If you are staying near the beach in St. Augustine then you may want to try this place out for a meal. I went for breakfast on a Sunday morning with my parents. When we walked in we were greeted by a few of the workers. We were then told that Sunday is "brunch" day. I was ok with that. For about $10 a person you get a brunch buffet. We were seated promptly and directed to the buffet line. This is where it gets interesting. I believe at night this place has live music since the buffet was up on a stage; yes, a stage. No big deal. The buffet also reminded me of how you would expect a potluck be set up. This was clearly a stationary buffet. I walked up the stairs and was greeted by the "pancake maker" (he also makes omelettes). I was able to request a banana pancake! Wonderful. While he was making my pancake I began to check out the rest of the food. They had toast, bagels, muffins, french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and hash browns. This was a pretty decent spread of food if you ask me. I am sure they had other stuff, but I can't remember it all. Oh, yes-they also had a bowl of fruit. Refreshing fruit. I had time to fill my plate up with some other goodies and as I went to sit at the table my pancake was done and he brought it over to me. How sweet! It was a really good pancake. In fact, it was so good that I went to request another. This time I asked if he could put in strawberries, blueberries, and bananas-he did! What a champ! The coffee bar had a nice selection as well and the service behind the counter was great. The atmosphere was a little underdone; probably hasn't been updated in years. I could tell there were some locals in the restaurant and of course there were tourists.It was a nice mix of customers. On my way out the door I asked for water to go and they were very quick to get a cup ready for me! Kudos to them for such a good experience. read more

Headed home and I decided to take the beach and found this place on yelp. Locally owned was the main reason I stopped in. I had a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on an everything "bagel". It was ok the sausage was a link cut in half which I thought was odd but it did fill me up. SUPPORT LOCALS!!! read more

Enjoying breakfast at Cafe 11. Wife had the veg omelet - I had the Cafe 11 omelet. Came with potatoes and toast. Good selection of coffee - serve yourself. Staff is very friendly. Only neg was the toast was a bit dry (if you are English it's just like you like it). Nice local place worth a visit if you are in St Augustine Beach read more

Great variety for Saturday/Sunday Brunch. Made to order pancake and omelet stations. Had raspberry pancakes this morning that were wonderfully tasty! Have stopped in for weekday breakfasts too. The Scrambler is one hearty meal. Love the A Frame Datil Pepper sauce! It's great on eggs. Anxious to stop in for lunch or dinner sometime, if we can get past breakfast! Guess we could do all our meals there. LOL. Happy Hour daily from 3 to 7pm. This place is reasonably priced, casual and the wait staff are cheery and friendly. What more could you ask? read more

We ate here 2 times in our 3 days stay at the beach. I think it's a great spot for everyone as they have a lot of variety. Whole leaving the town we ate brunch here - I ate the burrito (which they made vegetarian on my request) and wifely tried the buffet: everything we tried was good. Still it's not 5/5 as the ambiance is not that great, but it's not bad for a local joint by any means. read more

Enjoyed a great breakfast. Today it was only the buffet but the good thing was they had made to order omelettes & pancakes. I'm not a pork eater & of course that's all they had for meat but I get get a veggie omelette & it was delicious, fresh fruit, cheesy grits, muffins, bagels, plantains (it's a sweet fruit). I'll definitely come back and would like to suggest they offer turkey or chicken sausage/bacon . But before I go I had to try the key lime pie! read more

We enjoyed our lunch at Cafe Eleven. I got the pork BBQ sandwich with pasta salad on the side. The sandwich was huge and good and the pasta salad was excellent. They were still serving breakfast as well when we went and my wife got an omelet which she said was excellent. My teenage son got a Cuban sandwich with a side order of beef sliders. It was gone before you could say Cafe Eleven. The staff was friendly and what we saw of the restaurant was clean. We chose to sit outside at a table with an umbrella. It was just before noon in July and it was actually quite comfortable outside. To order you go inside and order at the counter and receive your drinks. You the take a number and go find a table. I did think the wait for food was a little longer than average but it was no big deal. After all, you are at the beach and you should take a little extra time and leave the rush back home. It made for some nice conversation between my wife, son and I. I recommend that you give Cafe Eleven a try. It's a little on the expensive side for what you get, but it's at the beach. No restaurant at the beach is fighting to undersell another at the beach. We enjoyed our meal and will likely make another stop here before we leave the beach. read more

My wife and I went to Cafe 11 to see the comedian Brad Upton. As we were traveling about 2 hours to the venue, I wanted to confirm that we could grab a bite to eat before the late show. A young lady I spoke with earlier in the day by phone said that certainly we could eat. Upon arrival we were informed that food service was only available outside. The young man at the door mentioned a place down the street where we could have dinner while we waited for the show to begin at 9:45. Upon returning we discovered that the pre-paid seats did not match the seating chart, luckily other more comfortable seats were available. Now to the meat of the this review. These folks are really proud of their drink prices (sarcasm). Bud Light Draft beer in a 6oz plastic cup, $6. An iced Vanilla Chi tea Latte in a 8oz plastic cup, just shy of $7. And last, a smaller than a cupcake Chocolate/peanut butter type cake (which was pretty good), $7. $30 with tax and tip. Looking over the rest of the menu on line, I wasn't overly impressed with the food selection (or the prices for what they offered). In their defence the place is fairly small and from catching a glimpse into what appeared to be a kitchen, they don't have a lot to work with. Will NOT be returning for any future shows at this venue. read more

Café Eleven features a wonderful breakfast buffet on the weekend in St. Augustine Beach. They do not offer their regular breakfast menu as they offer only a buffet. They offer mimosas and Bloody Mary's at a very low price for all you brunch freaks, but for those of us who don't like to drink before noon, they offer just a breakfast. The buffet consists of fruit, grits, biscuits and gravy, two types of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes along with an omelet station and pancake station. Everything that we ate was to our liking and the pancake station was something that I haven't seen before that I really liked. Café Eleven doubles as a small concert venue and the buffet is actually served up on the stage, which is sort of cool. The entire staff was very nice and although it was a buffet, they were active and removed plates and refilled drinks promptly. You can't beat the price for what you get and you can pick and choose what you want so that you're happy. We came right at opening time, which turned out to be smart play without us knowing it. Around 9:00 am there was a solid wait for a table and like I mentioned, it also serves as a concert venue so there is a lot of seating both inside and outside. This is an excellent breakfast spot if you're staying on St. Augustine Beach. read more

One star for the lunch menu but ambiance and short wait made it a bit better Breakfast seems to also taste better than the lunch we had. We ordered the Chicken Wrap and Pesto pizza and both of them taste so watery and bland. The tomatoes on the pizza were so watery I could not taste any of the pesto. The wrap was okay but definitely not worth the much money. read more

Had Sunday brunch/breakfast for two (Cost $24.). This was the worse buffet breakfast food I have ever had since boot camp! Both me and my wife grazed over 3-4 items we put on our plate and both just got up and left. Went down the road to another restaurant. read more

SLOW! On the positive side, the place is pleasant and the staff, very friendly. However, it took them 45 minutes to bring out our food, which was 2 sandwiches and 2 smoothies. Except, they had forgotten the smoothies and only made them after only the sandwiches came out and we asked. The tomato soup was half shredded cheese on top. With that amount of cheese added, the cheese should be somewhere on the menu. The BLT sandwich came with ONE slice of tomato and only in one of the halves. The tempeh sandwich wasn't bad. Place is overall just OK. Again, wait staff is very nice. read more

Honestly a lot better than I was expecting. Based on other reviews and photos alone I wasn't expecting anything too spectacular, and it still wasn't, but it definitely exceeded expectations. We ordered online for carry out and the process couldn't be more simple. The food was ready as soon as I arrived and I was able to prepay online. Overall I had a pretty pleasant experience here. read more

Cafe Eleven hosted our work Christmas party on December 11th. There was about 45 of us, so their space was perfect for our group. The staff was great. They were super friendly and attentive. The food was very good. They set it up for us buffet style. For apps we had Grouper fingers, potato skins, meatballs, cheese platter, fruit platter, and salad. Then for the main course we had Mahi, which was cooked with lemon & pepper. It was delicious. We also had Prime Rib, Chicken Marsala, Wild Rice, Mashed Potatoes, and Bread. All the food was great. We've had our Christmas party at a few different places and I think this was the best venue we have ever chosen. The space was perfect and the food was on point. Great little spot walking distance from my hotel. Nice people waited on me, made them decide my breakfast and my was delicious! Would definitely go back. My only knock would be that's it's hard to hear if there are a lot of people. Which it was cool to see a running club of like 20 people here at that time. There is some outside seating which I should have taken advantage of as it's sunny out!. Beers on tap for lunches too! read more

This is the place to go if you like salads. Great, friendly service by Victoria, who really knows the menu. Enjoyed our table outdoors, which was shady at 2 or 2:30 PM; the building blocked the sun. Greatest variety of salads. I ordered the "NEW" salad and asked them to add blackened salmon to it and hold the cheese. The result was perfection. I enjoyed the pistachio nuts and grapes, and the salmon was cooked to perfection, really moist on the inside and very tasty. A perfect lunch; I would go there again and again if I lived nearby. My husband and I, along with my adult daughter, visited this cute place for breakfast today. You are greeted immediately by a friendly voice asking that you take a menu at the front stand and place your order at the register when you have decided on your order. This is the worst place to go as a restaurant. First you have to get in line to order your food and staff seems to love to make that statement, order before setting down. Just having that moment to deal with a place trying to reinvent the wheel for service. When your on vacation thinking your going to a local restaurant and have to deal with this attitude and not being served is really bad. Waiting over 1/2 hour for two breakfast meals. Staff not making sure your having good time. Like a bunch of surfers trying out the restaurant business and don't know how to do it. read more

The food was good and served quickly and the staff friendly. The interior needed a bit of up keep however.... and the bathroom yikes. Do not go in there. They have bands and serve beer in the evenings and I get that that is different than say breakfast. But the bathroom reminded me of a dive bar, not clean and not maintained. read more

This is a difficult review to write. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. My husband and his grandmother and I came here for my birthday brunch on a Sunday. We arrived around 9:30-10 which should be peak brunch time but the place was fairly empty. Service was a bit disorganized. I ordered hot tea and my husband ordered coffee and it seemed unclear if we were supposed to wait at the counter or go sit down and have it brought to our table. Since the staff didn't appear to be in a hurry to get our beverages we sat down but then had to go back up to ask for our drinks later since they never arrived. They certainly had every breakfast type item that you could want for a brunch yet somehow none of it was all that good. The made-to-order stuff seemed like the best of the available choices. The other stuff seemed like it had been sitting around too long and wasn't the greatest quality. I would rather have fewer options but better quality. I don't need muffin's, bagels and toast. Pick one of those options, make it really fresh and high quality and it will show. Love the overall idea of this place, the interior decor is great. Overall we enjoyed our experience and I really want to support a local place. I would give it another try, maybe not brunch though. read more

Came in on a day they only had a buffet for breakfast. It was a slight upgrade from the one I passed up at the hotel. Only upgrade was the omelet station. Staff was not friendly and seemed like they didn't want to be there. I asked for a water and was pointed in the direction of a counter that had some on it. read more

The Egg's Benedict is divine - that is why I keep going even though I sort of dread going in. The experience is never very good. So, maybe to my benefit in the future, imma offer free consultin'; see whatcha gotta do is get more folks in the front of the house makin' all those drinks you advertise. I think the back of the house is most likely tops because the food is fast and delicious, but the front of house service is all kerfluffled - you dont have to bleed labor costs either; pay the front of the house server wages after you replace that POS system you got with one of those POS systems that swivels and looks like an Apple tablet. Your new POS system has big buttons for tips that sort of make people feel obligated to tip whether they were plannin' to or not ... this way your new front of the house labor pool makes more money than they did and they dont look or feel dumbie workin' for ya. And I get my cappuccino before my food. Also - spring for Heinz ketchup: The cheap stuff has cardamom in it. read more

The weekend breakfast buffet is where it's at here! The pancakes are made to order (try the chocolate chip and walnut) and they were delicious! To top it off there tropical smoothie which has a mix of fruits, yogurt and honey is one of my top smoothie recommendations there! Ambience was great! read more

I make sure to always pass by for breakfast every time I'm in town. Been there multiple times and I love it. Their breakfast buffet is always great, very authentic southern breakfast. They even have bubble tea! My only complain is that the hostess and some of the workers aren't as friendly as you'd expect. read more

The service showed a real lack of knowledge and attentiveness. When I ordered whole milk for my coffee, the response was essentially "is half and half okay?" -- no, it is absolutely not okay. These are completely different in taste and calories, and it's not a reasonable substitute to casually suggest. What made it worse: oat milk, almond milk, and whole milk were all visibly sitting in the fridge right there from where I was seated at the bar. Zero effort to offer what was clearly available. The atmosphere didn't help either. The space feels like someone started building a café concept and never finished thinking it through. It's uninviting, disorganized, and oddly off -- not warm, not designed with the customer in mind. Nothing about the food, the presentation, or the space gives you a reason to choose this place over anywhere else. Not particularly tasty, not nicely decorated, not a vibe. Not sure what keeps people coming back, honestly.

It was very good, but I would try something different on a return visit. The salads coming out looked amazing!
