If you have been in search for an oasis in the desert your search is over! With a calming and tropical atmosphere you will find an incredibly welcoming staff. They offer a Feature of the Day that does not disappoint. Try the fried zucchini with a Blackberry Iced Tea!

4 stars for a Midland restaurant! 5 stars for the view and atmosphere! It was a little humid at our table of 8 around 7pm, but they had fans on and we were right next to the Koi pond! 3.5 stars for the food. I ordered the crab cakes, which were decent for Midland but shameful in a larger city. Creme brûlée was delicious! We went on a night with live music, it was WAY too loud.

My friend knows me so well. When in town wanting to catch up while on a work trip, I asked her to pick a place for lunch. Low and behold, I enter an oasis of a nursery in the Permian Desert heat. It's a gorgeous, expansive nursery with all the foliage types you would expect and even some you wouldn't. In the middle of the gardens is a cafe! The menu was small but quaint. I ordered the chile relleno. It was a different take on the traditional chile rellenos I watched my mom make from scratch. The portion on the plate was a bit small but they made up for it with a sizeable refillable ice tea. The service was also very quick and polite. When in town I will definately meet up here, the plant lover that I am, it has the best scenery I could wish for.

I had lunch here and then came back for the weekly Thursday night live music. Awesome place to have a drink or lunch, can't beat the views!

The cafe at the gardens has a great atmosphere and unique environment. If you want a nice place to visit, while enjoying the outdoors this is where you want to go. I recommend going for dessert, the food can be hit or miss. I went on a busy Monday afternoon, so I won't hold the quality of food against them too hard. I just really wish my loaded baked potato soup was more creamy. I felt the potato and bacon chunks were a little more overwhelming than I am used to.

Never even got to sit down. Was given a 10-15 minute wait time. 20 minutes later got a text letting me know my table would be ready soon. Waited by the host stand for another 25 minutes before leaving because there would not be enough time to eat.

This place is great. Stopped here with my friend for lunch after she picked me up at the airport for a weekend in Midland. I love that this little place is located inside the nursery and you are surrounded by fresh green plants and flowers and a fountain with goldfish swimming. It's very relaxing. I ordered a sandwich and got the sweet potato fries which my friend insisted I try. She was right those fries are amazing. My sandwich was very good too though I can't remember the name of it. It came with avocado, bean sprouts, bacon and maybe turkey. I ordered it on a fresh warm croissant and it was DELICIOUS. We might eat here again before I head home to Virginia I liked it so much!

The reason it missed the 5-star mark with me was our waitress was slow to do everything. Even with taking our drink order. Then our food order. The worst was waiting for my final bill. And then she forgot our takeout box for my youngest. I don't know why she didn't have a greater sense of responsiveness with our party of 3, but it was like this the entire duration of our meal on July 25, 2026. It was super frustrating! The other reason I knocked off a star off was because the towel dispenser was depleted in the lone restroom. I had to flag down an employee with drenched hands. THE PROS I called about 20 minutes ahead of time to reserve a table because I knew this brassiere was on the small side. The lady on the phone was courteous and professional. If you have a hot date, I highly recommend reservations particularly in the evening. This seems like that sort of place. When we arrived, I found free street parking a short walk away. We were promptly greeted and seated. To enter the restaurant, you must go inside the Frost Bank tower's lobby, but to exit there is a door just beyond the bar. This place has beautiful, eclectic decor. The bar area was somewhat rounded and has an easygoing, but classy feel to it. THE FOOD The ambiance is what made this a great mother/daughters brunch date. The food sets it apart from the majority of restaurants in this oil industry town. The have East Coast-sourced oysters on the menu! These are far superior to their West Coast counterparts. I would have opted for these for our app if it weren't for my minions, I mean children. Pigs in a Blanket ($15.00) - yet another appetizer my daughters pigged out on that I didn't get to try. And they said they weren't that hungry! Lies all lies. They looked divine with nicely cooked juicy sausage and everything seasoning on the pastries. Avo Toast ($11.50) - my newly-turned teen daughter and I both had our own. I opted for eggs over easy which were cooked nicely. She oddly chose scrambled eggs for her, but she ate pretty much all of it. Smashed Burger ($17) - my youngest had this and said it was excellent. Nice touch with an American flag planted into the top bun. For the umpteenth time she did not share a fry with me. It is what it is. Mocha latte ($5.00) - my youngest's birthday which I will be missing since she'll be visiting her father is coming up so this was a treat for her. I tried it. Quite good after being thoroughly stirred. 1988 Martini ($18) - pricey but oh so good. The olives stuffed with bleu cheese were not bad. I had to try it even though the thought of bleu cheese kind of turned me off. Lol. Will I return? Of course because I have faith it will be 5 stars next time. Look at the other raving reviews! My husband ordered the bbq plate and it looked like something they served in heaven. It came with an apple cobbler. The cinnamon and nutmeg were so fragrant. And it melted in your mouth. What I liked about it was it was not too sweet. Perfect. His bbq plate looked delicious. The chicken thigh had a nice color, and great texture from the black pepper. It came with sausage and brisket, beans, and a jalapeño! Insanely good. I am so glad we stopped to eat here. I ordered a club with fries. They really underpromised and over delivered. I was expected a slice of deli meat but no, I was wrong. It was chopped chicken??? Bacon, lettuce, tomato, and perfectly buttered bread. And a lot of meat! You HAVE TO stop and eat here.
