    Hammerhead coffee
    Graciela A.

Tried this little hidden spot while my son was at the orthodontist next door, so happy I found it! As soon as your walk in the smell of coffee just hits you and I loved it! I ordered the hammerhead which is their cold brew with expression shot ( yes I know!) address some oat milk and vanilla! It was so good and definitely have me a morning boost. My only complaint is that I would've liked a bit more ice as I didn't drink my coffee right away. The girls that were working were super friendly and welcoming as well!

This was my second time coming here, and I came back because I genuinely really liked this café the first time. I ordered a latte and was honestly shocked by the price of $3.64 for a 12oz latte in San Diego in 2026?! That's almost unheard of And the crazy part is it tasted just as good as some of the $6-7 lattes I've had around the city. I also got an everything bagel with cream cheese, and it was toasted perfectly. One thing I really like about this place is the seating setup. They have study bars, smaller tables, bigger tables for groups, and even some cozy couches up a few steps which makes the space feel a little unique. There are outdoor tables too if you want to sit outside. I really enjoyed my visit this time and ended up spending a few hours reading and getting some work done.

    Iced oatmilk matcha latte

First time visiting. I ordered an iced oatmilk matcha latte (half sweet). I'm not sure if it was the matcha or what, but their was an off putting flavor in the drink. I was only able to drink half before I just tossed it. (Btw I drink matcha lattes all the time from different places). The baristas were really friendly. I wasn't in the mood to ask for another drink. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Coffee is good. Service is quick. Ambience is nice and pleasantly quiet in the morning.

First of all, I like this place and hopefully this is constructive criticism and taken that way. I had my coffee which was delish, and my girls met me and we ordered a second time, almost $30 bucks. My daughter asked a couple of questions ( she's a former barista) Do you pull single or double shots? (Pretty easy question for coffee spots) They didn't know how to answer but she got it ordered. When it came out, it had very little cold foam, an extra she paid for. She was told, well, we're going to charge you extra? Wait, why, it came out w not enough foam. They added 1/2 & 1/2 instead versus charging again. Ok, whatever. While this was going my second daughter at the counter heard the staff talking about my first daughter. ( while she's in line) Really? Folks, it's only coffee and you're in the business of being nice to customers. Simple. I will take my order not being right because that's a reality and mistakes happen. But manners matter and there should never be a circumstance where you talk shade about any customer.

Wow! This place is so great! The vibe inside is awesome and the customer service is great. Not to the mention the Carmel Macchiato with oat milk was perfect! I also tried the Perky Turkey oh my goodness so freakin good! I will be returning! Definitely deserves 5 stars

The service was friendly and fast. This was our first visit but won't be our last! We enjoyed our drinks and plan to try some other things on the menu. The coffee was delish, I enjoyed it more than my usual order from Starbucks - my friend loved her chai. We will be back

Toast is nicely toasted and evenly spread with the Tuxedo iced coffee!! Delicious!!

It's hard to find a good coffee shop now and days! This coffee is amazing, i ordered the avocado toast on artisan bread, cream cheese, topped with everything bagel toppings!! Delicious, and the service is fast wonderful! Definitely coming back! Thank you Kaylin!

Another local Santee coffee shop. I'm 80 percent of the time at the Starbucks (SB) down the street but this is a good alternative. Baristas were friendly, great cold brew, and they have some sandwich and pastry options here. I went with a Belgian waffle. They have some food options SB doesn't. Good spot to support small local business.

We dropped my cousin off at his appointment and decided to sit in the coffee shop and wait for him. This cafe offers coffee, juice, pastries, acai bowls, and sandwiches. They have a seating area that's in the corner of the room, looks like a nice place to read or work. Service was great, order at the counter and they will call you once ready.

    Cinnamon Roll and Genieva Blended

I came to try this place out after an appointment in the area, and overall, I'd say it's ok. Their latte flavors are interesting so if I'm in Santee and craving coffee again then it's a maybe to see what else they have to offer! My highlight was the avocado toast, the bread was perfectly toasted and the flavor was all there. The blended Genieva was... ok. A little underwhelming. It was sweet which was to be expected, but I was surprised to taste practically no coffee at all. Kinda just tasted like milk and syrup blended with ice so it was a little disappointing, but next time I may add an extra espresso shot or two. The cinnamon roll... was sad :/ Cold and stale. It said it came with icing but I was given none. I took one bite when I got home and tossed the whole thing. Sucked because my whole order came out to around $20 and I only really enjoyed 1/3 of it. If I make my way back I'll probably skip the pastries and try out an açaí bowl and an iced latte!

Had the genieva and it was ok. Expected more of a toffee thank milky taste but overall good cup of coffee. Very interesting flavors offered. Lemon raspberry muffin is very good. Moist and full of flavor. Really like this place to work away from home. Look forward to finding the drink that's right for me here!

Took my son here this afternoon ordered something that's supposed to be extremely powerful. Ended up being regular coffee ice cubes and whipped cream. What a disappointment. The place is packed. It obviously serves other things that are nice.

Inside the shop they allowed people to bring their own trading card collection to trade with each other. They had specialty drinks made specifically for the show, Pokemon themed. There's a good amount of seating inside and seems like a good place to hang out or study. They have different books and board games around the shop too. I tried two drinks when I came. I got the coconut matcha because it was one of the themed drinks but wasn't impressed with it. I probably should've known better than to order matcha at a coffee shop but I'm a sucker for coconut. For my second (redemption) drink I got the Samoa which was a mocha, coconut, and caramel latte. This one was delicious. It had a great coffee flavor with a nice smooth caramel companion. It wasn't overly sweet and not bitter at all. The baristas were all great too. My drinks came out quickly despite it being busy with the show. Definitely a great coffee shop to check out!

Becky and I are not well versed in the world of fancy coffee, so we typically rely on those we are with to provide recommendations. Saturday we were on our own. We wanted a late afternoon pick-me-up and Kaffee Meister is a very short distance from our house. I walked in and was warmly greeted by the pleasant young woman behind the counter (I did not catch her name). I asked for two caramel iced coffees. She very nicely and patiently explained to me the different options of my generic "iced coffees" term. Lattes, cold brews, espressos, etc. Her recommendation was Caramel Frappes, so that is what I ordered. One with whipped cream (for Becky) and mine without. As I waited, I looked around the room. It was really cool. Very homey, neighborhood cafe vibe. A few tables and a couch and comfy chairs along with some tables and chairs dotted the room. The room was really nicely decorated. I liked the spiral staircase shelving. They have some outdoor seating as well. In addition to coffees, they offer a food menu. Pastries, bagels, açaí bowls, sandwiches and the like. I drive by Kaffee Meister almost daily and often I will see that they have live music which is cool. I waited maybe three or four minutes for my name to be called, and I was handed my two frappes. I like a simple cup o' Joe. Black, no sugar, no sweeteners. At home I drink Kirkland brand ground coffee from a drip coffee maker. That said, I really enjoyed the Caramel Frappe. It was not too sweet and retained subtle coffee flavor. Becky very much enjoyed hers too. Neither of us had ever had a frappe before. We were surprised by the milkshake-like creamy texture. They provided the perfect pick-me up we were looking for. About 17 bucks after tip. We'd return for sure.

If you're from tj they are like the tortas at the "car wash" next to giussepis. If you know you know. Very nice sized bread, toasted on both sides with a chipotle sauce, fresh jalapeños, lots of avocado, the steak was fresh and delicious. Half a torta was enough to get me through for a while and now I have a great evening snack after Jiu Jitsu. Owner said the chicken torta was even better. Hard to believe but maybe I'll get one for the wife. They have Acai with champs like a Mangonada. It's a pretty cool spot that could become a staple if enough people find it.

Esmeralda, who made my order, was so friendly and welcoming, guiding me through the menu and letting me know that the Birria grilled cheese is a favorite. Now, about the sandwich--wow! It also came with a side of consomé for dipping, along with a refreshing lime slice, which complemented the flavors perfectly. Fruitylicious offers a fantastic range of options since they've transitioned from being a cheese grill sandwich place to a full-service spot with both Mexican and American cuisine.
