Had and amazingly good Italian pesto sandwich on toasted torta bread. Really tasty. To drink I had the Chai tea as a slurpy, (Joe will set you up how you want it). And was very good. Reminded me of Thai Ice tea. I'll be back again, way much better than any chain place. read more

I also ordered a Thai tea smoothie- it came with whip cream and sprinkles! My boyfriend ordered a veggie burger, which was also amazing! The owner said it was a family recipe. Delicious! The staff was very friendly and the cafes atmosphere was very cute! They sell boba also which is rare in Manteca. I liked everything, however there is a small menu and the list of what's available is kind of difficult to find. Other than those little things, loved it! I came solely for the boba tea given that Aroma is the only place I've heard of in the area that serves it. Like so many other food service establishments in the Lathrop and Manteca area, it is oddly overrated. In all my years of drinking pearl tea on a near daily basis between living in every corner of Asia and working in the Bay Area where there are plenty of good boba tea shops, I've rarely been disappointed in my drink. At worst, sometimes the tapioca is starchy and dense. Sometimes it's overcooked and mushy. Aroma's tapioca was a whole 'nother level of bad. The tapioca was somehow crunchy in texture and excessively sweet like it was over-steeped in syrup. The one guy working there was pleasant. You might have better luck with the other items on the menu, but don't come here for the pearl tea. read more

My husband and I frequent this place for our coffee fix a couple times a week. My favorite is their coffee-me-up drink with snickers. My husbands is the same but with Reese's instead of snickers. The owner is great and he's always very friendly when I go in. Drinks and service are great and it's reasonably priced! read more

This is so typical of someone who wants to open up a business but has no idea what to really do!? old patio furniture for inside seating, huge plants every where in a small seating capacity! no detail cleaning done, use of gloves but don't change them after handling cash?! take your chances! Very cute place, the Frappuccinos were wonderful better then Starbucks I had A Chocolate Mocha and my husband had Carmel. We also had tortas They were really good, quality meat and all fresh vegetables. I would highly recommend people to try this place....you will pleasantly surprised. I'm a foodie and I know good food. Great place! I love their Mexican mochas! A little bit on the chocolate-ly side, but I just go home and add extra soy milk to it later...and sometimes some of my instant organic coffee as well (way to get the bang for your buck, right?) I've tried a few of their sandwich/panini items on the menu and it's pretty good -with price into consideration. The side fruit included I think is canned fruit, but for the price you're paying, it's no biggy..especially since they include fresh pineapple/cantaloupe/banana slice on the side. The two guys that work here are nice. Sometimes they appear a bit shy or standoffish, but they do care about what you think of the drinks/food/etc. read more

We came in from searching for milk tea in Manteca on Yelp. Went by to order 4 drinks. Walking in, we immediately caught a whiff of fresh bread coming out of the oven and if we weren't planning to eat elsewhere already, I would've wanted to try a sandwich. My husband got 3 shots of espresso & drip coffee w/ cream and loved it. My kids both got smoothies, mango and strawberry, and they were dressed with whipped cream and matching sprinkles, which added a fun and personal touch to each drink. I ordered taro milk tea with boba. The boba was good, but my taro was just mixed with milk & ice. There was no hint of black or green tea. I was disappointed, but the people were so kind. When visiting Cafe Aroma, I mostly order only black coffee, but I have to say that I really enjoy their flavored lattes and frappes as well. The best part about this place is the owners. They have really added a great personal touch since purchasing this business. Between the decorative interior and pleasant interactive demeanor, it is apparent they really care about their customer's experience.
