    09.03.23 Crab Rangoon
    Harlee S.

A delicious hidden gem, right next to CSU. Serviced by what I assume to be college kids, we had a pleasant experience and were treated nicely. Crab Rangoon. They were ultra creamy and had just the right amount of crisp and crunch. Chicken Green Curry. I love a good green curry and this was good. However, the sauce was a little too liquidy and they were skimpy on the bell peppers. All in all, a great Thai spot to choose from in the area.

Chicken pad Thai. Good, but not great.

On this trip I had the chicken pad Thai, it was pretty good but it wasn't the best pad Thai I've had. The sauce seemed a little sticky rather than saucy so there was a texture issue for me. I was surprised to see the peanuts and the peppers on the side instead of sprinkled over it which made it a little cumbersome to evenly distribute it myself. The waitperson was attentive and informative and kept an eye on us during our meal.

I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I got the Tom yum noodle soup which is so flavorful and filling. It's a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal and the service is fast and accommodating. Plus, it's not too pricy and the portions are perfect! Highly recommend!

My 1st time at this restaurant was a year ago while visiting the Fort Collins area. I really enjoy thai food and have tried various restaurants in a lot of different areas. This place is a hidden gem. My husband and I were traveling through Colorado again and had to stop for lunch. We had the pad se-ew and the northern style curry noodle (kao soi), for dessert we shared the mango sticky rice. Everything was cooked to perfect the chicken in the curry dish was so tender, the curry was flavorful and the spice was the perfect amount. I can't wait to visit again!

I was in the mood for big, bold flavors. I will get those flavors next time I go. I ordered medium spice (3+ out of 5), but it wasn't very spicy at all. Maybe it is due to the location near the college campus, but I have ordered medium spice at other Thai restaurants and the dish has made me sweat. That said, the Massaman Curry was delicious, especially after I added some chili oil. My son had Drunken Noodles and practically licked the plate clean. My other son had the Tom Yum Soup and loved it. I would recommend planning on appetizers or dessert as the portions are not huge. However, the price was appropriate. I usually have leftovers at Thai restaurants, but I ate every bite. In some ways, that is a good thing, but I love leftover curry and rice! The service was fast and friendly. We were there at the last hour they were open and we never felt rushed with our meal. I would definitely return to Cafe De' Bangkok.

    Pad Se-ew. Nice flavor.

Very salty and the vegetables were undercooked & cut really large for some reason. The interior was kind of old and dim as well.

If you're anywhere near Fort Collins and haven't tried Kujira Ramen, you're missing out…read more I went all in: gyoza, pork belly steamed buns, and Tonkotsu Ramen -- and every single bite was absolutely unreal. The gyoza came out perfectly pan-seared -- crispy on the bottom, tender on top, and packed with flavor. That dipping sauce had just the right balance of salty, tangy, and savory. You could easily crush two orders without trying. The pork belly steamed buns were next-level. Soft, pillowy buns wrapped around rich, melt-in-your-mouth pork belly. The balance of fat, sweetness, and sauce was perfect. Messy in the best possible way. And then the star -- the Tonkotsu Ramen. The broth was deep, creamy, and packed with flavor -- that slow-simmered richness that tells you it was done right. The noodles had the perfect bite, and the pork was tender and seasoned beautifully. Every spoonful made you slow down just to appreciate it. Hands down one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Clean atmosphere, great service, incredible food. 10/10 -- already planning the next trip back.

But they were also fairly quick with the appetizers that we tried. The barbecue tofu was surprisingly delicious with a great texture and yummy sauce. The Gyoza was also a fan favorite with a light crispy bottom and a good filling. We tried two different ramens with two different proteins. The beef was a bit, tough and dry, but the chashu was nice and soft like melting in your mouth. The broth was also good and the noodles were nice and thin. Overall, I felt like this was a nice bite to eat and definitely filling. The only thing I felt that was lacking was the service on refilling water. I would definitely come back if I was around the area. They definitely got busy pretty quick.

I'm giving three stars because I know how damaging a one-star review can be for a small business,…read moreand I've had good meals here before. The noodle dishes at Beijing Noodle have been solid in the past. Unfortunately, the soups were really bad. My husband ordered the beef and broccoli soup and I ordered the wonton soup with noodles. Both broths were extremely watered down and completely lacked flavor. Mine tasted like pork water with seaweed. We kept taking a few bites hoping the flavor would show up, but it never did. Neither of us finished our bowls - we each had a small serving and threw the rest away. For about $40 for two soups and potato pancakes, it was a pretty disappointing meal. My takeaway: stick with the noodles here and skip the soup.

My friend comes in here a lot as he lives nearby, is Chinese, and knows the owner. We had tried a viral noodle spot in Denver the night before that was twice the price and half the flavor. Beijing noodle really hit the mark! There is a row of parking outside, and we had no problem finding a spot on a Saturday afternoon. We saw in a cozy booth, and the owner himself takes care of the customers. Everything feels so authentic. I started with a hot tea, which really hit the spot and the potato salad, which had the perfect amount of flavor, balance, and not too much soy sauce like in some places. We also tried the cabbage, the scallion pancake, the oil spill noodles, and the Henan gravy noodles. You really can't go wrong, they were some of the best I've ever had, my only desire was that they would put more meat on the noodle dishes. The tiny chunks were so scarce and left me wanting more in every bite. I would have also loved more scallions in the scallion pancake. But it was perfect to dip in the noodle oil and really soak up that flavor and juiciness. Everything was divine, the prices cannot be beat, the ambience feels clean and genuine, and there's nothing better than the feeling of supporting a local family business. I could also see that they have received many awards on recognitions from Yelp and other publications celebrating their food and longstanding presence in Colorado. Can't wait to come back, maybe next time I'll ask for double meat

Her recommendations to try anything here are spot on. The food was A1. We had a soup bowl Koi-sho (sp?) with beef, a chicken Thai basil stir fry, crab cheese, and spring rolls. We only regret we can't return in the near future, because we don't live in Colorado. It was completely worth the trip across town from our hotel to enjoy authentic food. The ingredients were fresh, the sauces were put together with expertise, the presentation was just right. I thought the spice level of 1 was perfect--heat that didn't overwhelm the other flavors. My husband didn't complain about his level 2. He thought it was great, but he wouldn't go higher. Anyway, somewhere I'd heard relatively good things, so I stopped in for take-out when I found myself on this side of town. It was well into the dinner hour but the place was relatively empty - just a couple of people at one table. In retrospect, I should have taken this as a sign. I ordered one of my go-to dishes - pad see ew - and decided to try the fried tofu as an appetizer. I am struggling to find anything positive to say, so I'll just give it to you straight. The pad see ew had barely any broccoli, which to me is essential to the dish. I ordered it with beef - they used steak, but it was cut into tiny pieces and tough - cooked too fast and too well done most likely. The tofu was deep fried hard - as in there was a really hard crust - and it was packaged with absolutely no garnish, just the hard blocks of tofu and a container of sauce. I'm not sure if they've recently changed ownership or if I caught them on a bad day - it just seems weird to me that my experience was so contrary to all of the other reviews. I may give them another chance, but I can't say that I'm going to hurry back.
