Avacado toast is out of this world! Juice so fresh and delicious, I really dig that it's served in a glass bottle too.

I also have to say -- I genuinely do not understand some of the comments saying the waitstaff were rude or uninviting. Every female waitress we encountered was beyond gorgeous, cheerful, smiling constantly, and so kind to both me and my older great aunt. We got so many sweet compliments throughout the day and everyone made us feel very welcome. Michelle behind the bar was especially lovely and pours a STRONG drink, which we appreciated Honestly, I'm surprised they weren't busier for Memorial Day weekend, although maybe the bigger crowd came earlier in the day. Food-wise, the appetizers and seafood specials were very satisfying and obviously fresh. We ordered the crab cakes, soft shell crab special, their clam special (half clam casino / half clam oreganata), and a Bloody Mary topped with what had to be 12 shrimp. The crab dishes especially were fantastic -- those crab cakes were PACKED with crab and tasted incredibly fresh. I do want to leave a couple honest criticisms though. I was not impressed with the mussels in white wine sauce, despite multiple waitresses recommending them. This is a dish I order frequently in NYC and Long Island, so maybe my standards are high, but the sauce was unusually sweet -- my great aunt noticed it immediately too. It almost tasted like a sweet white wine was used, which just doesn't work for this kind of dish. The wine either tasted low quality or maybe wasn't cooked off enough. One other thing that disappointed me: the drawn butter is definitely not real butter. It tasted like a vegetable oil-based substitute. For a seafood restaurant serving fresh crab and lobster, I really think real butter should be standard. That said, I would absolutely come back here for the vibes alone. Beautiful waterfront setting, friendly staff, strong drinks, and fresh seafood made for such a relaxing holiday afternoon.

The problem here is the kitchen. It must be too small for the size of the restaurant. This place is…read morenot good for large parties. We were a party of 10 and told that there'd be a 45-minute wait for a table, which was fine with us. We had a couple rounds of drinks at the bar and waited patiently to be seated, which we were about an hour after arriving. The problem came when we ordered our appetizers - garlic bread w/ and w/o cheese, crab cakes (2 orders), sesame crusted ahi tuna, and bang bang shrimp (2 orders). We waited at least an hour for our appetizers. Even the garlic bread took over an hour. When I asked our server, (who was very good, professional, friendly and attentive), after waiting about 45 minutes, if we could just have our garlic bread, because we were extremely hungry now at 8:30pm, she said it was coming out soon but that she'd bring us some Italian bread, which we didn't want but we ate anyway. Our entrees took another 45 minutes to come out after we finished our appetizers. The food was good. The portions were large. It was just the extremely long wait time for the food that killed this place for us. After the meal, I politely and privately asked our server if there was anything that could be done to make up for the wait time. She asked the manager and came back out with a bottle of Sambuca and shot glasses. No one wanted that so we politely turned that away. Our server then asked if anyone wanted dessert or coffee. It was already about 9:45pm. We were tired from a long day and ready to get out of there, so everyone passed on dessert and coffee. Our server then came back with the check. No discount at all. So I politely said, "There was nothing that could be done about the wait?", and she said, "I can ask the manager again, but we offered you Sambuca and then dessert, which was going to be on the house, but you didn't want either." I said, "OK, yes, please ask the manager again." She came back and said, "The manager took off a round of drinks for you.", which I was pleased with. Bottom line - if you're a large party (more than 6), or if they have a large party ahead of you, don't eat here.

Yummy and not overwhelmingly sweet which seems to be the trend. But what stood out was their version of a Macchiato I got. It was strong, rich and not milky! It was on the smaller side, but the barista named Lauren, nailed it! She was quite friendly and pleasant as well. The other barista whom I did not catch her name was friendly and very nice. The both of them made for such a nice coffee break as I just had a beer prior. The ambiance was antique and modern with a cool poem stash on the bay window that gave a nice touch of reading pleasure and the seating which was intimate and close. Not a big place but organized well. Lighting was more natural lighting which was really nice. I love great coffee and if you are looking for a nice cup of some and some good cake to go along with it, this is where to go. Thank you for an awesome experience.

I decided to try some of the different truffles they had, including the Raspberry Jelly, Tahini Lime, PB & J and Passionfruit Vanilla. I also ordered the Mocha Latte. Everything was incredible! The truffles were out of this world good and the flavors were spot on. The latte was also the perfect cross between espresso and hot chocolate. The service was fast and friendly, and the shop is so cute. I highly recommend ordering a drink and enjoying it in the shop!

When we went into the store the rude, abrasive redhead behind the counter barked how do you want to pay for this, you can pay for your chips and sandwiches together if you want. I said I already paid for the sandwiches, I just want to... Redhead barks I'm not letting you walk out of here with 3 sandwiches with all the extras without paying. Still confused I started to seek clarification at which she called her boss regarding the confrontational customer, full blown attitude... my order was canceled, my payment on hold, just all very nasty. Her boss had sent her a screen shot, my payment canceled. Meanwhile, my bank account was frozen by the transaction, so no sandwiches for my family. I understand things happen, I work in customer service too. The difference is I don't attack customers for misunderstandings and she was just awful. I won't go there again, I just walked out, I had no other options. My sandwiches thrown in the trash happily by this nasty individual. I'm just one person, we are just one family but I've not had anyone drive home the insignificance of us the way she and her boss did today.

Well, I do thank this location, because this location had an employee that opened up a new line so that I could pass directly into a line so I wouldn't have to wait to pay for the service. Maybe seeing as I had cash and had the Gas Cash Card in hand (and handy), maybe triggered them to see that I didn't pose a major threat to making the transaction be easy for them to complete. They didn't ask or remind me that I had a Speedy Rewards account I could use at the register, but I remembered the card just after handing them the Gas Cash Card and they completed the transaction smoothly. The money was added and I got a receipt as I asked. I went out and pumped. I had no real problems there. The ground still looks a little old and predates the Speedway pumps, but they work. The fact that the Walmart across the street helps, makes this place a go-to place when I'm in Catskill. I had been here before, but it had been a long time and this time was different : they didn't realize that this time it would be the experience I'd be reviewing about.
