    Dirty behind bed

I need a zero stars. We checked in to get a few hours of sleep while passing through. When we checked in. We found out the room was across the street from the actual hotel, which would have been less of an inconvenience if the room had been clean and nice. The bathroom had blood on the counter. Went to use the one accessible plug behind the bed and there was crumb and lord knows what else, plus a full unsmoked cigarette. They gave us another room next door which was barely cleaner. Then when we forgot a pillow in the previous room. They were supposed to get the pillow for us. They said 30 mins. We waited an hour before going to sleep and they never knocked on our door. We asked again at check out and had to wait for someone to run across the street and grab it from the room.

Pretty solid food and very inexpensive! We had Buffalo wings, chili, and a cheese pizza last night and the food was great! Didn't hurt to win money on the UFC fights next door at the sports book either

Doing a road trip is challenging because many tines, you find yourself in the middle of no where, desperate for decent food , a couple hours of rest, and/ or a clean place to use the lil ol boys or girls room. Cactus Pete's was super spot with all the above! We were lucky to stumble at this casino. Five stars for making it mandatory to mask up before entering the casino building. With the Delta Variant spiking and two more additional variants detected... management looked out for best interest of all! Kudos to them! At their coffee shop, we liked acrylic dividers between tables to protect diners. All staff was masked up and gloved. Good. Coffee Shop 24/7 Food: 1) Buffalo wings - juicy but soggy. A bit on spicier side. 3 1/2 stars 2) Fries- hot, not greasy and real. 4 stars 3) tacos - asada steak bits were tender and flavorful. Nice . 4 stars 4) steak and shrimp special plate - cooked to medium rare, not dry with pink Middle ...the way I like it 4 stars Bathrooms 4 stars for cleanliness Casino Not too crowded , all gamblers and dealers observed covid rukes Lovely to see many areas with hand sanitizers and alcohol wipes . Someone upstairs is taking pandemic seriously and protecting people but running business right! Patronize them. They are doing what's right in all ways! I

I pulled into Cactus Pete's Casino Hotel late on the eve of Father's day looking for a room. But it was booked solid, as were all the hotels, motels, boarding houses, B&B's, and mangers in Twin Falls Idaho, and Jackpot Nevada. So I did what any survivor would do, tuck myself away in the back corner of a their parking lot, and set up home for a night. I had come prepared for such an eventuality, so it wasn't that drastic of an issue. I found Cactus Pete's parking lot to be clean and quiet. I wouldn't say that I slept like a baby, but I felt safe in my Subaru slumber. However, I kept having a dream of being harassed by a slot machine. I couldn't figure out who in the heck Franklin was. I felt that I was in a Twilight Zone episode. If there was any doubt that Nevada has reopened to their customers, let me dispel that thought. The casino was bustling with the sweet sound of laughter, mixed with the chiming of hundreds of one armed bandits ( come to think of it, most slots don't have arms anymore. So I guess "armless bandits"?.....don't let an "h" slip in front of that, because they still take your money, and they definitely aren't harmless). Everyone seemed to be having fun. It was music to this reviewers ears. Even the cocktail servers had smiles on their faces. Oh, and by the way, you can see people's faces. No masks. All in all, finding myself in a thorny situation, Cactus Pete's wasn't a bad place to get stuck in. Quick Tip: The bathrooms are very clean. A great place for an early morning splash and dash.

It was a very nice suite with a living/dining area, king-sized bed, two TVs, huge bathroom, very large balcony and it was decorated with a western theme. There were steps up from the elevator which made access somewhat difficult but I knew that going in and made that choice in order to have a suite rather than a regular room. The 11-page restaurant menu online turned out to be a two-page menu in reality. Their credit card machine wasn't working and they wouldn't let me charge the meal to our room so we had to pay cash (the cash machine in the hotel was also out of order). I had the daily special, chicken parmesan with spaghetti, which was good. My husband had a NY steak that was cooked perfectly but potato and vegetables were overcooked. Server was nice and efficient. We stayed here because we knew the man whose dad built the place but will probably make another choice next time.

Hotels.com does not show this place as dog friendly, but they do have dog friendly rooms in back of the casino. I think that they may be lenient on when you check out because they said to check back at about 3 or 5pm. Front desk is not open until noon, so check in is after that time frame. I had some time to kill because I miscalculated how long it was going to take me to get here. I think the GPS is confused going in and out of Mountain Time. Of course, Barton's is still in Mountain Time. I had to eat and my dog was with me, so they suggested going to Starbucks. They were so kind. I ordered a club sandwich and they gave Bonnie a pup cup and a cup of water. They loved my dog. They are very generous when it comes to food. I was expecting a typical Starbucks sandwich and I got a huge order with fries. The players club thing gave me $15 in free play. I used that up and then some at the slot machine. Their slots are a little bit tight. The check in process was a slight pain, but they were patient and resourceful. There was a mix up because I reserved a room at a closed hotel and I was moved to Barton's. The room was spacious and clean. If I were to recommend a dog friendly motel in Jackpot, NV, Barton's Club 93 is the place.

A car alarm was sounding repeatedly and it was mine. I tried to call the front desk and it went to voicemail. I had to go outside in my pajamas. Simone had been meddling with vehicles because a Ford pickup had flashers going. I rang the front desk bell and a half asleep young woman came out of the office.
