Although Cactus Carlos is a very touristy spot, it's a great one stop shop. Plenty of "Arizona" and "Sedona" printed sweatshirts and tees, shot glasses, keychains, monogrammed souvies, games to play in the car, etc. I loved the faux lego sets of the landscape & animals was what got me. Little brick javelinas! Everything is comparable to the rest of Main but they also had a lot of kid items which were reasonably priced. The kid section is HUGE! Plush animals, toys, books, activity sets, craft kits, etc. For a shop that has something for everyone...Carlos is an easy 5 star family win. read more

I was at the north end of the Sedona downtown and wrapping up my visit for the evening. I noticed Cactus Carlos and found its name interesting so I walked into the store. It wasn't a very big store, but it has a good selection of different things. I noticed most of the stores pretty much sell the same things, but just a different variation of them. There are actually 2 Cactus Carlos in downtown Sedona. The other store is smaller and is on the south end of it. I tried looking for it in Yelp, but wasn't able to find it. Here is its address, 320 N State Rte 89A Suite A, Sedona, AZ 86336. I went to both stores just to see what they each carry differently. This review is for both stores. From the north end store, I got 2 coasters and 1 vintage cactus mug. From the south end store, I picked up 2 magnets and 1 shotglass. Just so happy with what I got. Can I give negative stars??? I'm traveling from Georgia where I walk in at 6:50 pm where the employee locked the door behind me (closing time of 7pm) and greeted me with "I close in 5 minutes". I know exactly what I want because I was shopping earlier. My daughter knocks on the door at 6:57 and the employee said, "if I let them in then they will be here after 7). I tell her that's my daughter and I am checking out now, but she doesn't want anything. She proceeds to pitch a fit and kick us out... IT'S STILL 6:58!!!! She said that we were rude because "she's just an employee and they close at 7!" MEANWHILE WE WERE TRYING TO CHECK OUT!!! SO MUCH FOR A TOURIST COMMUNITY. read more

My friend was looking for a t shirt for her boyfriend but wasn't sure what size. She had two shirts in her hand, comparing, and an employee came up and rudely asked what size shirt she was looking for, took the shirts out of my friends hands and said 'let me do it for you' in a super rude way. My wife and I visited Sedona a couple of months ago. I saw a few things I liked and bought them. I thought the price was kind of high after paying for them but I figured just like anywhere else it was just high prices because of tourists. A few days later after I was already back home I decided to look at the receipt to see what exactly I purchased. There was a usual item on it with the name "custom account" for $19.99. I knew it was some kind of mistake. I thought for sure I was going to have to eat the cost. But I called the place of business and they referred me to a lady I believe whose name is Valerie. She was able to straighten out the error and I received my money back. I would visit this place again but I would also recommend looking at your receipt no matter what business you purchase from. read more

I don't recommend shopping at Cactus Carlos. I bought a coffee cup and took it home used it once, washed it, and it had chips in the rim. I guess they can sell shoddy merchandise because most people aren't going to be around to bring it back. read more

Cute shop, not overpriced, nice staff. The shirts are junior & adult sized so make sure you try them on. That's the only downside, there's no 'fitting room', just a storage closet with a blanket for a door. Stop in though, it's got some cool stuff. Went to Sedona for the first time this weekend for a bachelorette's spa weekend prior to my friend's wedding. Lots of the shops in the touristy area of Sedona seem to sell the same overpriced junk with grouchy staff who have seen a few too many tourists, not this one. It's such a cute little mom & pop store that seems to love what they do! Decent prices, fun items, and the saleswoman Cheri was nice and knowledgeable about local activities and restaurants while she helped us pick out some nice souvenirs.
