    Mulberry Tree in 29 Palms!
    Adam O.

I had never been to Cactus Mart in the 10 years or so I've been around these parts. We went last season to get two desert willows and a mulberry, and I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. One of the gentlemen on shift was near the end of his shift but went ahead and showed us around, helped us pick out the trees we were looking for among the tremendous selection of climate-appropriate plants. I was shocked at the good deals they had going and their pricing was spectacular for the size of trees they offered. Prices were nearly double at the big corporate garden centers. After we picked them out, they scheduled us for delivery even though we were two towns away, and when he brought them, he was on time and unloaded them too. I let him know I was planting them myself, but he even gave me some tips on helping them survive. It's been a full season and the trees are still alive- in fact, the beautiful Mulberry has roared back to life from its dormancy. Really amazing plants, really amazing people.

Took my daughter and he's here to dig their own cactus it was so cute the little bushel they made for our dining room table staff was super friendly and super sweet friendly kitty cats's roaming there was a beautiful tortoise and an amazing Koi pond if you're visiting Morongo Valley definitely stopped by here

Our favorite place to stop by when telling friends and family about all the fun things to do in the desert! Cactus Mart is a staple that has been a favorite place to get inspired by native desert plants and even have fun potting your own cactus! They have great prices on a wide variety of cactus, flowers, trees, and so much more. Love how they transformed the nursery area into a whole experience with different places to walk around-- from the pond, to alien metal crafts, and a desert tortoise if you're lucky, there's so much nature and art to see here. Staff is always so friendly and helpful-- they always make sure to check in and are more than willing to give a helping hand with bigger plants that you might need to haul in your car. The gift shop has a great selection of local art and fun souvenirs to take with you on your desert adventures-- great spot for the family!

Awesome nursery and shop in the high desert. Recommend a stop on the way to Joshua Tree. Beautiful huge selection of succulents, garden decor and plants. Very fair pricing. Lovely to stroll and peruse the massive selection of goods, cool creations and sweet sights. Excellent customer service, very kind staff. Also a big selection of souvenirs and swag. Locally made honey, candles, candy and art - nicely curated collection. Not to mention the animals. Stop by to visit the shop cat Butch. And the Tennessee fainting goats out back are awesome creatures! Fun place to stop and visit in Yucca on your way to JT or the national park.

We had a fabulous time here! From reviews and the low cost we were encouraged to dig and build our own cacti plant. In total with all the materials, I would say the cost came out to 7ish dollars. I also chose to buy multiple mini cacti for my project and the pot cost was about $3-4. The cacti and plant gardens are definitely worth exploring. Even if you do not want to build your own cacti pot, there are succulents and other plants available to purchase. Many are semi rare and worth buying from this location since prices aren't expensive and their pot collection is worthy! Staff is friendly and they love their cat pets who will greet you as you walk around!

I would give this gem a thousand stars if I could. I make sure to make the stop anytime I'm going to Joshua Tree or Palm Springs. Big Cactus Girl here! I could spend hours just looking. The workers are always so helpful and the cutest cats on the property. Just stopped in on Wednesday and purchased 3 new ones for my garden. Will be in again soon!

If you're ever in the area in Morongo Valley and you're into succulents and cacti. Make sure you stop by Cactus-Mart. This place is fantastic. They carry many different types of rare and common succulents and cactus as well. The prices are super cheap too. You can also dig up your own little cacti. The services was fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area.

Curated this baby from the dig your own cactus. I brought my own rocks I found around the area to decorate the pot.

I came here to dig my own cacti and I had so much fun. They have a small selection of cacti for you to "dig up". The baby cacti are in small tiny pots. You pick a pot (different prices) and regime these small cacti with some tongs. The soil is $1. It cost me 79 cents per baby cactus. I had such a fun time. I brought some rocks I picked up along my trip to Joshua Tree and decorated my potted cacti to avoid paying $1-$2 per crystal. This is such a unique souvenir to bring back. My pot was $10. I highly recommend this shop to make your own cactus potted plant.

Not huge but large enough to make it worthwhile to visit. Between the metal artwork, stone n cement turtles in various sizes, bird feeders and the large variety of cactus and succulents...you get greeted by not only the human staff, but the chickens and felines. Now tell me, how can you beat that?

My partner wanted to check this spot out... so we checked it out. Parking: Plaza parking and street parking. Since it ain't THE place to be able to find spots. Feels: It's between two small towns and a neighborhood. The mart itself is pretty big. You have all these selections of plants - succulents, cactus, rocks, and souvenirs. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The servers were great. Friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. OVERALL: 4 Stars. I dig the spot. I'm not familiar with this general location but seemed like a popular spot. There were plenty of different plants for reasonable prices. Something worth checking out if you're in the area. Tips: * Keep your eyes and reaction sharp * Dig your own cactus right here!

Or, his Wednesday assistant happens to gift you half a dozen brown and green eggs from the hen who roams the yard. Then it begins to dawn what an honest-to-goodness treasure we have. That is if you get it. Apparently half the Yelp posters don't. Just like our very environs, Mike shouldn't bend to your needs. An issue cited by a couple reviewers--the scattershot hours Mike keeps; "the gate always closed"--is a nonstarter. That owes itself to a 60-something who's forever hustling; taking care of people. Hauling down to San Diego, or up to the Central Valley for increasingly harder-to-find healthy trees. Locals know: When immersing in a desert landscape, patience, being mindful, not to mention showing respect for surroundings allows the beauty to emerge. The payoff comes your way. Without doubt, the same can be said of Mike and Unique.

We used a gift certificate to pick out a few apple trees and a bunch of sages and other things, which all looked a bit rough around the edges because of the season. Nothing against the larger nurseries on the lake, but we loved the experience with Brian, and will be back to him in the Spring to plant more. Only open limited hours on weekends, but I believe he will take pre-coordinated appointments outside of his hours. Does deliveries/planting on weekdays.
