Stumbled upon the cutest delicious brunch spot during a random walk in Montreal Quebec . Portions were generously massive. The ambiance was lively but still comfortable enough to have a conversation with your company without screaming or repeating. Servers were very polite and knowledgeable. My friend and i underestimated how much food we ordered and the were kind enough to move us to another table and assisted with us getting seated seamlessly without being responsible for carrying anything over. They really know how to describe what eat dish was and what to expect when ordering the specific items. During the summers they have a cutie patio where you can enjoy your coffee brunch and just enjoy the outdoor air and feel the sun it's such a nice feeling. Don't be intimidated by the french, the menu still has english on it but if you need a better description that's where the server fills in the blank. We had a wonderful dinner here! We loved the food, intimate atmosphere, and friendly staff. There is quite a bit of construction on the street where it's located, so you might miss it. Once we entered into the restaurant and we seated at the bar. This was a great spot to people watch and enjoy our drinks. Located in Montreal This hipster style cafe is a great spot for brunch and/or lunch in Montreal! We loved how they decorated their cafe with so many plants and how cute the patio was. We ordered their Brisket and Breakfast Pizza off their brunch menu. The Brisket came with a fried egg, grilled beans, corn, salsa, cherry tomatoes, sour cream and tortillas. We enjoyed how they included many different vegetables and ingredients. The brisket wasn't the best piece as it was very chewy, and the tortillas were a little stale. The Breakfast Pizza was such a large portion! It came with tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, grilled onions, olives, feta, Parmesan and arugula. We liked how they topped the pizza with a nicely fried egg. The pizza was super tasty despite all the vegetables on it, and we would definitely order this again. A charming, urban establishment, bustling with servers in t-shirts and jeans, our arrival went barely noticed as we waited in line to be greeted. Despite being the first time today we had to wait, our slowly spent minutes amplified the golden caresses of that creamy, rich espresso that seeped from our imagination to our septum. With 4.4 stars, and nearly 2 thousand reviews, our hopes for this place was high. Far from the quaint Roma enfants d'amour we were used to, the place seemed much closer to a snack bar, bar proper, or even restaurant. But as I remarked to my friend, "Even Deleuze enjoyed sandwiches and croissants with his Saturday morning coffees." Our excitement was palpable, we could almost touch it. The server returned with our coffees in ribbed cardboard cups and a credit machine, and we noted with amusement how we were served still in line. With no place for us to sit, we hurried back to our plaza di rendez-vous, a matted silver Camry from 2004, not unlike the color of old spoons, never accidented but Dreidutzend times dented. With Rachmaninov's second piano concerto on the AUX, we were ready. Unveiling our brides, the first sign of horror that beheld us was the distinct lack of crema, that fundamental golden hair that crowned the surface of the most espresso. Smelling once was enough to spur a small cry from me. "No no no no no!" Lukewarm and tasting like soy sauce, I could not bring myself to go past the first sip. If the Café Olympico was subtle with its acridity, this one displayed it openly. Violently sour, not only was our bride bald, but she was also toothless, warted, and suffered from gangrene. We had been, quite plainly, catfished. It was Vietnam all over again. At 3$, this coffee was not nearly 3 times better, nor even, arguably, as good, as the basic espresso from Tim Horton's that cost 1$. And that's not hard to beat. Though we cannot speak for the rest of the establishment's offerings, we can only assume that there is whence this café derives its otherwise pristine reputation. Our first meal in Montreal and it did not disappoint! First off, the restaurant is very quaint and charming. The greenery throughout gives a warm ambiance and charm. As for the food...it was terrific. Had the mushroom appetizer for starters. It was flavorful to say the least. The mushrooms are in a batter that is flat-out delicious. For the main course we had the turkey pizza which was excellent. For dessert we indulged in the bread pudding with butterscotch sauce, which was heavenly. While not normally a fan of butterscotch, this sauce was nothing short of amazing. Much more rich and flavorful than any other butterscotch I've had. They found us a table that had space to park our baby in her stroller, which we appreciated. The atmosphere here is fantastic and the biggest reason to come here. The space is filled with lovely plants hanging from above and has plenty of seating. There was a pianist / singer crooning softly for a portion of our meal. The only downside was the bathroom. It was a bit cramped and I had a hard time figuring out how to use the sink - it turned out the faucet was pedal operated and when you push down, the water gushes out at an uncomfortably high volume. Upon entering the café/ restaurant it had a nice chill vibe. But I think seeing how I was alone, I was told to sit at the bar table by the host cause all the other tables were reserved. For the most part, even when I left, all the other tables were still unoccupied. I suppose I didn't mind sitting at a bar table though. There is wifi, just need a password for it, and it works relatively well contrary to other reviews. I ordered an ice latte and a chocolate croissant. Not sure about the other staff, but the pretty girl in a ponytail who made my iced coffee was really nice. A bit sad that my croissant wasn't crispy though and not sure if they have an oven where they could heat up my croissant for me or not. It was winter the last time I was at Cafe Parvis. Seeing the nice street side terrasse they have right now was great! The little tables looked fantastic, with all the flowers, herbs and other plants around them. Since it was late morning on a weekday, there wasn't a lot of people and we snatched one of those lovely little marble tables by the window. We each got a latte and shared a croissant. The pizza we tried really hot the spot - we had a red and white pizza and both had superb crust, nice cheese, and fresh basil + toppings. My daughter told me this was the best pizza she had ever had. I can say that it was all very good to me. The beer we had and the bread pudding + banana cream pie, both gourmet level, also made table. Just arriving into the city for the weekend, not knowing what to eat, we stumbled upon this place and what a cute place! I had the trout burger which gave me an orgasm in my mouth (Hope that's appropriate for Yelp reviews because if it isn't, Cafe Parvis may have to take it off their menu). Their eggplant salad wasn't what I expected (salad with eggplant). It is actually bunch of eggplant with little kale (which I actually loved). I've been trying to discover the vegetarian/vegan scene a bit more so I knew I had to check this place out and it didn't disappoint. I sat outside so I can't really vouch for how comfortable it is. But their little terrace is only comfortable if you're in the shade. We were seated right under the sun and it was not pleasant. The chairs are metallic so you start to sweat and stick to it and it's not a fun way to have a meal. Service is really quick and the busboy circled many times to give us water (thank god) which is a plus because lots of places forget to refill your water. We ordered the vegan burger and pear/bacon pizza to share and I'm still raving about it. Who knew putting pear on a pizza with bacon would create such beautifulness? The taste is perfectly balanced with a hint of sweet and salty. The burger was also delicious. I went to cafe parvis for lunch after hearing so much about this cafe. I was very happy to see that it's walking distance from my work. Arriving there, I saw that it was quite full and I had to wait to be seated. I decided to be seated inside. I loved the decor with the fresh plants hanging and the old walls as well as furnitures. It gives you a vintage feeling which made me feel happy. I went through the menu and the pizza was very interesting as they had so many fresh ingredients such as kale, cod fish etc... the waiter came and took my order with which I was pleased but he mentioned that they're tiny pieces and I was quite disappointed. One piece is $8 which is not very filling and I found it quite expensive After 10-15 minutes of wait, my food arrived and at first bite, I found that my pizza crust was not fresh and felt really hard on the teeth, I'm assuming that they were leftovers and that they just served it by warming it up again and I was very disappointed by it. I thought the food is fresh and good as this is what I have heard but going in today made me realized that I spent $25 including for nothing as it wasn't good at all. I will not return. read more

I've been here many times (and their sister bar next door; Bar Furco). This review is for a dinner I had here recently. My best friend wanted to have the pizza from Café Parvis as her last "normal" pizza before she completely cut out gluten from her diet. We shared the margherita pizza and the mushroom pizza (with portabello mushroom and sautéed kale with hazelnut, cream sauce and parmesan). I appreciated that the basil came shredded on the margherita so you had some with each bite. The mushroom pizza was my personal favourite and I even took one to go afterwards for my boyfriend! This is my new favourite cafe in all of Montreal. I was looking for a nice brunch spot in the heart of downtown Montreal and was very pleased to find Café Parvis. As always, I checked out the yelp page and menu beforehand and it looked great. I got there and had the option of either sitting at the bar or joining another couple at a larger table. We really wanted a seat by the window and saw someone else finishing up so we took the spot at the bar and waiting for the table to become available. While seated at the bar, we saw the bartender making a cold brew lemonade which she offered us a sample taste of. It was so delicious I've started trying to get a similar drink made for me at my local Starbucks (not as good, but close). We ended up ordering and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Everything was delicious!! Due to a dietary restriction, I asked to make an alteration to my pizza order but they could not accommodate it. It was kind of upsetting since it would have saved them money and it didn't seem to busy, but that's okay. All of the food was amazing and I'm looking forward to returning. read more

I chose a type of egg dish and when I received if I was disappointed that the actual hard boiled egg was cold. Also their drink and not good, the hot chocolate taste more like water and powder and again it was warm not HOT. The croissant was not fresh way too crispy and hard. Although and the plates looked good and had nice visuals on the plate, but the taste did not meet my expectations. Came here for brunch on a saturday. It wasn't too crowded but it was probably due to the rain. We sat at the bar and I had their iced latte and the pan fried fish. The coffee was a bit too sour and I didn't finish it. However, the pan fried fish was perfectly cooked with crispy edges and a soft and tender inside. It came with caviar and some mushed puree and the combination was delicious. I wasn't really full after the meal but can't deny that it was delicious. Lots of vegetarian friendly options. The pizza was good but nothing extraordinary hence the 4 stars. The prices are fair in relation to the portions. The iced tea deserves a mention. I dislike sugary iced teas and for once the one I ordered was the exact opposite but without tasting like dirt as the un-sweetened iced teas can. It was flavourful and extremely pleasant. The service deserves a special mention too, our waiter was super patient even though or friends were late. We each took a coffee, machiatto and latte, and shared a scone but noticed they also have a good menu selection. It was a nice sunny day, and we were able to sit by the open window/terrasse. Loved the greenery from the hanging plants plus the vibe, it was a nice relaxing atmosphere away from the busyness and the rush of people getting out from work in downtown. Worth a stop!
