A cute little shop in the Puerto Paraiso shopping center in Cabo. Todo Moda is mostly for girls -…read moreteenage and younger - and features an assortment of inexpensive jewelry and accessories geared to that age range. You know the stuff: lots of pink, lots of cute. None of it especially well made, but all of it priced accordingly. The space isn't very big, but it's got a lot and is visually appealing. The store clerk spoke only a little English, and unfortunately the credit card reader wasn't working, so I did end up having to fiddle with cash and currency conversions when checking out my daughter's purchase.

In two successive visits to Cabo Diane and I have now brought back to the States two playful clay creatures emerging from a broken egg that were both hand formed and hand painted by the artisan Nunez: one a frog, and the other a sea turtle. And I regularly wear a casual leather belt that I bought here. Prices are negotiable and in the end reasonable. But expect to pay at least 100 U.S. dollars for a unique, hand painted and hand signed figurine. Purchases may be packed for immediate carry out or shipment to the U.S. Fragile objects are very carefully protected and ingeniously wrapped before being packed inside a shoe box. In each instance our creative creatures survived both ship and airplane transit to arrive fully intact and ready for final rest inside a curio cabinet.

It's a special place to get a unique Mexican item. We planned to go back later to purchase a hat I wanted but, unfortunately, ended up not having enough time. I contacted the shop owner, Yumiko, once we were back in the US to see about having the hat shipped. She went above and beyond to get the hat to me! When the FedEx shipping charge was $$$, she personally went to the post office to research alternative ways to get the hat to me. She was awesome about sending me photos of the various hats the store has to ensure that I got the exact hat I wanted. The hat arrived today and it's even better than I remembered! Yumiko and Shima Shima are AWESOME! I can't wait to go back!
