CADY is set up very professional and it is very organized in its set up. There are multiple "room areas" with specific themes. the dressing rooms are very ample and their are snacks and water if needed. Even though you can't take photos of what the photographers are doing there is a senior wall and a nice area in the dressing room where parents are allowed to take selfies with their graduate. CADY studios makes you feel warm and welcome and they answered all my questions by email. Brandon was an excellent and professional photographer with lots of great ideas and we love all the pics we've seen so far. He was very sweet and professional. First things first, we did not choose CADY @ Raleigh, NC. That was decided by the county school district. Students that wanted their pictures on the yearbook were required to have them taken by CADY. CADY went to every length to charge exorbitant amounts of money for every aspects of their service. We made one appointment for both seniors and graduation photos. The photographers looked like college-aged kids. While I have no issues with their eye for framing and composition, it does not justify the price gouging. They tried to get our son's phone number so that they could send him an exclusive portfolio set. The ulterior objective is for him to pick what he likes but not inform him of the extra $$$ that we would pay later. Fortunately, wife put a stop to that by giving her phone number instead. The $58.99 session charge in Sep 2026 was just for taking pictures. That included $24.98 for "Artists Touch" to "reduce minor blemishes" and "smooth skin". Why such a steep price? That's like ordering a $30 entree at a restaurant and paying an additional $30 to clean the ingredients before preparation. Sadly, the price gouging didn't stop there. The session charge is separate from the packages CADY offered. To make things interesting, each package has a "as low as" price at the top and a "packages starting at" price at the bottom. Very deceptive. For example, a Simple Package "as low as" $29 is just the starting price. In a restaurant, that's just the price of the pasta itself and you don't mind eating only pasta. Adding ingredients like veggies and proteins are extra charges. However, a restaurant has the decency to show the total price of an entree at the start. CADY does not show the total until the end. We started at Basic Package ($89.99): one pose, 2 print sheets, and no specifics regarding the photo sizes. For this package, CADY offered $14.99 for "Artists Touch", the very same "Artists Touch" that we already paid $24.98 for in the session charge. Are they double-charging for a single "Artists Touch", or for "Artists Touch" done twice? Another price gouging strategy. When we added additional prints for wallet and 4" x 6" sizes, the package was automatically upgraded to Senior Special Package at a whooping $219.99 - there was no lower-tier package for fewer wallet-sized photos; we didn't need 32 of them. We tried to revert the package level back to Basic but the CADY website would not allowed it. The only recourse was to contact the CADY staff to reset the order, which they did. Yet another price-gouging strategy: customers can move from low to high in package tier and not vice versa. CADY mailed us the portfolio - two sets of five poses, all of them 4" x 5" - for us to look at and choose the pose for order. It was a fair assumption that the Basic Package's prints would be 4" x 5". Or we could accept CADY's offer of $149.99 to keep the portfolio. After much discussion, we kept the portfolio and forwent the package. We realized we would be paying more for the photos we wanted, and were frankly tired of the price gouging. In Dec 2026, we were charged $182.30 for the portfolio, for a sub-total of just under $250 after adding the session charge. Had we gone with Basic Package, the sub-total would be over $300... for two 4" x 5" prints! But the story wasn't over. The final act was the graduation photos. As unpleasant as CADY's business practice is, we didn't want to stick to our guns at our son's expense. So on Apr 2026, we went with Basic Package ($89.99) and opted for Artist Touch. The total came to $128.68. If you want the graduation photos on magnets, CADY offers 2 starting at $184.99. As if customers haven't shell out enough money. Profits before customers. 5-star pricing for 1-star product and service. This is why CADY can afford to operate 29 locations all over the country... price gouging to proliferate more price gouging. Considering the number high schools in the county and the hundreds of graduating seniors per school, why do that? But now you know this is who and what CADY is all about. read more

Prices are exhorbitant and I imagine not very affordable for many. Not thrilled that choosing more than 1 pose costs you. And speaking of poses, are you kidding? Very Disappointed with Cady: To start with, we had to pay a mandatory $21 sitting fee for the required Senior tuxedo top photo for our son to be in the yearbook. We did not order any outfit changes or a portfolio of photos. When I went to order a single 8x10 sheet, the total for ONE print, tax and shipping, is $69.69. A Senior photo is a milestone memory. For Cady to be charging close to $70 for one print is ridiculous and unforgiveable. Shame on you Cady for upcharging customers based on emotions. read more

Photos are way over priced and my nephew who didn't even wanna go ended up walking away with nothin bcuz he didnt want to shell out over 200 dollars for a few prints. heres the secret though. if you dont wanna pay a ton of money, dont register online call em' directly and ask for somethin called a 'yearbook only' session. read more

I am typically a very reasonable consumer, but my experience with Cady Studios has been appalling. Parents in the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) need to be warned: this company uses 'bait-and-switch' tactics to pressure families into spending hundreds of dollars. We were told we had to pay for a $200+ 'session fee' just to get our daughter's photo in the senior yearbook. This package supposedly included 4 digital images. After spending over 5 hours in a crowded studio being shuffled around, we were told we had to pay an additional $50 deposit just to view the photos. When we finally saw them, we learned those '4 free digital images' are only accessible if you purchase an additional, expensive photo package. To make matters worse, the 'professional' photographer was a recent high school graduate, and the quality of the photos was average at best. When I challenged the manager on their ambiguous contract language, I was met with zero flexibility. I will never spend another dime here. I am stunned that WCPSS continues to associate with a company that has such shady business practices. read more

My son worked with Spencer, who I would recommend be requested. He is genuine and fun to work with when getting senior photos. He was helpful with ideas and open to receiving ideas from both me and my son. I have to say the Cady Studio was nice, but extremely busy for senior photos. The best part of Cady is Spencer hands down. The five stars is all about Spencer! Thank you, Spencer, for making the 2-hour session more enjoyable. As far as Cady in concerned, I would have to say that some of their pricing is overinflated. You may want to get a better grasp on what all families have budgets for and make better choices what should be included in packages. If you truly are making a business in relation to photographing children, know that all families do not have the same income, but have the same desire to have beautiful memories, photographs, of their child or children. We received our granddaughters senior pictures, and the quality is horrible. I have been a professional photographer for over 40 years. My work has appeared in every national magazine and newspaper you can think of. I can only assume the "photographers" at this place use their iPhones to take the photos. And before anybody asks why I didn't take the photos myself, I live on the other side of the country and am currently caring for an elderly family member. But you can bet your ass that I will be taking proper professional photos when I go for her graduation and replacing these horrible images with the ones I take. Prepaying for a digital download of all photos is an absolute rip-off. There were only 15 photos included, many of the poses were silly for a senior session, so only about 3 that were good. The cap and gown pictures are somehow not included in the package (which was over 300 dollars for the download option!!). Apparently, you have to pay for cap and gown photos separately in the spring. I had heard of bad experiences with CADY from others, and now I understand why. We had great experiences with my older son when the school used Lifetouch, with close to 40 pictures taken (no silly chalkboard poses), including the cap and gown poses. Disappointed. read more

Today August 23 2025 I attended a "Presentation" with CADY Studios in Raleigh NC. It was recommended by our High School as the photographer for Senior Pictures this year. We paid by Credit card a $129 Photo session. At my daughters photo session they insisted on a "DEPOSIT" for the presentation scheduled for today. That was an additional $50. After we previewed the basic slide show from CADY we were presented with a photo option pamphlet. The prices started at $179 for a ONE Image Photo which included a 6-5x7 and 4-4x5 pictures. They offered a free digital picture for attending the presentation, which we did not receive. So, $358 for 1 single image. The price jumps by $110 for each of the next 3 levels. If you want to get a USB you can pay $899-1099 additional for that. Others complain about legal representation, which I accept as being relevant. Bait & Switch is a legal term. However, my problem is primarily that these prices are outrageous and far exceed my ability to pay. I no more could afford to spend $179 non-refundable charge than I could the print charge for one single image at $179 more. The whole time I was trying give my daughter a life memory of maybe a few pictures from a studio the school referred us for the yearbook. I walked away $179 poorer with nothing to show for it, and will still have to buy her senior portrait in the Spring. I'm furious that I received nothing for my money. Literally nothing, even if you suggest they worked so hard for 2 hours pushing a button on a camera and saying cheese. I drove 2 hours back and forth to their studio to be humiliated with some basic photos and a price for product that was not equitable. read more

My photographer was Candice and she was fantastic, made me very comfortable, was creative in many different ways, and she was just very genuine and was just as invested about the pictures as I was. However the prices are crazyyyy. Thousands of dollars for some photos seem crazy to me but shout out Candice! read more

yes, this service was pretty neat as they help make teenagers feel like a rockstar. It was a little wonky at first I don't think they were staffed enough and the wait time for different sets took a while. That was my only complaint. But a shout out to Tyrell, who jumped in to help when he saw the weight and made my son feel very comfortable and more himself during the shoot. The Artist's Touch $19 touch up is a scam. They do not touch up. If you want touch up once you get proofs, you must pay again either $19.99 for 1 photo or $39 for all. This company should stick to yearbook photos and cap and gown photos. All other photos were not well done. Outdoor lighting and setting was awful, they should not offer this. read more

Overall it was great. I got my senior pictures done here. My photographer's name was Candice and she was so sweet and guided me through the process of the photo shoot. She was creative with the different poses she got me to do and allowed for my own expression if I had any ideas. The only downside was that when we went to talk to the guy about prices and the follow-up session: I could tell he was under the influence. I don't Recommend Cady Studios in Raleigh to anyone. After the unsympathetic manager and the laziness of the photographer, this has been a terrible experience. We purchased the "Most Popular" package for the outdoor photo session. During the photo session one of the photographers said he didn't recommend the outdoor photos because the sun was out and my daughter would squint while taking the photos. That was the only reason we selected this package. Due to his laziness, lack of care, or whatever the reason, no outside photos were taken. We would have selected the "Legacy" package which costs less for the session fee and photo packages if we would have known we wouldn't have outside pictures taken. During the photo selection on 10/21, I expressed my frustration with the manager and asked if the Legacy digital package could be purchased since we didn't have any outside pictures taken. I was told no, because we should have asked to change before the session started. We were told halfway through the session that outside photos would not be happening. No discount was offered for the session fee cost difference. The "Legacy" digital package for $390 was not an option but we could buy the other digital package for $890 or other packages were available. We were given the option to return in 2 weeks to take the outside photos at no charge. That would be ok if my daughter didn't have to get her hair, makeup done again and travel 50 minutes. The managers lack of sympathy or caring tells you what you need to know about Cady. It's not cheap so spend your money with a reputable company. I gave it 2 stars because some of the staff was very helpful and nice. read more

My issue is more with the selection process on line to purchase the photos. I selected my student for senior yrbook photos and also purchased a 8 x 10 for $90 . I requested modifications but what I received in the mail did not show the modifications. I was told that I would have to select it for both. However these options are not easy displayed when purchasing. No help from this company. read more

My daughter went in to do her senior photos today and I can tell you that we really enjoyed our session. Everyone was really nice and helpful the main photographer that we worked with Taylor, was especially a delight to work with!! She gave suggestions for poses to my daughter and was the sweetest person ever!! If your child is graduating from a school in the area I would highly suggest going to Cady for awesome photos and just a good experience to say the least. Some of the staff were absolutely wonderful! We were warmly welcomed at the front desk and had two excellent photographers - Candice and Liv. The 3rd photographer we had was pretty frustrating. He seemed annoyed and rushed, trying to just take one shot and move us along, despite the studio being nearly empty. When I asked for another shot he was annoyed. Then he submitted our photos before we could select the ones we wanted. When I asked him about it he told us we were not allowed to select the photos for submission because the requirements are super strict, "like the military." If that was truly the case, we should have been told up front that we would not be allowed to select our own images. read more
