Bunny, traveling as a substitute for a friend who could not attend

Reed City has the look and feel of a small town, but much to my surpriss, this brewery made you feel like you were in a big brewery town! They had many beers and a cooldisplay listing all the selections. The servers hustled and the food was good. The menu was definitely filled with typical bar food, but could use a few more appetizers.

My family and I had dinner here to try a new place and while the interior was super fun and entertaining, the food was just ok. First of all, My sister and I ordered sprites and they had one of those hoses that fills up the glasses and it clearly was out of syrup. Mine had like half of a sprite taste and my sisters was pure soda water. It was ok thought because it obviously wasn't their fault. But, one annoying thing is that the food took forever to come. Our table was in view of the kitchen and we could see the food sitting on the counter, ready and waiting, but our server didn't get it, even though he was just chilling at the bar, not doing anything. When we got our food, it tasted ok. Pretty good, but very obviously from frozen. The inside of the bar was quirky and had lots of games for families and stuff. Probably wouldn't come back but fun experience.

This was a fun brewery we stopped at on our way home from Traverse City. We are trying to get in all the breweries in the state. Hahah. It's amazing how many there are! This is a small place. I thought maybe it was new because the walls were a bit on the bare side. The service was very good, friendly. Beers were cold and delicious! We grabbed a couple tagabrews and had our hop passports stamped and were off to the next spot! I would recommend checking it out here!

On a visit from Chicago to see our friend living nearby, we stumbled upon Reed City Brewery and were thrilled at what we found! We've tried over 50 breweries in the city of Chicago, and this brewery ranks right up there with the best! The complexity and richness in the flavors blew our tastebuds wild and made me want to come back for more! I tried the flight and was thrilled with multiple beers. My two favorites in the flight were the Peanut Butter Porter and the Cream Stout. The Cream Stout was very rich, but not with an over powering sweetness. Instead, it had a complex and full porter feel to it that I absolutely loved! The Peanut Butter Porter was my favorite. Unlike most sweet beers, it did not leave a flat sugary aftertaste. Instead, the sweet richness hit my tastebuds up front and left a delightfully savory nutty/Smokey aftertaste! It takes a skilled brewer to craft this incredible flavor performance! Finally, the food was delicious and perfect for our drinking needs. We shared the pulled pork nachos and were absolutely delighted! The generous amount of cheese, flavorful pork, and creamy coleslaw all came together with the delicious BBQ sauce to create a wonderful bar snack! Plenty for 3 people! And the chips were made from flour tortillas making them gluten free for our friend! Yay! All this to say, if you are in the area near Reed City, you must make your way to Reed City Brewery to check out its quality craft products! You won't be disappointed!

We stopped at Reed City on our way to Ludington. This brewery is located in the small town of Reed City. The brewery was rather busy for a week day. We ended up finding a seat at the bar and spent some time talking with the beertender. She offered us a few tastings of their flagship beers. We ended up order a flight and a pint. For such a small brewery, they had some fantastic beers. I can't recall my favorite, but we were both pleasantly surprised. If you happen to be in the area, I highly suggest making a pit stop at Reed City. You will not be disappointed.

We had an enjoyable experience with good food and a great selection of drinks…read more We started with the Dilly Pizza Sticks - they're great and the perfect balance of cheese, pickle and sauce. The dill pickle ranch was packed with dill and had good flavor. The meals were the Pesto Chicken Salad, and not pictured the Reuben Turkey. The salad was a smaller portion than I expected, but priced appropriately at just $12 is a great deal. The Basil Pesto dressing is divine, so flavorful and the goat cheese was perfect. This salad will absolutely bring me back. The selection of craft beer, cider, mead, and wines was outstanding - we each opted for a flight and got to try 8 amazing selections. Also priced at just $12 for a flight - it was a great deal. The cherry wheat was the best cherry wheat I've ever tried, this brewery absolutely needs to begin distributing. I'd love to offer this selection at our bar. My one complaint (because I'm super picky and quite snobby about sauces) - the ranch needs to be homemade. With so many delicious dressing and sauce recipes on the menu it's a really big disappointment to have ranch that's not homemade. For me being a sauce snob - that's a deal breaker for me at any restaurant. Overall - our experience, service and vibe here was outstanding and we felt comfortable and right at home. Our server was fantastic, the ambiance inside is very chill and relaxing, and the food was great. I'll still give ya 5 stars because it was really great overall!

We ordered the Ancho Nachos with a side of beer cheese. The beer cheese was fantastic and honestly what made the nachos enjoyable. The melted cheese on the nachos themselves was pretty sparse, so having the beer cheese on the side was key. One thing I really liked was the banana peppers. They were a nice acidic surprise that added a pop of flavor in place of your traditional jalapeños. I think the dish would benefit from more tomatoes or a fresh salsa to brighten everything up. The biggest thing holding the nachos back was the chips. They were thick, grainy, old-style nacho chips that tasted a bit like cardboard. A better chip would elevate the entire dish! At $16 for a fairly modest bowl of nachos, I expected a more polished and elevated offering. The flavors are there, and the beer cheese is excellent, but the overall execution doesn't quite match the price point. Overall, I'd happily return for the cider, friendly service, and enjoyable atmosphere. A few small tweaks to the nachos could make them every bit as good as the rest of the experience.

All good, but we were most impressed with the brown--very malty with a nice hop tingle, more substantive than most brown ales I've had, though still less than 5% ABV. The server mentioned it was a new addition to their tap menu, and I hope they'll keep it. We both got a pint to go with lunch. Lunch took the form of the house salad: lettuce and typical salad fixings with bacon and chicken topping it off. Lots of bacon! Wouldn't have minded less, not that I didn't eat every bit. The chicken was tender and juicy, and all the greenery was fresh. Very nice midday meal. While I don't pass through BR very often, I'll make a point of returning here when I do.
