The snow bubble drink is the consistency of a shaved ice with milk. You can choose from quite a few milks like whole, coconut, oat, and more. You can choose the level of sweetness you like from full sweet, 50% sweet, or 25% sweet so it's perfect every time because I don't like it too sweet. They have a whole selection of boba you can add to your drink so the combinations to these drinks are endless. They also have a happy hour when you can get discounted drinks which makes it a really good deal. So far all of the cashiers have been friendly and super helpful when I ask them questions. A little gem located in the Ralph's shopper center. The inside decor was neat and the store is very clean. The staff was so so on friendliness, but didn't take away from the experience. In the area saw the reviews so I stopped by with my daughter. She got the lychee green tea with popping boba. I got the mango green tea. I asked for mine half sweet, it didn't tasted half sweet and was really sweet. I tried my daughters and hers was super sweet. The sweetness overpowered the tea flavor. Great place for Boba in Rancho San Diego. One of the first to arrive and still thriving! They have something for everyone; desserts, coffee, boba and etc. Not sure what to get? They have a big menu with everything to choose from. Like sweetness, style, drinks and ice level. The staff can help guide you for a good drink. I've had two drinks so far; a tiger milk tea with rainbow jelly and an horchata milk tea with cheese foam and brown sugar syrup. The tiger milk tea is good if you like less sweet drinks but for my sweet tooth, the horchata was exactly what I was looking for. The cheese foam was salty which was nice but a bit rich. The brown sugar syrup was absolutely delicious and i'll probably add that to every drink from now on. The spot is quiet and casual, with some cute elements to it. Service is super quick too. Service was terrible. Walked in and was not acknowledged. No one was there and the workers were just standing around. I wasn't served for 10 minutes - wearing bright colors so I'm not hard to miss. I don't come here often but this was a great surprise! I wanted to switch up my go-to drink since I always go for their matcha snow bubble or matcha milk tea. Shout out to one of their workers named Janzler, he was really helpful! He offered me a LOT of recommendations to try, but the one that stuck out the most was the Caramel Macchiato. I was hesitant at first since it was a coffee drink and I'm not really into, but he was really nice and offered me what toppings go best with it, and how sweet it could be. WOW! Customer service models! Loved being greeted as soon as I walked in..."Hi Welcome!" is their greeting and the workers were super sweet. I had a challenge figuring out what I wanted and they helped craft the perfect drink. Not too strong, not too sweet. Perfect! I watched them interact with other customers and you can tell that there are regulars. They know their drinks before they even order. That is loyalty to the customer! My friends and I wanted a quick afternoon boba before heading off to meet other friends. Since we're from the Bay Area, we searched for nearby boba spots on Yelp and it lead us to Vanitea. The shop is located in a plaza so there's lots of parking. It's a small shop that's very cute - a couple of instagrammable walls so of course I had to take a photo of my drink! They've got a huge menu with drinks for everyone - snow bubble, milk teas and teas, coffee, and slushies. I went with the brown sugar milk tea ($5.50), 50% sweet, and added boba (+$1). An additional dollar felt like a lot to add for some boba but I know we're far past the days of cheaper boba drinks. The drink tasted more like a brown sugar fresh milk drink rather than a milk tea. I just wasn't getting the tea flavor. It is was still kinda sweet so I bet if I got it at regular sweetness, it would've been very sweet. I did like the boba though! It's different than the honey boba that I've usually gotten at other boba shops, it's more tapioca (if that makes sense) - chewier, lighter, and a little less sweet. My partner was wanting a boba tea so we went to nearest boba spot. I ordered a Large Iced Lavender Milk Tea based on the staff recommendation. I was indecisive about ordering the Lavender or Rose Milk Tea. She suggested that I ordered the Lavender Milk Tea because it was sweeter. It tasted like a good herbal tea, however the lavender flavor was mute. She was not wrong about how sweet it is. In my personal opinion it was too sweet for me. I typically order my drinks at 25% sugar level. I wasn't offer a sugar level so I didn't think to lower the sugar. My partner ordered the Captain Crunch Snow Bubble. Overall he did like the beverage. He didn't taste the Captain Crunch flavor, though. The establishment was clean. An average size boba shop. A single co-ed bathroom stall. I didn't notice if the shop also offered food items. Strawberry banana smoothie: I thought was pretty decent but my friend who ordered it didn't like it and said it didn't have enough flavor Chamango smoothie: Again I thought it was a decent drink. I didn't get any of the tajin but the mango part was good. According to my friend it was kinda hard to get an even mouthful of mango to tajin ratio. While they accept online orders, we ordered in person and received our drinks in a few minutes. Sugar levels could be adjusted to 25% or 50% upon request. =ORDERED= *Match'ata Milk Tea: our favorite of the three. Not overly sweet and the predominant flavor came from the matcha with a cinnamon undertone. I got the drink with boba which was underwhelming. It was a bit undercooked, resulting in tough, tasteless balls. *Cotton Candy Snow Bubble: incredibly sweet despite lowering the sugar level to 50%. Strangely resembled Pepto Bismol. *Strawberry Slush: disappointingly not fruity. Tasted like pure syrup and artificial strawberry flavoring. Not tart in the slightest. Service was decent. Not too friendly but our order came out correct. In comparison to other boba spots in SD, this wasn't my favorite. Really good boba! Their speciality is their "Crystal Honey Boba" really good, just a lighter taste than regular boba I think. We got the Reese's pieces snow bubble, fruity pebbles snow bubble, and milk tea - all less sweet. We don't usually ever get anything full sweet, so we love the boba shops that offer sweetness levels. Less sweet was perfect for us. Wanted to get some macarons too but will save for another trip - but they had great flavors such as blueberry lemon, fruity pebbles, and ube. Such a needed type of delicacy shop in east county! They have the ease of ordering online. No seating inside but still got a few inside shots when we picked up. So cute! Oh my gosh. I've been to countless cafes, this has been the best one I've been to in the 24 years of existing.
