Imagine my SHOCK when we found this spot when we were on our way back home from Oregon. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. Just a normal, family run cafe with cozy vibes. BUT you walk in and they have the most extensive menu you've ever seen! We came in looking for breakfast, thinking we'd be settling for some breakfast sandwich or burrito but they had Vietnamese food! Available at breakfast time! While I love a good eggs Benedict, nothing beats Asian comfort food for me. Service is super friendly and they were very patient as we kept changing our minds as we were conflicted on what we could eat during our limited time here. The spicy shrimp was soooo tasty. I do wish that the eggs were runny or something but that's in a perfect world. The vermicelli bowl was always very tasty and refreshing. Will be back if I'm ever passing through again! read more

Everytime I visit Manteca I always come here for a banh mi. Nice lil mom and pop shop and the owners/staff are always friendly and attentive. My family and I always order the special banh mi and it's a 10/10 always. The sandwich itself is thick and filling it usually last my family two meals but i be finishing it like a snack. They have other items on their menu other than banh mi, such as sandwiches, paninis, rice bowls, drinks, and smoothies. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well. My two youngest mentioned the Chinese sausage were hard, it was a challenge to penetrate with their plastic fork . Cambodian Nom Pang / Vietnamese Bahn mi ( sandwiches) with sour pickled daikon/ carrots , love it add so much flavor when combined with the fried eggs and American style sausage patties and the toasted crunchy bread. My vermicelli chicken bowl needs improvement , the noodles were a tad too al dente not as soft , the chicken were more bland in taste . I appreciate the the abundance of vegetables, the sweet / sour fish sauce dip really compliments the flavor My two eldest were impressed with their hot toasted sandwiches . This is a small joint in Manteca...but small means nothing! My work crew and I have ordered many times from Cafe Aroma...I've always did the ordering and sent the staff for pick up we usually order about 15-20 items not including drinks. This last time I went to do the pick up and I was so surprised how small the restaurant was..with only a few workers! Dang..the service everytime I call is mint! They will label everybody's order for me and get it right each time! The sandwiches salads and drinks are always fresh and never stale from sitting or even skimped on with the fixings..this place never disappoints! I got the BBQ chicken banh mi -- the chicken was perfectly moist, packed with fresh ingredients, and the bread was soooo soft (exactly how a banh mi should be ). I also grabbed a milk tea, and my daughter tried the taro with boba -- both were delicious and hit the spot. Service was friendly and quick, and the whole experience felt easy and welcoming. They also love my favorite team so go and check them out . I've lived here since 2018 and this is by far THE BEST place for Vietnamese iced coffee in Manteca . Does Cafe Aroma have the best Banh Mi in Manteca? I would have to say yes. This small family business serves some of the best sandwiches in the area. The service here is also so friendly and welcoming. I can see why this spot is so popular. It gives a cozy and homey feel. They also hang their kid's drawings on the wall which is really adorable also. When it comes to the food, it comes out quick and the quality as well as the quantity is top tier. I ordered the House Combo Banh Mi ($8) and Medium Iced Chai Tea Latte ($4.50). For the Banh Mi, they use really good bread and is crispy on the outside with each bite while being soft and fluffy inside. I loved it and they were super generous with the filling especially the veggies. There was plenty of pickled carrots and radish with cilantro and Jalapeños. The Chai Tea Latte being called Chai tea is funny because it reminds me of Pavitr Prabhakar from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse being triggered because it's like saying tea tea! Anyways, this was a solid chai latte. It was a little too sweet for my liking, but the staff is friendly and offers to make any adjustments if needed. You mainly come here for the sandwiches which is their specialty and I have to try more of their options especially the breakfast sandwiches which I hear good things about. This will definitely continue to be one of my go-to cafes in the Central Valley. read more

I ordered a black coffee and it was very strong and delicious, and I was surprised and delighted by the smoothness of the flavor. Although the gentleman who served us was very flat and seemingly uninterested in his role at the coffee shop, the other CUSTOMERS were very, very friendly, which I was pleasantly taken aback by. They greeted us with hello's when we walked up to the door (they were all seated outside) and then they said goodbye when we left. They were a small diverse group who may have all known each other, but either way, the exchange was warm and friendly. Most places now it almost feels like you are burdening the worker by buying their food. First of all, they were super friendly. They loved and doted on my 8 month old son. There were three people working - I think a family. The girl who took my order was super nice and answered questions I had about the menu. The guy who made my sandwiches offered me a bag specifically with handles because he saw my hands were full with my baby and other mom stuff. There was another lady who couldn't get enough of my kid. She was so genuinely sweet and asked us to come back. The breakfast sandwiches were also delicious! I got a bacon egg and cheese and then a bagel with cream cheese, avocado, tomato, and bacon. Super fresh and super good. They also have a bunch of coffee drinks to choose from. I chose a Vietnamese iced coffee and it was good! I'm addicted to the Jazzy sandwich. The best veggie sandwich ever. The owners are lovely family who provide great service and even better suggestions. I've been coming here for years and if I want a pick me up or don't have an appetite- I know I can rely on a yummy sandwich or milk tea to satisfy my mood. It can get crowded during lunch hours and have a long line but it is worth the wait and the owners will always communicate if it will run long or if they are out of ingredients and whether it can be subbed or if a different sandwich is recommended. My wife and I visited Cafe Aroma in July 2024. She had never been before, and I had visited 3-4 times prior to this experience. I understand they are now under new ownership. It's a quaint little place that a little difficult to find if you don't already know where it is. That being said, it's decorated with some art and very cute inside. It was a very hot day and it was noticeably a bit hot inside. Air conditioning would have been nice, but they did have fans on at least. Now on to the food. I ordered Pete's Panini. It comes with Ham, Pete's sauce, jalapeño, onion, bacon, and pepper jack cheese. It was very good and filling. Also came with a choice of side between mac salad, potato salad and a couple others. I let my wife choose and she chose the potato salad. She mentioned it was really good. For her meal, she ordered the tuna salad sandwich. It had fresh tomato slices, lettuce, and dill in the tuna and she mentioned it was very good! All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I went a lot when i was probably 20. im 27 now and remembered about the spot and decided to stop by today. The staff is so friendly!! The man taking my order was so sweet and nice to me! The location is small and there are a few tables outside but it's a nice little spot to relax . I ordered the breakfast burrito... now it was my first time . I had no idea what to order. Everything on the Yelp pictures looks good to me . But it was super early and the one item I didn't see pictured was the burrito . I had the breakfast burrito with sausage . At most it's 3 stars out of 5. Not great, not bad .... Just very bland . The cheese in it tastes like it didn't belong. The eggs /veggies not seasoned. The sausage did its job and gave it flavor .
