When I was in my 20's I knew I was in trouble. My health was deteriorating and not one doctor would listen to me. They would send me home with Monistat and tell me I had a YI. My pain in my abdomen was so bad and my fatigue grew worse weekly that staying employeed was difficult. It was not until a co-worker at my job stepped in to help me as she also had similar problems with HMO's and knew exactly what to do and say. Anyways, I finally was able to get an appointment with Dr. Kathleen Gallaher and within that same visit she was able to confirm I indeed was in trouble and got me into the hospital in 2 days for a biopsy and lo and behold I HAD OVARIAN CANCER!!!! I cannot express how much I truly love Dr. Gallaher and Dr. Warner. The office staff is the best there is and makes you feel like family. A few years ago I went in to pick up an order for bloodwork. I explained I was coughing and just super tired. The office staff insisted I see the doctor that day and I am glad I did. Dr. Warner identified a nodule on my thyroid and sent me for an ultrasound. After the ultrasound and bloodwork, Dr. G confirmed her suspicions that I had cancer. She seemed genuinely concerned and hugged me, sending me off to a specialist. It turns out it was cancer and my life has been saved. I love my office visits. These doctors take the time to really listen. I know I am getting the finest care anywhere at this office!!! read more

I won't be going back to Dr. Warner. I had my first appointment with her a couple months ago for a routine check up since i haven't been to a general doctor in a long time. She was pretty straight foward which was nice but made me feel very judged when i told her i drink alcohol once a week. She definitely insinuated that i had a drinking problem because i have a few drinks and not just one (i have 2 toddlers, 15 months apart.... try and not have a few drinks a week, seriously). So already feeling uncomfortable, i reluctantly called today about cysts i have on my head. They are infected and starting to come through the skin and instead of seeing me, they simply said "sounds like an infection, we'll call in antibiotics". Dr. Gallaher is a wonderful doctor, and what's more, she seems like a good person as well. I've been wrapped up in a workmans' comp case for the last six months, and while there wasn't much she could do legally in regard to my case, she has always tried her best to be on my side both professionally and personally. Her office seems to have a widely female patient base, but to all the men reading this, don't let that sway you from coming to see her! She is a smart, funny, knowledgeable, no-nonsense kind of physician that always puts your best interests first regardless of your gender or whatever else. The thing I like most about Dr. Gallaher is how direct she is. If she thinks you could lose some weight, she tells you. If she thinks you shouldn't drink so much, she tells you. If you're afraid of strong women who tell it like it is, go see someone else. Dr. Gallaher is great! And to the other reviewer here yammering on about 'parental rights', they are just about as much a myth as men's rights. Vaccinate your children! read more

Dr. Gallaher has been my primary care doctor for over 15 years. She is thorough, compassionate, friendly, concerned about your overall health, has an excellent ear/shoulder to cry on, listens to your concerns, does not rush me, comforts me when I get down on myself, and does not order unnecessary tests! I love this lady! I also appreciate the knowledge of my file that Dr. Warner has shown when I have been seen by her. She is right there with Dr. Gallaher in the compassion, listening, and concerned about your health arena. She was the first to diagnose me with a major lung issue, aspergilliosis, that eluded many other doctors. She has treated me for many bouts of pneumonia, asthma/breathing exacerbations, aspergilliosis, and whatever else I needed medical care for. The staff (Karen, Liz, Charlotte, Patricia, Samantha, Kristen, and anyone I missed) is professional, friendly, caring, compassionate and always, always helpful! Some issues could be taken care of after a chat with one of the nurses regarding my ailments. If I could, I would stay with her forever! But alas and alack, my monetary issues require me to leave her care but I hope to return as soon as I am able to! Thank you Dr. Gallaher! read more

I think that Dr. Gallaher is caring. However, when I first started going to see her my thyroid was not functioning at all. I was put on the lowest dosage of Synthroid ( I was previously using Naturethroid) and I gained a lot of weight in 10 months. When I shared my struggles about losing weight I was consistently told to eat above ground vegetables. I absolutely agree that eating above ground vegetables is important but I needed more help than just that kind of advice. I needed my medication to be adjusted and my voice to be heard. I also came in when I had mono. I was misdiagnosed by Dr. Warner and was given antibiotics, I eventually had to go to the hospital because I was in so much pain. Eventually my husband & I switched doctors. I was really bummed b/c Dr. Gallaher was nice and one of her nurses was always kind and comforting. read more

I have only gone to her once. We recently changed to Cigna Ins. But she is not the first Dr. I have gone to. Waiting time was reasonably short, the staff were friendly and courteous. I saw Dr. Gallaher quickly. She listened to all my questions and answered them fully. She seems to be an excellent Dr., and her staff is professional and effiecient. Keep the 3rd world diseases out of the waiting room. I am an ER physician and I work in a County ER. ALL my patients from 3rd world counties vaccinate their kids. WHY? Because they have actually seen the diseases, and know people who have died from them. (First visit) I came to talk about my issues and I ended up doing most of the talking. She's a very nice Doctor, don't get me wrong but usually when you go to the doctors with a question, you're not the one who does most of the talking and finding out your own answers. She's still working out of paper charts which is kind of alarming to me because I thought all providers are suppose to be working from EMR now. Her staff called me a few days ago for to inform me of results that I brought in for their records dated 2 years ago. I honestly thought I found a good doctor but I guess I'll have to continue my search. (2 weeks later) Their office keeps calling me on results that I brought in for them to keep for their records. It's really frustrating especially when they're leaving voicemails saying, "We've been calling you" and making it sound urgent and when you call back, you find out they're trying to tell you something you already know. read more

my review is based on the unprofessionalism of the office. keep in mind this is not a review of the doctor who may be an excellend doctor but i wouldnt know because i never got to meet her. This is a review of the office and how it is run. i called initially and was told the doctor is away on vacation and i set my appt up a couple weeks later when she was back in. they told me my appt was at 10:30 but come in at 10am to fill out paperwork, no problem did that. after i filled out my paperwork paid my office copay i was told there is a 20 min wait, they are running behind. ok fine. 11 am comes along (mind you i got there at 10am cuz they asked me to) and i ask is there still a wait, the response was "unfortunately yes". i told the receptionist i would like to cancel the appointment and have my copay refunded. I asked why the office policy is letting me know to come early due to time management but they were not kin on calling patients when they were running behind. the receptionist said "sometimes in doctors office there are emergencies that cause us to run late" ummmm no i work in a dental office (we get at least 3 er a day) my office would never allow a patient to come in and wait an hour and then ask them to wait longer. we respect peoples time as they should respect ours. maybe my standards are high because at work the motto is"treat others the way you want to be treated". dont tell me to come 30 min early when your running late give me a chance to reschd and not waste an hour + of my time. this is why im glad i work for a professional healthcare provider because we would never let this happen read more

Dr. Gallagher is the rudest doctor I've ever had...after making me wait for 3 1/2 hour to be seen she was rude, talked down to me and wouldn't answer my question. When needing help getting an authorization for a medication they refused to help in a timely manner and even told my insurance company after putting us on hold for 15 min that we are now closed and will not help you til next week. They made it so hard for me to get a life saving medication just because they didn't feel it was important. If you care about yourself or your health DO NOT SEE THESE PPL! read more

The final straw for me...the reason I left them... was when I went to urgent care after being treated by Dr. Warner, and the urgent care physician told me that Dr. Warner was "an awful doctor". There are so many choices out there, and I did not realize how much I was putting up with needlessly. There were red flags before this urgent care instance. Here is a little hindsight: (1) When I needed an appointment, more likely than not I was told to go to "urgent care" or "emergency" even though my schedule is flexible; (2) It was difficult to communicate with them. In my experience, they did not provide guidance, and when I asked questions, they were defensive. After seeing the recent negative reviews about this office on-line, I suspect this is why the office vibe seems angry and tension-filled. I felt like it was them against the patients. (3) I felt they wasted my time and scared me needlessly on more than one occasion. For instance, (a) When I saw Dr. Gallaher (the other doctor in this office), she was always looking for what was not there... She mentioned "cancer"... "no one gets cancer on my watch", I think is how she phrased it. Cancer was not a concern in my instance. One time after lifting her stethoscope off my chest in a routine exam, she muttered under her breath something about my heart..."What? My heart? What is wrong with my heart?" She shrugged..."people live with it". I still do not know what she said about a heart defect. No other doctor has every mentioned this to me before or since (I am middle-aged). She mentioned "COPD" although I was not symptomatic, nor did I have tests substantiating this concern, nor was I being treated for COPD. She mentioned thyroid conditions and how she had diagnosed someone in her office with a thyroid condition and no other doctor had found it. I was then tested, and I did not have a thyroid condition. One time, she mentioned I was "40 lbs overweight". I am 5 foot 4 inches tall, weighed approximately 132 at the time, and had a baby. She provided no reasoning or guidance, or weight control suggestions. Sometimes, Dr. Gallaher just seemed to be mean. Other times, it seemed like if she would have listened to my symptoms, and why I was there, she may have been able to help me. (b) I had a 3:00 in the afternoon appointment. They did not tell me I was not suppose to eat. Once I was there, they told me since I had eaten, the results would not be accurate. I took off work. I had blood drawn. For what? I would have followed instructions if given any. I now have a competent, sensitive, and conscientious physician and I feel like I am receiving medical "care" for the first time in a long time. I look back at all the red flags at Dr. Warner and Gallaher's office...like the dirty cloth chairs in the waiting room where the sick are contained with the healthy ...yeah, I should have made this change a long time ago...it was just a click on the insurance website. Neither ever rushes you, they are happy to discuss any issues you might have or questions, and are very responsive to your particular needs. So disappointed in the poor communication. I called in this afternoon about my flu symptoms. I was told by the receptionist that a prescription would be called into my pharmacy and that never happened. I called their emergency line and was hung up on by the person who answered the phone without any recommendation of what to do in the meantime (should I go to urgent care, er?)what is the point of having an emergency line if they are just going to hang up on you? I was so shocked. I haven't had terrible experiences during my appointments, though there is an average wait time of an hour from your scheduled appointment. Just so disappointed that when I need care, I'm ignored and hung up on. I wouldn't think that calling in a prescription would be that hard. read more

This review is NOT about Dr. Gallaher herself, but about her office since I didn't even get to make an appointment. I called in to confirm Dr. Gallaher is accepting new patients and to make an appointment. The male who answered the phone referred to the doctor as a "he" and rudely told me he thinks he (the doctor) was, and that he wasn't sure because it was his first day. He proceeded to tell me to call back in another hour or two because they were busy. I was looking forward to at least meeting Dr. Gallaher and seeing if she and I would be a good fit, but because of this experience, I had moved onto another doctor. The staff who answers the phone and services the front desk is the face of the office, so if the office is okay with projecting this image, I don't need to spend any more time. read more
