My friend made reservations in advanced as it is a must. A party arrived right before us and we're told they had to wait on a busy looking Saturday morning. It was so busy that even with our reservations, we got seated on the outskirts of the establishment in the connecting hallway. The inside was cute and cozy from what we could gather during the walk through and can only imagine what the second floor was like. For food we ordered their Bene meat lover, Demi Demi, cassolette, Meat lover omelette and finally Strawberry, banana and Nutella crepe. We loved the presentation of everything and also were surprised with the speed everything was brought out. After asking for switching out ingredients, they weren't able to accommodate. We also overheard the next table who had an allergy to gluten struggle to find something on the menu. Even after the conversation, the allergy was not relayed to the kitchen and serves as a strong warning for those with dietary restrictions. Overall, we weren't super impressed with the quality of the food nor the limited ability to change out items as if everything is just coming out of premade containers. Bottomless mimosas sounded like a great deal until we realized it was mostly orange juice. Waitress was nice but some of the other staff seemed annoyed we were still lingering within our 2 hour limited stay.

Ginkgo served some of the freshest food I had in all of Montreal! I cannot understate that enough. I had the Ginkgo Vege and would absolutely order it again. The eggs were cooked perfectly and on the softest bread. It also came with a large portion of fresh fruits (grapefruit, grapes, kiwi, melon) and potatoes. There wasn't a speck of food left on my plate when I was done. Also had the Demi-Demi (half eggs Benedict, half waffle with Nutella, strawberries, and banana). A large portion size, can definitely serve 2. The Chocolat Chuad Espresso was also soooooo good!! I also appreciated the ambiance of this place as well. There are tons of green walls, marble countertops, charming plant chandeliers, and so much natural lighting. Hate to say it, but it is indeed the perfect Instagram spot, haha.

We reserved online for a group of 8 adults and three kids. Reserving online was super easy and quickly a confirmed by the restaurant. Our server Charlotte, was very sweet, kind and efficient. Bottomless mimosa were 25$ and were refilled quicker than most bottomless mimosa resto, it's premixed and a bottom for efficiency. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We were seated half in the resto and half into the UQAM lobby, which is totally fine just whenever anyone uses the random exit door it was freezing. In fairness I don't think that door was allowed to be used but who knows! Super comfy chairs and great decor. The women's bathroom was disgusting and only one stall worked.

Perfect brunch spot in Montreal! Service was quick & excellent. I ordered the Demi Demi and it did not disappoint.

Decent place for brunch! Prices are pretty high but that's most brunch places nowadays. The menu has some very nice choices and I'm for sure going to come back and try some more things. My cousin and I visited to have a catch up session and it was great! We sat outside, it was a beautiful day, servers were nice, and it wasn't crowded for a saturday morning. I ordered the plate that comes with mini crepes, bacon, two eggs, fruits, and mini potatoes. I thought the bacon was really good but the mini potatoes quite ordinary. I got a chocolate dip for my crepe which was an extra charge but it was worth it! I got my eggs poached which was a bad decision because without hollandaise sauce it just tastes kinda weird.

Super cute resto, a whole vibe! Staff is super nice and atmosphere is really comfortable. Food is amazing, and their Mochaccinos to die for! Price for food and all is reasonable and you'll definitely eat well. 100% recommend!

Having this place on the UQAM campus definitely adds to the fun brunch vibes this spot already has going for it. I had no idea what brunch was when I was in undergrad many, many, ma...ok, perhaps one "many" was enough" but you get what I mean. Being young and trendy, sipping on mimosas and finding all IG photo ops while brunching is such a vibe! Anyway, on to what matters most THE FOOD! My group and I ordered the banana, strawberry and chocolate crepe to share. It was the perfect size for four people. My main dish was the Mediterranean Benedict which was cooked to perfection and included a side of potatoes and fruit. Service was great, with friendly staff. Reservations allowed and recommended! Arriving at 1130 on a Sunday, the wait time was already at about 45-60 minutes. Worth the wait; however, why waste precious brunch time?! Cheers.

It is an extremely lovely brunch spot, the decorations are just on point and so trendy, the pastel colors made my day! As a tourist who sucks at French, I walked in there expecting there to be English menu, but there was none. We asked the server, and he barely speak any English too and he told my friend who understands French that since it's next to a French university they don't have English menu, I'm sorry but as long as u r not the cafeteria of the university this sounds like BS to me. Also the service is EXTREMELY SLOW, and that same male server was so rude to us after that initial conversation and he literally ignored us, and even after we asked him to bring us the bill he never came back with it. Let's talk about food, after my friend taking forever to translating everything to me, we decided to go with eggs Benedict, I went with meat lover because I'm just into all kinds of meat, I also added spice to the hollandaise sauce, my friend got the demi Demi which is half eggs Benedict half strawberry banana Nutella waffles, isn't this just what heaven is made of??? Their smoothie is kinda disappointing, there are lots of giant chunks of fruits that were not blended all the way thru.

A friend recommended this spot for brunch; we arrived right before noon on a Saturday and the place was lively. It's a nicely decorated restaurant with plenty of seating, and centrally located next to UQAM by Berri metro. I ordered the French toast which comes with a choice of meat and an almond milk latte in a bowl. The coffee was great; it was strong and warm and a tad more expensive cause they charged me for the almond milk substitution (we need to change that Montreal!). The meal was okay; it was actually kind of boring. They could have added some fruit to liven it up but nope, a few slices of bread and two sausages. At least it was eatable?! There are a few options for breakfast in this neighborhood so I can't say I'd come again, especially not for the food, but it's a great space to grab a coffee...

Always an easy pick when craving brunch near Berri-Uqam. The food is good! Portions aren't very big but if you get more than one menu item you won't really notice. Only downside is that it has always taken a while to get seated despite it being very few people. I don't know if they do takeout and/or delivery at the moment, but definitely give them a try if you're around and want to get a light breakfast!

My friend and I (both huge brunch-lovers) were planning a weekend trip to Montreal and discovered this place through Instagram. We made reservations online for a Saturday morning (huge plus since brunch places can get busy quite fast and the worst thing is waiting in line with an empty stomach!) We walked in to a beautiful aesthetic - an open space with lots of plants and different tables (high, low, group etc) and were greeted by our lovely server. Their menu has a variety of options, from eggs benedicts, omelettes, french toast, crepes and waffles, so there's definitely something for everyone! My friend and I both ordered the Florentine eggs Benedict, that also came with some amazing hash browns and a fresh bowl of fruit. The only one suggestion that I would make is to tell the customers ahead of time that all of the breakfast platters come with a free drink (like coffee or tea) because that's an awesome bonus that we didn't know about until the bill came! Overall, a fantastic brunch spot with great service, an aesthetic space, and some great food - I would definitely come back again!

Found the perfect Instagram worthy spot for brunch! The service was amazing, the ambiance was set with the decor, and food was delicious! A bit pricey in my opinion for the quantity you get. Quality wise it was great! Absolutely love their eggs benedict and omelette! And obviously can't start of the morning without some delicious coffee which they served! Would definitely come back again once I'm in the area!

Went here for brunch, had the eggs florentine and shared a banana chocolate crepe. The crepe definitely was super filling, though was worth buying as a little splurge purchase on top of the eggs florentine. The florentine was great, and I also appreciated the large amount of fresh fruit (compared to the usual one slice of orange / one or two strawberries at other brunch places). The atmosphere and decor is also super cute!

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

The server seated us without warning, and when we went to order, each item we requested had run out. No Cuban, no chicken melt, no several other delicious sounding things. She gave us 10 more minutes to look over the menu and come up with a plan B. Truthfully I wanted to jump ship, but couldn't because our drink orders were already in, and I was captain of this gastronomic journey. We'd set sail without proper forecasting! We settled on the baked egg and salmon bowl, neither what we were exactly craving. The baked egg was fairly tasty, a shakshouka-esque experience accompanied by rustic bread for hasty dipping. The salmon bowl was excellent, with delicious dressing, but the salmon portion was oh-so-meager. It made me wonder if the lunch rush had given the kitchen such a beating that they had split my salmon filet in half and served it to me and my neighboring table friend. Check out my photo and tell me if that portion seems right? The lore says Michael Jordan worked his rear off every game because he always told himself there was probably at least one kid in the stands who came there to see THE Michael Jordan. Well this kid in the stands caught Olive et Gourmando taking the night off. There is a risk for peril if you choose this restaurant, especially if you are in Montréal for a limited time!
