Chat, I genuinely only came here to say that i did. With so much history how could i not visit this iconic place! Not expecting much usually leads me to the best experiences! From the moment I stood in line on a rainy day on which i happened to forget my umbrella, the staff quickly brought out an umbrella for me! From that very moment i knew i did right by coming here! Thoughtfulness really does take service to the next level. The charm is sprinkled throughout the whole cafe, it really is like right out of a movie. Once seated the waiter was kind and informative, he understood the vibe. A croissant and hot chocolate the dream. The croissant was perfect and the hot chocolate was oh so rich and creamy! Since we had just came from another restaurant and only popped in quickly there was no space for a meal. However from what i saw other people ordering i did notice the food looked amazing!
Cafe de Flore is such an iconic and staple place in Paris. While I didn't think the food was the best I had there, the vibes of the restaurant were so cute and fun. It's all very picturesque and such a cool vibe. Service is great and quick. You can always expect it to be busy, especially in the morning, but everything comes out seamlessly and perfect. It's also located in the perfect area for exploring!
Busy morning, but they got us inside fast and the place looked incredible,, really cozy and bright. I got a cup of the Flore dark chocolat and a croissant. The chocolate was ridiculously good, thick, smooth, and rich without being too sweet. The croissant was buttery and soft inside, a little flaky mess on the outside (in a good way). Honestly, the chocolate was so good that I was halfway through the cup wishing I'd ordered another one. It's the kind of drink that makes you slow down even when you're in a rush.
Vibe- oh so French! This is one of the oldest cafes in Paris - lots of people watching; seated shoulder to shoulder if you have an outside table - oh so fun! Food - best thing was the potato chips! I ordered appertivos only and enjoyed those potato chips. Service - I was catching up on my French and I found the server to be polite and attentive- great experience in Cafe de Flore

Supersingly the best thing on their menu was their chips. Yes chips, so good I had to ask for seconds. The server was friendly and kept checking on our table while managing busy tables. Many places are touristy, but the food and services were great.
Does it live to its hype? Yes, especially if you're looking to sip some hot chocolate at the corner of a Parisian side walk of St, Germain in an art deco chic cafe! And that's exactly what my friend and I did. We picked an outside table to people watch. Our food and drinks were good, but ultimately you're here for the perfect postcard of a cafe in Paris vibe. Overall I recommend. They don't take reservations, so expect to queue up in a line. It goes by fast, and you can simply just take in the ambiance while you wait.

This Saint-Germain-des-Pres bistro is one of Paris' oldest coffeehouses (dating back to the 1880s), and it has boasted such famous visitors as Jean-Paul Sartre and Pablo Picasso. Nowadays, de Flore remains a popular people-watching spot for classic bistro fare. You can't miss the countless patrons sitting underneath de Flore's expansive green-on-cream awning. Cardinal and hunter-green woven chairs are pressed up against brass-trimmed tables. Warm globe lights hang on the worn marble walls. The ceiling-high sunroom windows open entirely, so even indoor tables feel connected to the city streets. My group of three arrived for lunch, and we fortunately secured a corner table within the sunroom with only minimal wait. Service was funny, patient, and professional without ever feeling stuffy. However, the eats were hit or miss. My Chocolat Spécial Flore Viennois was watery and somewhat liquory, amounting to one of my least favorite hot chocolates in Paris. That being said, I loved that the slightly sweet whipped cream was served on the side. The Salade Verte/Tomates was unpretentious, with just greens and two sliced tomatoes, dressed lightly and served with balsamic and olive oil. The Soupe à l'oignon gratinee was surprisingly cheesy, but only moderately flavorful. Lastly, my Le Jockey sandwich (de Flores' rendition of a croque madame) was slightly soggy in the middle, but sported crispy edges and an excellently rich flavor. Prices are expectedly high -- expect to spend 10 euros on beverages and 20-25 euros on standard dishes. However, the ambiance is priceless. With such stellar service to boot, I would wholeheartedly recommend de Flore over its nearby rival Les Deux Magots.
This has to be one of the most famous cafés in Paris, it's been featured in countless movies and stories! I just had to visit while I was in the city, and it was absolutely worth it. It's always super busy (clearly I wasn't the only one with the same idea), so I waited about half an hour in line. But once seated, I had the best onion soup of my life! I also tried the foie gras, which came in a much larger portion than expected, definitely something to share with at least three people. The service was handsome...wait...I mean friendly.
I came with my mom on a Sunday morning and we only waited around 10 minutes for a table. Very cute vibes although of course like anywhere in Paris the seating is pretty packed. We each got a cappuccino as well as the jockey and beef tartare salad to split. Honestly was a little disappointed as I feel I've had better croque madames in the US. The beef tartare salad was a massive portion. Overall I think I agree this may be a bit of a tourist trap haha but I don't regret coming.

We had a wonderful breakfast experience here. The service was outstanding. We let our server know that we were on a tight schedule and needed to leave quickly, and he made sure everything moved efficiently without making us feel rushed. I really enjoyed the eggs and salmon, along with a great cup of coffee. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience was exactly what we were hoping for. Caviar and fixings were lovely. Salad nicois was lovely Tart Tatin wasn't worth it... dry... not much going on there...but the ice cream that came with it was yum! Place was PACKED. Had to move the entire table just so we could get out to use the bathroom without crawling over neighboring guests, however seems to be the nature of these restaurants around here. read more

Café de Flor is an iconic café in Paris. The coffee was perfect, and the croquet sandwich was delicious! Fun to sit and people watch if you're visiting Paris. They also sell the tea cups and other cute items inside the restaurant that you cannot purchase in the USA. read more

The waiter was very kind on a cold early morning. The atmosphere was welcoming and iconic. I only had a croissant and coffee but both were excellent and beautifully presented. My experience was so much better here than at Les Deux Margots. read more

Our group of 6 visited this historical Parisian Cafe that was recommended by many. We all had different dishes and were satisfied with our selection. I was surprised by the speedy service. I would visit this place again if I lived there. Unfortunately there are so many good restaurants in Paris that whenever I visit again I will have to try out the others. read more
We knew this was an extremely popular spot, but was it loud, even outside. The cacophony did not make us want to linger. The food was very good, but the waiter was a bit rude and talked down to us at times. We were nothing but polite and felt this was unnecessary and unwelcoming. There are moments when I am tempted to remind wait staff that I m actually paying them, but in a place like that it wouldn't have mattered since they will always be in demand. Too bad though, because if they had actually tried harder, it might have been worth repeating, despite the noise. We also found that their prices were generally higher because they could charge that. We checked it off our list and went elsewhere after that. read more
Omg! The hot chocolate here was sooooooo good. Luckily for us, there was no line when we entered. The ambience was a bit dated. We got a table outside. The server was very swift and helped us choose the best things they had to offer. We got the hot chocolate, croissants, and a couple more baked goods. The hot chocolate was sooooooo decadent. The server also showed us how to pour the chocolate carefully so that we don't burn our hands. Loved mixing in the whipped cream in the hot chocolate, tasted really really really good. read more
Cute bistro in the 5th. They were open late and my husband and I stopped by for a nightcap. They were able to fit us in without a reservation. Great service and quintessential French Bistro experience. The snacks and drinks we ordered were also very good and they had an amazing selection. read more

Found this place from Instagram, and it was pretty touristy and extremely expensive. The coffee was okay, but not worth 15 euros. I also ordered the opera cake which was lovely, but again extremely expensive. My boyfriend got the creme brulee and the dark hot chocolate, which were both pretty decent, but not particularly spectacular. The ambience is really nice, but that's pretty much the only selling point of this spot. Very Instagram-worthy but pretty underwhelming in all other aspects. Still, I don't really regret going -- it feels like one of those things you do once and only once, for the experience! read more
It was our first time here at Cafe de Flore. We were strolling to see what sounds great for dinner. This corner was packed with cafes, restaurants and bars. We stepped inside and a gentleman in a suit greeted us and he was very polite, he asked us where would we like to sit, outdoor to middle section patio or indoors. We sat in the semi open patio & I love the seating area and watch people. Our waiter was Francois and he was very friendly, hardworking, efficient and he was serving the whole patio and yet very polite. We absolutely had a wonderful dinner and definitely enjoyed it. Incredibly average and underwhelming, instagram over promised and under delivered. Very mediocre onion soup and slow service. Asked for our check multiple times due to the restaurant being uncomfortably hot inside and our waiter disappeared for over 20 mins. The person we asked to help us get the check since we couldn't find our waiter was rude to us. Really disappointing for such a cute, cozy, and historic place that I had high hopes for. read more

Feel Parisian. Dream of rubbing elbows and conversing with great minds. Enjoy exceptional hot chocolate and croque monseiur. I have to admit this may be one of the reasons to make a return trip to Paris--and you can see the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, but the chaud chocolate is the reason. read more

BEST breakfast in Paris hands down. When you've been open since 1887, you're doing something right. This was my first and favorite breakfast from this trip. Wish I'd just come back every day. This place is bustling and is on the radar for tourists however don't be fooled as it's Paris perfection. I sat nearly immediately even though they were busy. I sat inside facing the street. You'll be packed into cozy tables and have plenty of people watching. I ordered the soft boiled eggs with mouillettes and chocolat chaud. Such a simple meal but it possibly could be my request for my last meal on earth. I'm not one for hard breads but I swear the long thin bread served with my perfectly cooked eggs was perfection. Best hot chocolate I've had in my life!!! A bit like drinking melted chocolate but not too heavy. They get it just right. I promise it will ruin hot chocolate for you because there's no powder in this house. I want to go back to Paris just to eat here every day. read more

In Paris for the first time and heard this place was one to visit. We showed up at around 11am and waited for in line a few minutes. Decided to sit inside patio to people watch. Tables are tight so if you pick this are expect to be cramped. This place is busy so it took a little to order. Food do come quick and fast. It was ok but we expected more. We'll defined be back but will sit inside or upstairs next time. read more
Probably a 3.5 overall. Cafe de Flore is one of the "legacy" cafes in the area along with Lipp and Deux Magots. I was not expecting much but honestly, it was pretty decent. I ordered a quiche Lorraine - if we were rating on this alone it would be a 5. It was a big piece and perfectly custardy and delicious! The pastry was flaky and overall it was super good. Yay!! Then I had a Tarte tatin which was a huge piece! Sadly, it was clearly microwaved and totally mushy with disintegrated pastry. That's a 1 star - NAY. Overall, better than average. Worth checking out if you want to try a classic. read more
Ambience: This place is so pretty and picture perfect cafe! The wait wasn't long but it is pretty tight. Good for two people and they serve both the popular hot coco and actual food. Service: The service was good and the food came out pretty fast! Food: We both got tea because we were feeling nauseous after flying a red eye. The tea hit the spot and we got some French onion soup. I would say this is not a cheap spot so be prepared to spend some money! I would come back for the dessert menu! read more
Stumbled upon this little gem near my hotel after a marathon travel day and a nighttime Louvre adventure. I was in serious need of some 'stick-to-your-ribs' comfort food, and the Quiche Lorraine, while the only food on the menu to fit that category, totally delivered. read more
