New patient. I had my first visit with Dr Sobral a few weeks ago. Just to establish myself. Brought up some concerns I had so he suggested some blood work. I also asked for an ENT referral due to a deviated septum I've been dealing with. A problem he looked at and acknowledged during our visit. He asked to schedule a follow up appointment to go over my blood work. I very specifically asked if that follow up call would cost me anything and he said no. Today, I was charged a $50 co-pay for my virtual follow up. A follow up that really was about my blood work. Something I've never been charged for by any other doctor before. It should be a quick call to let me know what the results are. When I brought up the ENT referral I asked for during our visit he seemed to not know anything about it. Like a dementia patient he continued to ask me the same questions he asked me during our last visit as if we never met. My bloodwork was fine, my health is overall in a good place but he wanted to set another visit for July? This office seems to be more interested in scheduling follow up visits for the sake of charging patients and their insurance. I would not recommend this office to anyone. I will be switching my Primary once I've established with an ENT. read more

I would give 0 's if it was an option. This office is incredibly difficult to get through to, I have waited almost 2hrs on the phone several times. If you leave a detailed voicemail, the office staff will most likely NEVER CALL YOU OR EMAIL YOU BACK. The office staff has proven themselves to be very incompetent. If you have a prescription that you need, told it would be sent in to your pharmacy...PREPARE TO HAVE TO CALL CADUCEUS AND BE PUT ON HOLD JUST FOR THEM TO ASK YOU OF YOU KNOW WHAT PRESCRIPTIONS YOU NEED!?! They have all your necessary information right in front of them. They CHOOSE to be so lazy! SPECIFICALLY, yesterday I called to confirm my bloodwork order had already been sent to the Labcorp office fax, mind you this order was issued by Dr. Brissey about a month ago...it should have been in the system already! I called and spoke to Destiny at CADUCEUS. I explained that I need the order faxed to this specific number. I was told it sent and will be there at Labcorp for my appointment. My appointment at Labcorp was today 05/29. I went to Labcorp and after waiting there for well over an hour for my appointment ,they stated they never received my order by fax. I was infuriated with the lack of professionalism Dr. Brissey's office showed. I called back today, spoke with Destiny and let her know the order was not received. She showed no sign of being understanding or any empathy! She simply stated it should have sent. I expressed to her I need her to send it again immediately, as I was at Labcorp and missing my appointment due to this lack of follow through ...she said it will be sent again and after being here at Labcorp for another 30 mins waiting, I checked with Labcorp and they stated still NEVER RECEIVED. AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

I love love love my doctor there, this review has nothing to do with that. It's about their horrendous phone line system. You have to expect to wait at least 30 -60 minutes EVERY SINGLE TIME just to call and make an appointment or try to reach anyone. And with that said, you don't even get connected with the office itself. It's just a central call center. There was one time where it was pouring rain and I was driving from LA and the roads were flooded so i was trying to reach my office to let them know I was going to be a little late to my appointment. At a normal doctors office you could just call and let them know. Nope not here- had to wait on hold for 30 minutes and by the time I was connected, I was pulling into the doctors office so it was pointless. It's just so beyond frustrating. To add to the poor calling experience, they don't play any music while you're on hold, it's just a loop of a girl repeating the same stuff over and over again. It's truly TORTURE. They also don't have a call back feature. I'm begging you guys to fix this. read more

Horrible office and practice for so many reasons. They just don't care about the patients! Their main objective is to bill your insurance for visits as often as possible. I have several prescriptions I've been on for years. Over a decade. They're very routine medications (several are things you can buy over the counter!) and I've never had trouble getting refills in the past with the other two practices I was with. Not the case here! Today I got denied for a basic over the counter cream! Are you kidding me?? And you can never get anyone on the phone. They will not learn how to spell my last name even though I correct them every time I visit. One of the doctors prescribed my husband a very serious bone medication after a simple X-ray without even calling to let us know what it was, why he prescribed it, or how to use it. Turns out the X-ray was poorly done and the diagnosis was wrong in the first place. Every other doctor we spoke with said they would never prescribe that drug simply based on an X-ray! They're irresponsible in some ways and then way too strict in others. They also take FOREVER to process referrals. We really need to move to a new practice. I always say this would be a terrible practice to be stuck with if you were ever seriously ill. read more

They don't answer the phone and say we should use the portal, but they don't answer emails on the portal for days. I spent over 30 minutes on hold and they didn't have the option for voice mail and they never answered. I had to hang up. The staff is very friendly in person, but they need to hire more staff that can answer the phone. read more

One of the worst dr office I have experienced. They make you wait on the phone for hours until someone answers. And even when you message them through the portal, they don't respond. I had to message them to tell them I am pregnant and that's when they respond. They booked me an appointment all the way in Yorba Linda. I live in Santa Ana. Why should I drive 40 mins for my appointment. I have also been waiting for a prescription that I asked for on 6/5/25 and I still haven't received it or gotten a response from the office as of yet 6/26/25. They need to do better. I have been going to Caduceus in Yorba Linda for 20 years and haven't ever had issues there but this office in Irvine has terribly rude front desk and scheduling staff. So inpatient, not friendly at all, and just outright rude which is completely the opposite of what you want to experience anywhere, esp at a dr office where you are seeking care. I felt like they were being condescending and demeaning towards me. This is completely unacceptable behavior from them and I am shocked to experience such attitude from their staff just while trying to politely reschedule an appt especially being such a longstanding patient of Caduceus for over 20 years. Doctors and nurses are great! Front office, not so much. It's really more about company communication practices. If you HATE ON HOLD MUSIC, then find another doctor. Calling, prepare for 20-50 minute on-hold. THEY DON'T STAFF PROPERLY! I don't understand this. They have 2 people answering but 4th in line takes 45 minutes? Do they take their life stories? I mean, come on! I thought it was a 1-off but now, on my 4th time calling, I see it's systemic. All EMAILs from them are from "no-reply" mailboxes. I can only get the portal reset by asking them. However they first forgot to send it. Then sent an expired one. Now what, another 45 minutes on-hold JUST TO GET A SIMPLE QUESTION ANSWERED? It's pulling teeth to get access to their portal. Their corporate management hires good doctors but seem to think people don't need to call their doctor, ever. read more

I wish I could give 9 stars. Absolute joke of a doctor's office. The front office is understaffed and full of airheads. I have no idea how sabrol hasn't had his license taken away yet. My medication was supposed to be filled on the 10th (I take these medications daily and rely on them heavily). I had a long in-depth conversation with sabrol regarding these prescriptions. He assured me many times that they would be ready on the 10th as I was leaving for a trip on the 12th and cannot go without these medications. It is now the 13th I have missed my trip and I'm still waiting for the medication's. the absolute most negligent doctors office I have ever dealt with. Run don't walk. This is the worse location of Caduceus since of all the locations. I used Caduces as my primary care MD 14 years. This location ruined it all, It is not the MD it's the staff. They're the most dysfunctional and illogical medical staff. I have ever encountered. I've started off about six years at the Laguna Beach clinic. It was wonderful, but then it got too busy. I transferred to Costa Mesa and saw Dr. Sobral who was a good doctor. The first issue I encountered was that I had to call them repeatedly because prescriptions they said they sent in were not at the pharmacy. This location is and has always been a time and energy sponge, not to mention just downright scary dysfunctional. I should have learned my lesson the 2nd time, when the office staff called me 45 minutes early for my appointment, I didn't answer so they cancelled me for the day. I suspect I was bypassed (I had the cheaper gov insurance). They said were "we were a little early, now the doctor has moved on to another patient". I was so annoyed, and also sick and suffering. After months of nonstop annoyances at the Costa Mesa office, needing to call two or three times to actually get my prescription to the pharmacy, I went back to Laguna Beach and found a great Dr., Connie and saw her for another six or seven years. For whatever reason recently she was resistant to changing my medication so I made an appointment back at the Costa Mesa office where I was able to get the medication I need, they had prescribed it there in the past. This is where I failed to consider the same incompetence staff might still be there 3-4 years later. I sent an email through the patient portal With a blank document attached and they refused to send it to one of my doctors stating that it was a violation of HIPAA to transfer the blank document via email... here is where my mind starts to crack. Blank documents most certainly are not HIPAA protected, people leave them out all over the offices in case somebody wants to grab one, fill it out and then return it. At this point when medical information is on it it is then HIPAA protected "Information" Dah... on the following day. I sent an email to Caduces Costa Mesa office requesting one of my medications "A" be sent to pharmacy "B". I gave them the quantity, the dose, the phone number and the address of the pharmacy.. I get an email the next day randomly they opted to send me medication "C" to pharmacy "D". At this point, I am totally lost, who are these people? Are they talking to me? Are we not all speaking the same language? I paid almost $100 and the doctor and I discussed medication A why are they sending medication "C" ??? Was there a conversation I missed? And for the grand finale **** they sent medication C with two refills, and also red flagged the medication so that I could not pick it up, "since I am out of state", despite the fact that they have been sending it out of state three years!! if you do nothing else in your life, spare yourself Caduces Costa Mesa. Obviously, I reached the point of no return. I don't think I have been this agitated in years. They take no responsibility for all of these freaky little behaviors. They cut me off from my Laguna Beach doctor. They said they would carry the responsibility of my care for a week or two while I look for a new doctor... I went onto my portal this morning and was locked out of it. These are the "medical professionals" we don't need. Don't give them your business. All of my prescriptions run out next week Caduces medical group left me with no prescriber. Any doctor I saw in Arizona was just getting me specialty referrals. They are inhumane, aren't very good with pain symptoms and are just nasty people all together. read more

This place is space age in terms of how high- tech and easy everything is through their amazing website / portal . I mean I can't believe how EASY they make all my health related matters. Dr. James Pearle is not a good doctor. Read the reviews, this is not a good office. Dr. Pearle does not care about your care. I pay over $100 for visits, and he didn't want to discuss my pulmonary visit for more than a minute. He walked in the room, and as I'm asking several questions regarding my health, he's walking backwards out the door, giving me a yes or no answer ( keep in mind, there was no one in the waiting room, I was the only person). I even called recently to get a refill on prescription and they said I had to pay $100 to get on a quick virtual call with Dr. Pearle to get refill, even though he said he would refill it, just needed to call. Go to hoag, they are the best! This place sucks. read more

I saw him yesterday two prescriptions supposed to be sent over the pharmacy gave him a request for the specific one with the dosage yesterday cvs still hasn't received it after 2 today! I called over there tell them about this what do they do they send over one prescription. I got to call the pharmacy to get this requested again. Previously his physicians assistants will argue about how referrals work they think they know and they don't I've been on this program for many years I know how referrals work and they're telling me the wrong thing and they want to argue and argue about it then the next physicians assistant sends the pharmacy request for three over the counter medications when we just had a conversation on how she has been able to prescribe those and have it paid by insurance so that whole entire visit was worthless and another physician assistant asking for unnecessary blood work before she'll refill things. Their phone system is horrific they have a girl sitting at the front never on the phone but a phone next to her they said they can't figure out how to fix their phones well how long does that take to do not long. and then they've got a scale over there that said that I gained 40 lb in 2 months it's a cheap thing you get from Walmart and you just step the wrong way on it different from last time and you've got totally different results all in the same visit! I told the PA Megan about this I guarantee you they still haven't fixed it she said she would she won't she's the one that sent over these over the counter requests to a pharmacy. With the pharmacy calling me in the evening and we're having this big old very confusing stressful conversation about they are supposed to be perscrptions that should not be happening at all. Calling the office to get this straightened out as a huge nightmare. You leave a voicemail and 3 hours later still no call back. Update next day 12:30 p.m. I left a voicemail this morning still no response CVS submitted another request no response I call the appointment line I tell Daisy exactly what's going on and I'm tired of waiting on hold for an hour asking if she has another way to contact the office she says no and I asked her again and several times and then she asks me okay what is it you're calling about again are you serious right now and then she admits she does have a way to contact the office. read more

I sent a detailed email about why I left after 30 years. I love Dr. Dinicola and his staff and all the other PAs that I saw over the years but I never went in for any major issues. I even gave them credit for issues for the Covid problem. I even went in and have them test me. Everything was great so three years later I come in with severe pain asking for help asking for tests to find out what's wrong And I get told I'll just wait two weeks and then blown off until I actually walked into the office and said what's going on with my care and I had to like fight and pull teeth just to get what I needed to have hip replacement surgery so I'm out. I want to congratulate Caduceus Medical Group for having Megan Henberger MPAS, PA-C on their team. She is amazing, knowledgeable and compassionate. She is definitely embracing her calling in the medical field. I need to to say she was on target diagnosing mom's condition and sending us immediately to the ER. She saved my mother's life. I had seen her detail observation and care with different patients without her knowing they were my family members. She was genuine each time. On a different occasion, she was on target with a severe pain my husband was going through on his knee, and again, she was on target. She is very detail, takes adequate time to see her patients and actively listens. She deserves kudos and I am very happy she is on Caduceus team. I will drive wherever she is at to be seen by her. I tried calling this office for an appointment and sat on hold for over an hour. Finally gave up and made an appointment via Zocdoc instead. Despite getting confirmations via email and text from both the doctor's office and Zocdoc, and filling out all paperwork, I never received a link for the appointment in my email as my confirmations said I would. I called the office at the time of the appointment and sat on hold for over an hour. Twice now, over an hour wait to speak to someone there. When someone finally answered, they seemed confused about my appointment but apologized and said they would call me back. I never heard back. This doctor may be great but you are only ever as good as your office staff. A missed appointment and an hour wait to speak to someone is poor business practice anywhere, but especially in healthcare. I also see several other similar complaints, with Tina F. responding and breaking patient confidentiality in her replies, which is concerning. Tina F., if you are reading this . . . time to go over your HIPAA rules. I'm a healthcare provider as well and as hard as it may be to hear critical reviews and not respond, it is absolutely not allowable to reply in any way that reveals patient details. read more

This review is very overdue but I just couldn't help but to write this review about Evi, Suzy, and Tiffany. I came into the doctors office because I was having trouble hearing for a couple of weeks. It got pretty bad to the point where somebody was honking behind me as I was driving and I couldn't hear them. Without having an appointment booked for that day I drove to Dr. sobral's offices and these three young ladies helped me and we are so dedicated to making sure they got every single bit of gross earwax that was in my ear so that I could hear again. Almost impossible to get through to anyone on the phone lines, waiting at least an hour each time. I have been trying to get my medication refilled for a week and a half but they have not been responsive to my pharmacy or my messages. I only get voicemails back that say "please schedule an appointment," which I can't do if I can't get through to them on the phone. The Irvine manager is not answering messages and apparently there are no direct phone lines to get to anyone except the front desk at one office location, where the waits are very long even if it's just "one person in front of you." Caduceus Medical Group is the worst clinic I have ever been to. In my experiences with this clinic: 1) I've had to wait on hold sometimes for over an hour to schedule an appointment 2) you have to request to see a Doctor or your automatically scheduled with a NP or PA, I go to a doctor's office to see a Doctor 3) on more than one occasion the PA's talked to me about my blood results without reviewing my medical history prior to seeing me so I had to remind them that the results of the lab work they were discussing with me and the changes they wanted me to make to my treatment plan were medically inaccurate and it scares me to think that If I had not questioned their recommendations how their recommendations would have negatively impacted my health; 4) Dr. Sabral in my opinion, who I saw on 2 occasions should not be practicing medicine - after talking with him and requesting guidance on how to more effectively manage some preexisting conditions - he proceeded to write me a prescription for a medicine I had requested and only after my asking additional questions regarding the safety of that medicine for a patient with my preexisting conditions did he ask "Google" right in front of me, whether or not the medication was recommended for someone with my preexisting conditions. Once "Google" informed him that the medicine should not be prescribed to me he then changed his course of action and proceeded to modify my entire dosage protocol of one of my medicines without being able to medically explain to me why the medicine I requested is not recommended for someone with my preexisting conditions. By this point I had lost all trust in him but he is the only doctor to see at the Irvine location 5) On my second visit with Dr Sabral, which was for a pre-surgery H&P, EKG & Labs he told me he would not clear me since my lab work demonstrated a number of elevated results. After further discussion and my informing, him again that I desperately needed the surgery in order to be able to function he asked that I have another lab drawn and told me if the results of the 2nd lab draw demonstrated one of the previous elevated results being lowered he would then approve of my having the surgery. My second lab draw met that requirement. I was then contacted by a back-office staff and told that he was denying my request for the 3 surgeries I so desperately needed and what made it even worse was that he personally refused to speak with me to explain why he would not approve the surgery after I met the criteria he requested in the second lab draw. This only served to significantly elevate my stress and further restrict my ability to function; This clinic suffers from dismal overall management and lack of follow-through which has negatively impacted my health and mental well-being with no regard for me, their patient. The additional stress and overall lack of clear and effective communication and the doctor's inability as a general practitioner to accurately diagnose and follow through with me in my opinion should be evaluated by the Medical Board. I am a patient of Dr. Sobral, but typically see a nurse practitioner in the office, and I have had nothing but great experiences with the physicians. However, I haven't been able to get a hold of the office when I need to and they've been redirecting all of their office calls to an outbound scheduler, so there's no way to get a hold of the office when needed. This is very frustrating and concerning when needing to ask the office a question or need medical advice. I may have to switch medical providers because of this. read more

When you need to get your meds refilled during a pandemic and your usual doctor hasn't been in his office for months, you need to start looking for other docs. They're pretty open to your needs and very helpful. I had to download a HIPAA app to video with them and then we had telehealth appointments. I even did a coronavirus antibody test with them and drive to laguna to get my finger pricked. I was negative but I was looking for answers. These people are happy to give you answers. read more

I am very disappointed with Dr. Tran because every time we see her, we feel she always in rush. Just like other reviewer said she didn't even spend more than 7 minutes. Also it always take sooooo long time to get parent screening results and all my blood test results. At first time we met Dr. Tran she only mentioned her Instagram but not her contact number, so when I have questions need to ask her, she never replied. Check in and checkout process is simple and efficient! All of the ladies were very welcoming and pleasant. I saw Christina the PA and she was very thorough and listened to my concerns. I left with an understanding of our plan going forward. Going to the Dr. isn't on my list of "fun" things to do but I'm grateful for the pleasant experience. I'm glad to have found my new PCP. *The only thing I didn't like was the extreme hold times when calling to try to schedule an initial appointment. Then there was a rude guy who answered (unpleasantly) was not helpful and hung up! I was so devastated especially since I had been on hold. However once I became an established patient I have access to the online portal and Im able to message any concern and I ALWAYS receive a response within 24hrs :) (most of the time sooner)! read more

I used to come here when I first got my insurance. Me and my boyfriend used to have the same Doctor, Doctor Carlos Sobral. And from my experience I feel like it wasn't good since he didn't seem as caring. I'll give an true example: I got a bloodwork stating that my thyroid was low, and he immediately wanted to give me meds for it even though I try to tell him if it was because if my birthcontrol since the thyroid is so connected with the hormones. He said no and pretty much told me that I was wrong. After that, I changed my doctor who care way more and did another blood test and she said that it was a false alarm and that it is normal to have waves, but it should stabilize. It's crazy to me how these doctors truly don't care about their patients and they don't care how their stuborness and ignorance can affect someone else's life. How I would've blindly believed him and started taking hormone pills (?) when I didn't need them and take them for the rest of my life. Also, my boyfriend was concerned about his toe since he had a little bit of fungus, and all he had to said is that he can't get rid of it, which was funny, because we checked other reviews of him, and a lady was going throught he same thing, just this time he was so nice to her and gave her a cream for it right away. Definitely don't reccomend at all. Nice place, and no waiting time... but I prefer driving further and waiting longer, if my doctor truly cares about me. read more
