First time coming here! I literally live down the street so we had to come and try it! At first I was a little sketchy when I got the açaí bowl because they use peanut butter sauce which I didn't like but I believe the owner said you can substitute for regular peanut butter!! So that's great! In the picture is the PB&S Smoothie it's peanut butter, banana, strawberry and almond milk! It was so good!!! We also had a veggie bagel and it was soooooooo good! Oh and a spinach and cheese croissant which was ok. I personally liked it but my sister didn't. She thought maybe it would be better with feta cheese. The customer service was great . The ladies were very kind! Which is a major plus for me. And I believe the owner was here too and he was also very nice. He cared about our opinion on the food which is awesome! Cafe Bella is so great! I just moved to El Cajon and am thrilled to see they are taking a chance on us! Their açaí bowls are awesome! They even have my favorite coffee drink- Vietnamese coffee!! Their breakfasts are good too! And the employees are so kind and do a great job with customer service! They are dog friendly with milk bone treats available, even at the drive-thru! Good coffee, even better smoothies. All the non-dairy options for an additional cost, but oat milk is the most expensive ($1.50). Food is good, and bagel/pastry selection is expansive. The people are polite and friendly, not incredibly talkative. Everything is good, but there have been a couple visits where the same drink is made differently. This is not an issue to me because I've been a barista and I understand, especially since they are new, but could be off-putting to some. Also, the drive thru system is a little awkward, but I also attribute it to them being newly opened. I think in a couple months they'll really have the hang of it. I really really wanted this to by my go to place instead of Starbucks ... I wanted to help support small business ..... I feel like I'm only writing this review in hopes of the owner seeing and maybe hearing what I'm saying . I had told the barista or the person working window that I had ordered a bagel and I couldn't even eat the bagel because it's was crunchy like not burned crunch but like old and crouton crunch ... it seemed like the bagel was kinda hollow and old ... I kindly told her just as a heads up since I have my own business I know I appreciate any feedback, but she legit just brushed me off as if I just wanted free stuff ( which was NOT THE CASE ) ... then I proceed to describe it to her like it wasn't edible and she basically didn't care . I was very disappointed to say the least ....oh well what can I say maybe they don't care enough . The only thing I feel like was good was the LOX bagel the 1st time I came, but the last 3 time ( me trying to give chances ) and coffee was made wrong , bagel wasn't edible and I was quite sad . Always fast and good service. Empanadas and bagels sandwiches are always a nice option if you're in a hurry.

So, I just saw that this cafe was down the Street from my house, about a week ago and I stopped by had an açaí bowl that was so good and since then I have gone already 3 times in the past week, so good! I've lived in El Cajon over the summer and this cafe Bella is one of my favorite coffee shops I have found by far & I'm so happy I did! I went here almost everyday & got the caramel macchiato. Not only did the management & staff always take the time to make sure my drink was made EXACTLY the way I like it, the coffee here is truly so delicious and bold! Was really enjoying my neighborhood coffee shop, until I went through the drive-through and the young lady at the drive-through her name was Alex didn't secure the lid on my hot coffee. It completely spilled all over me inside of my car. She apologized over and over which I appreciate, and did her best to help me clean it up. Contacted the owner about helping me out with the interior stains on my seats, he said he'd get back to me and never has. The young lady Alex did lie and tell him that she secured the lid that it was basically my fault. Is that how we do business? Definitely was getting to be my favorite place for an Oreo milkshake until I was driving to my job and as I was sipping it I noticed a piece of plastic as I took a sip, I brushed it off and thought to myself "maybe I didn't really see that"because I really enjoy the shakes and didn't want to have a negative look on them so I take another sip and yet again I taste another piece of plastic in the shake, at this point i take the plastic out my mouth , I was very frustrated and disappointed so I just threw the shake out the window shamefully because I just didn't want nothing to do with it or the establishment, I'd be lying if I didn't say every time I drive by because I do live in the area, that I'm not reminded of that bad experience. I stop here quite often & typically get their espresso (it's amazing); but decided to get an açaí bowl! It was given to me within 2 minutes of ordering (very quick) & the service was friendly! However the açaí was extremely icy & the granola was very soggy. It seems like the bowls were pre made and had been sitting for a long time. The açaí literally just tastes like ice. my husband and I went to get coffee this morning. Should have never gone. From the start it was all bad. Kept having to repeat the Order, had to wait over 10 mins. Then to top it off the lady at the window spilled the drink all over my husband, and the car. Not once did she apologize. Just made us park so she could remake the drink, and gave a handful of napkins. A different girl brought the drink out, and she didn't even apologize . I tried some of their smoothies. The mixed berry smoothie is great if you are looking for antioxidants with little to no sugar added. This smoothie was tasty and I felt rejuvenated immediately. My body was definitely telling me thank you. I also tried the strawberry, peanut butter and banana smoothie, also good, provided that protein kick with the peanut butter but did not overpower the taste of the strawberries and banana. My favorite was the Cafe Bellacino, I went with the mint mocha. I am very happy to say the mint was subtle and did not make me feel like I was drinking toothpaste. In other words they have the balance down right. Seems a bit pricey but the quality was there and I was not disappointed with my order. At this place you get the drink that is described.
