I was disappointed with my experience at Happy Lemon. I ordered the House Thai Tea because the menu clearly showed that it came with boba. When I received my drink, there was no boba in it. I asked one of the employees why it was missing, and she told me they could add boba, but I would have to pay extra. I was confused because the menu advertised the drink with boba, so I didn't understand why I was being charged more for something that appeared to be included. If boba is not included, the menu should make that clear instead of displaying the drink with it. Advertising a drink one way and then charging extra for what customers reasonably expect to receive is misleading. I hope they either update their menu to accurately reflect what's included or honor what is being advertised to avoid confusing future customers. read more

I don't drink Bubble Tea, but I like a good iced coffee. These places pop up so quickly that I haven't tried many of them. I stopped the other day just to cool down a bit from walking over 2 miles. There were no other customers in the shop. I started to look at the menu and I mentioned coffee and the person behind the counter mentioned VietNamese coffee with two different choices. Once I figured out what she said so quickly, I picked the puff cream option. The store seemed really clean and it's so bright and the person greeted me so cheerily, it almost didn't seem like Manteca. The drink was finished quickly and it was a big portion. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the worker up front :) There's 1 ipad to order on. I wish they had at least 2 b/c as soon as we walked in, then about 2 large families lined up behind us and I felt a bit of pressure to hurry up my order. The place was clean and vibrant. Our drinks came out shortly after. I love their cheese top w/green tea, 25% sweet and was perfect. Hubby likes the black tea with the halfed lemons in it. it'd been a while since we'd been to Happy Lemon and didn't recall which one it was but we made an educated guess. Seems they changed their cup design for the large because it's not a transparent cup anymore and instead one you use for hot coffees. Got home, and peeled the film to peek inside and no fresh lemon :( so that means either we picked the wrong drink, or they no longer add the whole lemon. Will ask next time to confirm. read more

The chocolate bubble waffle was scrumptious! As is the dragon fruit lemon slushy. I had gotten them when they first opened at 11a and when my kid got out of school, she was able to try the treats too and liked them. I had seen on yelps photo menu 5 months ago that the prices are a bit more now. The lady was kind enough to hear me out and show me that it has changed as well as answer my questions since it was my first time coming to a happy lemon. I've seen it everywhere and had never had a chance to stop by till now since it was close to my Quest appointment location. They are in a busy area so be careful with cars and pedestrians. Located near a McDonald's and wing stop which are very much known places people go. I do recommend this place as a special treat. It's really cute and clean inside with a few tables and a bathroom available. There is a whole lot more to just lemons here so a must try. I really even like the presentation of the drink and the wrap the bubble waffle was in. Definitely returning to treat my mini someday soon I added to my chocolate bubble waffle at home a chocolate brownie ice cream with 3 kinds of cereal toppings which made it even tastier. Me and the kids drove to Mcdo and I suddenly noticed a Happy Lemon signage and note on the door coming soon. I was sooooo happy and texted my hubby right away. They're extremely slow. Ordered ahead and when I arrived, I still had to wait over 20 mins for my order to be completed. There are only two workers here that I can tell, on an early Friday afternoon. I'm in only customer in the shop. There's KPOP music playing and ambiance is chill. Taste of drinks and bubble waffles aren't worth the wait TBH. The girl gave me a free taro cream for the waffles because I had to wait, so I guess that earns a star back for the tardiness... they only have ONE waffle iron, if you plan on ordering food, prepare to wait...A LONG TIME. ESP if you're not the only one here or if you order more than one food item. I believe as a business, if you're going to offer food items, you should at the very least have to anticipate high volume and provide staff with adequate tools to meet customer demands.
