Nice cafe with decent food.
Decided to stop here for dinner outside as the reviews online appeared good. Note: there is a full menu for the inside that you need to ask for if you want to have dinner outside. Otherwise you just get the snack menu
Had the French onion soup because there were a lot of positive reviews. It's better than the average North American version as those are universally too salty. This wasn't. The flavour of onions could have been stronger though.
We made the tartare our appetizer and it's a big dinner sized portion. Well made with nice pickley flavour.
Wife had a bacon burger which was clearly a packaged patty. It was ok though and decent size.
We had orange duck as our main and it was a touch overcooked. Flavour was decent but could be a bit more orange forward.
Service was polite and friendly. read more
