alterations were supposed to be made. And I was unaware that the person taking my measurements was not the person performing the work on the actual pants, which explains why there was a misunderstanding between this woman and the seamstress. If I had changed my mind and wanted something different , I would accept that and cover the cost. My alterations were from waist and length, not once was anything confirmed if the job was done correctly, as a paying customer should expect. In fact, I wasn't satisfied with any of the alterations for any of the three pairs of pants I had brought to your shop, this was just the most noticeable one. Communicating that the person taking measurements is not the person doing the alterations would be nice as well before spending the money.

When I raised the concern, instead of taking responsibility or offering a reasonable resolution, the company dismissed the damage entirely, hid behind "industry standards," and claimed the changes were within "normal tolerances," despite the fact that the garments were materially altered and unusable. What was especially frustrating is that a prior issue with a different garment had already occurred, which they acknowledged at the time by offering compensation as a "courtesy." Now, faced with a much larger and more obvious loss, they refused any accountability. I expected professionalism and care commensurate with handling expensive clothing. Total Dry Cleaners had the highest rating south of 595 so I decided to give them a try. The signage is a bit confusing, now as it says "Martinizing." I paused at the door, not sure whether to still drop off my dry cleaning because I did not know if all of the good reviews attached to Total mattered if the store changed. Someone inside saw my pause, and came out to say this is Total. Since they were so enthusiastic, and I was already there, I went ahead and dropped off my cleaning. They were exceptionally nice, accommodating, and quick with their return times. Their prices are also good. I happened to need to pick my items up on June 3rd, when the tropical storm was coming through. They are closed on Sunday, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get my suits for a business trip. Not to fear, even in the storm they came in and honored store hours saving my day. I would have understood if they were closed, but was extremely thankful they were open. Vica helped me and she is so nice and kind. Total is a bit east of where I live, but for reliable, honest, and friendly service I am happy to have found a place I can count on. They said they cannot change the Total reviews over to Martinizing (and that they are still Total). This is still a bit confusing, but they requested I put the review here and not in a new business. Upon entering and being greeted, I checked in on Yelp to find out they have a 30% off check-in offer for new customers. I presented it and they took it no qualms. In this, I also found out that they send you an e-mail when your order is done. Needless to say, that's exactly what happened. When I came to pick up my order, which was a dress, it was lovely. It was clean, packed well, and I was pleased. I did find the price a bit pricey compared to my old dry cleaner in Hialeah, but it is what it is. I ended up, too, speaking to a seamstress there about a top I had gotten fixed elsewhere. I told her I didn't know whether to further fix it or not. She had me try it on, quoted me a price, and then actually spoke to me about the pros and cons about whether or not it made sense to fix it further. Given the material, how often I plan to wear the top, and the price itself to fix it, the seamstress was honest and told me it didn't make sense to fix it. Nevertheless, she would if I wanted to. This went on for half an hour or so, and well, that level of attention and care, even though I didn't end up getting the top fixed, convinced me of my return. When I have something that actually is worth altering, I'll go to them. They actually care about their customers unlike the other place I went to. Not to mention that they did a great job on my dress. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is the price, but even then, I'm sure I may change my tune in the future if they continue to provide exemplary service.

Recently, I received new work pants that required alterations and hemming. When I first walked in, I was disappointed to see there was a new seamstress working there, but since I had such excellent customer service last time, I decided to give her a try. She measured my pants and I told her I wanted all five pants, to be fitted. She measured me and told me they would be ready by Saturday, which gave her a week to complete. On Friday, I received a text message confirming the pants were done. I picked up the pants and tried them on when I got home. The pants did not meet my expectations or match the description. I went back to the shop and explained the situation to the seamstress. She looked at me with an upset face and began to shake her head. She was arguing with me, suggesting that I should have provided a clearer explanation to what I wanted. I told her I did not mind paying a difference. I just wanted the pants completed correctly. She continued to shake her head and told me she wasn't sure if they were going to charge me. She told me to try the pants on again and began to measure. She asked, in a stern voice and with a look of displeasure, and asked if these measurements were better. I showed her a picture of how I wanted the pants to fit, emphasizing that I preferred them to be more fitted. She placed some pines on the pants and left the fitting room without a word. I walked out of the fitting room and walked toward the cashier. The lady in front was gathering my information when she came and started telling her the prices. She then started arguing with the cashier over a price disagreement because the cashier did not understand how she was trying to price the pants. She began to raise her voice at the cashier (because she appeared to be frustrated), but I intervened and clarified the pricing she was trying to explain. I paid for the pants to be fixed, and she told me they would be done by Saturday, which would be a week. Saturday came along, and I did not hear a word from anyone. Monday and Tuesday passed without any communication, so finally I called the business. I explained to the man who answered the phone that my items were past due, and I hadn't received any text or phone call from anyone. He stated they normally would not do that, but he would check if it was ready and hung up on me without any notification. I never received a call from anyone; when I tried to reach them again, I received no response. Finally, the business sent me a text two weeks after she promised to fix my pants, saying that my items were ready for pickup. Let me tell you that even after trying on all of my items, they were still messed up. Some of the hems from the pants are noticeably shorter than the others. It looked like some of the pants appeared to have remained unfixed. I paid for a service twice, but neither time did I receive the necessary results or fixes. Both times I was measured, I even brought my work boots in to be measured properly. I wouldn't mind paying for a good service; sometimes there are miscommunications, but no one should have to pay for or deal with someone with poor customer service and subpar work, especially with their price points. My work pants are messed up and the company I work for won't replace them, so I would have to come out of pocket to buy new pants (the work pants are not cheap). I have to walk around work for 10 hours a day with mismatched and unfixed pants. I am not one to leave reviews, but the seamstress was so rude and did such a poor job.
