My favorite cafe in Montreal! Despite the cold, snowy weather outside, the inside was warm, bright, and inviting. I visited on the last day of February, and the barista kindly told us about their Valentine's special -- the Mon Amour foam (strawberry-flavored). I knew I had to try it. I ordered the matcha freddo with the special strawberry foam, and my fiancé got the freddo zesto. I believe the difference between the freddo zesto and the freddo cap is that the cap is creamier and milder, while the zesto is stronger -- perfect for the morning! My matcha was so yummy, and the color was a beautiful green. I love matcha, and this one did not disappoint. I would definitely go back next time. I mean, how fun is this cafe!! Their freddy cap is so eye catching, my friend and I just had to stop in while walking around this section of Montreal. The employees were super friendly and were able to quickly work through the line. This place was popping and they have an outdoor area and then a decent amount of tables inside for the size of the cafe. The freddy cap did not disappoint and I'd totally love to enjoy one again soon. read more

was really craving a matcha & i found this cafe! i initially wanted to try their freddo matcha with strawberry foam, but turns out that's seasonal :( but i opted to get the freddo matcha itself to try and it was really good! presentation was nice and the barista was very friendly! very cute diner vibes, would be a great place to chill and study at. i wish the drink itself was a little larger because half my drink was just the foam itself, otherwise it's a very yummy matcha latte and satisfied my cravings, but didn't fulfill it read more

What can I say... I flew in from Athens Greece on the afternoon of April 12th and have come by here every day since for a daily incredible experience and of course delightful goodies! From Molly's incredible Flat White to Costa's incredible honey sweetened hot Matcha Latte, to Catherine's very beautiful/ welcoming smile at the cash register and Tony's (the founder) impeccable hospitality, I already know I'm going to profoundly miss this place and it's loving energy when I return to Greece next week. Yearning for a good cup of coffee in the Mile End area on our way back to the US, Alphabet delivered a GREAT cup instead. Bustling with people outside and inside- the line was surprisingly flowing in good time and the people outside were just enjoying their drinks. It took a couple of minutes for our drinks but that was expected due to the crowd on Labor Day. Pastries and assorted coffee selections, we got the Freddo Cap and a classic hot americano. Freddo cap- what can I say-- this drink was perfection in a glass. Sweetened foamed milk topped off a great shot of espresso and milk ratio. Creamy and rich in flavor. Would recommend this for anyone who would want to get something different that your regular cappuccino or latte. Not overly sweet but has all the oomph that you would enjoy. Our barista was actually Tom, one of the owners/brothers who also have their own roastery, so you know their beans are legit. I hope his candor and love for the place doesn't fade because it does show when you love what you do and every customer getting the drinks was welcomed with a friendly face. Our Americano was rich and just a simple great cup. We had our drinks inside. Interior is cozy and clean. Exterior is on a corner fitted with benches for people to enjoy. Street parking, cc and cash. A cute cafe in the Mile End area that served a lovely pit stop to rest my feet and grab a pick me up matcha. I had the matcha freddo which was delightful! It is the definition of creamy and frothy, without the heaviness. The staff were super friendly and the barista was kind enough to let me film as he poured the snowy froth and sprinkling on the matcha powder for my social media haha. There is a couple of outdoor seats and some indoor seats, but was pretty hard to get one even during the week. Nevertheless, a charming spot to visit if you need a break from shopping in the area. read more

Me and a girlfriend stopped in here on Monday before heading back to the US. It was a great stop. Servers were nice and social, my matcha was exceptional. The tables inside were full of people working. They had a nice outdoor seating area. Over all great stop, would come back! read more

As we were walking on Bernard we noticed a very charming cafe with a nice terrace and we were automatically drawn to grab something. This recent addition to the Mile End scene opened its doors only a month ago. Beautiful interior and friendly staff as a bonus. Got the Matcha Fredo, and I will be consistently yearning for it everyday now. Some weird godly foam thing and a great matcha to boot. The barista was super friendly and charismatic, gave my friend free foam and made us a special pumpkin spice flavoured foam.
