Recently visiting out of state from Napa California and was starting to feel a little homesick…read more Pleasant Valley Farm and Vineyard came highly recommended by my partners parents. We loaded up and headed out! The property is stunning and very picturesque, with plenty of seating for small & larger parties both inside and outside; including shaded patio seating. The staff was absolutely friendly and a delight. Helen and Janet were phenomenal. They gave us a history of the property, answered any questions we had about the process of the wine making, and checked in on us multiple times. Keeping the good vibes going! They have 12 drinks to try; 10 wines and two ciders, and sampling can be done various ways. You can purchase three tastings for $8, purchase by the glass or by the bottle. Additionally they have both a nonalcoholic and slushes with alcohol. Which was pretty sweet and refreshing on a hot day and already has us craving another one. Oh can't forget they also have some delectable ice cream bar flavors like strawberry lemon cake! I sampled all of the wines and two ciders. My favorite wines were the Itasca, Petite Peal, and Chambourcin. The Chambourcin reminds me of a flat version of the sparkling red they serve at Domaine Chandon, so I picked up a bottle to bring back home to a friend in California. I recommend paying for the charcuterie board as well as it pairs nicely with the wines. The cheeses, fruit and olives were all fresh and tasted great. Big thank you to Helen and Janet, for making our first trip up so special. Will be back for sure when in the area and will start recommending to all of our friends & family.

We arrived with a larger group of 9 from a conference and it was already fairly busy, but the bartender was a pro and explained the process quickly and took everyone's orders easily. By the time we waited in line to our purchase our items, the tastings were ready - it was fast! I tried the blueberry wine (perfectly persuasive copy!) and the two ciders. For me it was the ideal tasting experience. The salty nuts were just the right complement to the flavors of the wine and cider. The live music guitar player created a lovely ambiance. The views of the winery are gorgeous. Go. Enjoy. Highly recommend!

Eventually a few other couples showed up and we moved from inside to outside. There were several outdoor areas to choose from to sit. It was very quiet and peaceful out there. It is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. There are also several places to sit inside. There is a bar, and several tables. They have beer, wine, cider, sangria, and even a cider slushy, and Bloody Mary made out of wine. There is a double-sided menu with so many choices that there is definitely something for everyone. I chose to get a flight of 4 things - you can mix and match whatever you want and it was only $7. I chose wine, cider, and (Caramel Apple) Sangria! Everything that I had was absolutely delicious. The customer service was also great - very friendly person working that day and she let us have a couple tastes before deciding what we wanted to drink. I will definitely go back if I am in the area.

We had wonderful conversation with our server, sorry I can't remember her name and the manager (?). Nice ladies. I tried 2 white and 2 reds from the "dry" menu and hubby tried 4 reds, also from the dry menu. We ended up purchasing 1 white (The Big G) and 2 reds (Capricious and Red Cap-?). So now I'm looking forward to a steak at home with these reds! There's not much else in the area but this was a fun pit stop for our trip towards Muskegon. Would definitely stop by again if we're the in this area again Parking is ample (we visited in March and it was so not many visitors). Prices are good, 2 flights and 3 bottles was around $60. They do have charcuterie, cheese and crackers and one or two dips. We didn't get any food but just know that's available. If you're in the area or passing through this place is worth the visit.

Turns out she was the winemaker! Jenn was very knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming, she had us try a few things we didn't plan to try, based on our preferences, and we ended up loving them. As soon as we walked in, it was a large barn and had a very rustic feel. We were instantly greeted by a very friendly gentleman who told us all about the winery. We then went and sat done to order a flight of wine each. I had their Diamond '47, Ruby Red Sipper, Cherry and Peach wines. The first two were very nice dry red wines. They would go great with a meal. The last two were very good relaxing wines on a hot day. Overall, the wines were good. There is also a large outdoor area for seating and signs stated they had live music ever Friday with a $5 cover charge. I would like to go back and enjoy those nights. I enjoyed the stop at the winery. The staff was very friendly and the wine was good. They have a large variety available, including wine slushes. I will definitely stop back next time I am in town.
