Omelet, fried potatoes and smash burger

Another excellent brunch visit. Robin built her omelette and added fried potatoes. I had their signature smash burger! Always happy with Cafe Appalachia!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very interesting cafe that was formerly a church.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Have a garden beside it which they use the produce in their dishes. Servicing breakfast and lunch. We got the quiche, green fried tomato sandwich and chicken cluck sandwich. All were very tasty. You order at the window and they bring it to you. This is also an outreach mission to help women who have come through recovery. Everyone was very nice and helpful

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Just wow. What an incredible oasis![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I opted to sit outside in the garden to eat and while there are some bugs so you may wanna make sure you have some repellent... you couldn't ask for a nicer space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was not bad and they made it to order from scratch... how can you complain about that?

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything is freshly made. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor seating is just wonderful, garden, birds, real nice start of your morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely little place. Looked bright and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We both had an Open face breakfast sandwich and it was not tasty at all. Uneventful, unnecessary jam on top of cold untoasted sourdough bread, Over cooked eggs lacking freshness and flavor. The lettuce was fresh and welcome crunch. Tough to cut, much less enjoy. Cheese grits were ok. But had a crust on top. I'm from NC so I think I know some tasty grits. The best part of the meal was the friendly lady watering the plants. Oh yes and the sausage was delicious.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! It was not what I expected at all in the most amazing way. The minute we walked in we were greeted by friendly and happy staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The whole concept was something I fell in love with immediately. Farm to table. And not even a huge farm far away but a beautiful garden oasis in outside their back door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was amazing! With the freshest vegetables that they literally picked that morning. The coffee was delicious. We ordered omelettes, a kids, waffle, and an eggs and toast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food was super good and fresh, atmosphere amazing, staff amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is such a cute cafe/coffee shop. Staff was very friendly. We tried the lemon and peanut butter cookies. Both were delicious but the peanut butter one was to die for. They have a huge outdoor patio that allows dogs.

The FAM and I went here for breakfast while on our WVA vacation. Overall we enjoyed our visit and the food. They are a nonprofit located in a former church. You can read more about it here: https://apnews.com/article/134eef6e1b54448db89a79bbcd5c89cf They have beautiful functional garden and flowers with various benches, tables and seats. The inside is super cute with mix and match tables, string lights and an open kitchen. We ordered two "your choice" eggs sandwiches, a yogurt parfait, an omelet and cheesy grits, zucchini bread and four coffees. The egg sandwiches were divine. Definitely get the "special sauce" which was a lemon aioli. The parfait was excellent and the fruit in it (strawberries and blueberries) were perfect. The zucchini bread was light, fluffy and very cinnamon-y. Delicious. The only disappointing food was what hubs got. The omelette was okay, a little on the dry side. The grits were down right terrible. They were barely warm and the cheese shreds were still intact. I gave it a 4 because I like what they are doing and 3/4 of the food was fantastic.

This cafe in a former church building employs women from a local support program. Great food and a great cause.

I walked up to find a couple of people working there who I take to be ownership. Notably, the reason I hadn't visited before is that I often travel on Sunday and they're closed on Sunday. You can run a business however you want I guess, but Sunday does seem like a time where a lot of people would want to be able to purchase some ice cream. In substance, the gelato selection was very good. They had a few non-dairy options. I picked several flavors that were wildly different, but was recommended to try something more consonant, which I suspect reflects a difference in thought processes between the more masculine high-decoupling mind and a contrasting holistic approach. Having said that, I went with the recommendation for what tasted like a very ripe banana flavor, as well as a tiramisu cream that definitely tasted like high quality tiramisu, and a pure hazelnut flavor. It was a high quality smooth dessert, and in relative terms, the price was less than what you'd pay at a high-end place in a big city. And while I can't say I've been to Italy, this gelato was as good as you'd get in any of the American places I've been to, so it's a great stop here in Charleston.

The best gelato I've ever had! You can tell the ingredients are fresh and authentic. I was able to…read moretest out some flavors of gelato before ordering. Great service and ample seating inside.
