Thankful it made its way to small town label. Location: located in the plaza right next to hungry howies. There is parking available directly in front. The deli has maybe 4-5 tables to sit and eat and a full counter space with high chairs. Food: They offer the typical popular cuban bakery style items. We ordered some Of the ham croquettas and tried their chorizo croquetta which was pretty tasty. We ordered a few of the pastries guava and cheese, cheese and coconut all were great not to flaky and well done. Finally we took home some sandwiches pan con bistec, cuban sandwich and media noche. All 3 sandwiches were well made and pretty big. Ham was fresh, cheese was nicely melted & bread was nicely toasted (pressed). Price: its in the scope of normal some things a little higher than others. Considering the time we are in I can understand the prices a little higher. Staff: Super friendly attentive and welcoming.

At this point, the staff knows my order before I even get to the counter, which says a lot about how often I'm here and how much I enjoy the place. In my opinion, they serve the best Cuban tostada in Southwest Florida. The Cuban bread is exactly how it should be--not overly soft or spongy--and toasted to the perfect golden crisp. Pair that with a large café con leche, and you've got the perfect start to the day. Every now and then I'll add a couple of ham croquetas, and they never disappoint. Over the years I've worked my way through much of their hot food selection, including the congri rice, yuca, fried plantains, pork chunks, ropa vieja, and Cuban tamales. Every dish has been consistently flavorful and satisfying. I've even ordered large catering platters for holidays and family events, and they've always been a hit. Needless to say, this is one of my go-to spots. Great food, friendly people, and consistent quality keep me coming back week after week. And I almost forgot--the chicharrones are absolutely FIRE. If they're available, do yourself a favor and grab some.

1 STAR -- Absolutely Terrible Customer Service…read more I would give ZERO stars if I could. This was one of the most disappointing and inconsiderate experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. I called La Delicias ahead of time specifically to confirm their hours because I wanted to make sure we could come in and eat. I was told they were open until 7:00 PM. We arrived at approximately 6:15 PM -- nearly 45 minutes before their posted closing time -- expecting to sit down and have dinner. Instead, we were told, "Sorry, you cannot eat here because we close at 7:00 and we need time to clean." Seriously? If you don't allow customers to sit down and eat at 6:15 PM, then YOU ARE NOT OPEN UNTIL 7:00 PM. Change your hours to reflect the actual time you stop serving customers. I even explained to the woman that I had called ahead before coming and specifically asked about their closing time. I told her, "I called an hour ahead of time. You told me you close at 7:00. It's 6:15, and I'm here, and I can't even sit down and eat?" There was absolutely no empathy, no attempt to accommodate us, and no concern whatsoever that we had made the effort to call ahead and come there based on the information they gave us. I completely understand that employees need time to clean and close the restaurant. But you don't start turning customers away nearly an hour before your advertised closing time and expect people to be okay with it. If you need that much time to clean, then your business hours should say that you close at 6:15 PM. This wasn't about expecting special treatment. It was about basic honesty, reasonable customer service, and respecting people's time. We drove there expecting to have dinner, only to be turned away while they were still technically open. Extremely disappointing. Extremely inconsiderate. I will not be returning, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend La Delicias to anyone.

While traveling to Miami, we stumbled across this little gem, and I'm so glad we did! We ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on Cuban bread, and let me tell you this thing is HUGE! It was easily big enough for two people to split and was loaded with bacon. The Cuban bread was absolutely perfect fresh, soft, and delicious. Of course, we had to pair it with a café con leche, and it did not disappoint! Then came the pastries because you can't visit a bakery and only order one thing! We tried the cheese pastry, guava pastry, and apple turnover, and every single one was delicious. They had the perfect amount of sweetness without being overloaded with sugar, so you could actually taste the amazing guava flavor. We even took home a whole platter of guava and cheese pastries for the family. Unfortunately for me, they were completely devoured before I could get a picture! They have plenty of seating if you want to sit and enjoy your food, or you can grab everything to go. The service was fast, the food was delicious, and it was SO much better than grabbing another fast-food meal on the road. Definitely add Havana Restaurant and Bakery to your road trip food stops! You won't regret it!
