Tried their taro milk tea for the first time the other day and now I'm addicted. It was so good. I've already gone back and now keep wanting to go. The place was very cute inside and had lots of crochet items for purchase. I would highly recommend.

Beary Boba is super cute inside with lots of adorable aesthetic trinkets and plenty of seating. The guy working was very helpful and kind. My drink came out super quickly and had the perfect amount of sweetness. I haven't tried the donuts but they had a wonderful selection and they looked very fresh. Would definitely recommend.

Yummy milk tea and honey tea! It is a great place to get good boba! Service was great and they even have little tables to sit at!

My son and I love to get our Boba here. There are tons of options to choose from and customizations to make your drink exactly how you like it! We always get fast and friendly service and the restaurant is super cute inside.

When I heard that Beary was making Mochi doughnuts I was excited to go try! And in my head I'm thinking, about time Jax! lol! Other cities have had these treats for a long time! Lol ok rant over..... anyways to the doughnuts! Walking in it's very cute and minimalist I would say, only 6 flavors of doughnuts and drinks...we just ended up getting all 6 flavors of doughnuts and also 2 boba teas. Ran us about $30ish? A bit pricy but also this is something you can't get many places in Jax. We sat down to eat and dove into the mochi doughnuts and yummy, yum! I loved the great chewy texture and the glaze was not too sweet, I really liked that. Surprisingly I really liked the Matcha one, where that's not usually a fav for me but it worked great with the doughnuts, earthy slight sweetness, really good. I also love you just pull off a ball from each making them great to share! The boba was good, nothing crazy there, but solid. Thank you Beary much for bringing Mochi doughnuts here! :)

This is a new mochi donut boba shop in the Saint Johns area that everyone needs to check out! Their donuts come in unique flavors and are absolutely delicious!! The texture was perfect with the right hint of sweetness. ⁣ ⁣ Lastly, the ambience of the shop is pretty appealing and fun along with customer friendly staff! I'll most certainly be returning to try out their boba tea after a great first time experience!!⁣ My order: Taro, Churro, Lychee Strawberry, Chocolate, Thai Tea, & Keylime Pie Mochi Donuts

Was in the area and decided to make an additional pit stop while out this way to Beary Boba in St John's County. The shop was minimalistic, clean, fresh, lots of natural light. I do like that there is an option to either order at a kiosk, or order with a human at the cash register. Upon arriving and checking out the selection, there were about 5-6 different donuts to choose from in the display area, and a menu to pick a tea off of. I went with the grapefruit peach green tea, 1/2 sugar, light ice, add boba, and a matcha Oreo donut. I absolutely loved how the Oreo matcha donut was not overkill with the sweetness; it was just right. The donut had a light texture and was very good. I would come here again for a donut. My tea had an okay flavor; this is where the one star gets knocked off with the overall review. That being said, I do drink boba tea every week so I consider myself being a little bit of a seasoned reviewer when put against the average reviewer when it comes to boba tea. This is not to toot my own horn but to justify why it's critiqued the way it is. The tea definitely tasted like flavored syrups are pumped in the tea, no actual real grapefruit or peach puree (totally ok and pretty normal with a bunch of boba places) Now the boba itself - the boba had a decent flavor, not amazing, not bad, but the boba balls definitely were not fresh. The boba had texture of them being made over 24 hours ago. You are probably thinking , ok so what? Well this means the texture is soggy and kind of dissolves in your mouth - just not the right texture and definitely not made day of aka not fresh. I'm not sure how old the boba was. So with combined syrup flavor and old boba, I would choose to not order a tea from here again, only donuts. Now if you hardly ever drink boba, you probably won't notice these things and the tea will taste just fine. This in depth review of the tea is mainly for my hard core boba drinkers out there. Would recommend donuts, would not recommend boba tea. I do think this cute new shop is worth checking out for a lil afternoon treat. The service was prompt, atmosphere clean, and donuts good!

I just stopped by because I was craving donuts. It's not your typical donuts btw, not just with looks but the texture is more cakey. We got 4 flavors; pistachio, fun fetti, churro and passion fruit. The donut itself tasted a bit stale and the flavors were not strong. They mainly tasted like glaze flavor, which defeats the purpose of a variety of flavors if they all taste the same. Disappointing, if just the donuts I wouldn't leave a good review. The boba was really good! I got the butterfly milk tea which taste like milk tea with blue food coloring. Boba was perfect. I also ordered 2 macaroons which were perfect!! I'm a macaroon snob and they were so good, I inhaled one and remembered to take a picture too late lol. I got French fries for my little one, they were the crinkle cut type but it was soooo good. Idk what they do to them or how they cooked them but it turned out great!! I also got the strawberry cap drink and that was good too. I didn't understand the sweetness level, I just said 50%, that was good for the milk tea and a little too sweet for the strawberry drink. So idk how they measure/determine it. They kinda set my stuff to the side "pick up" area without telling me. The counters were so tall so I didn't see it and there's no sign. I was waiting for a while before the lady was like oh it's over here btw. That annoyed me. I mean other than that they were nice. Clean looking place. I'll try it again and see if they just had an off day or what. I might just stick with the macaroons, and I'll ask if the donuts are fresh. If not then I won't get it.

Really good, mochi donuts. Would definitely recommend this place if you're craving for something sweet. You can either order at the kiosk station or they can take your order. Got the strawberry shortcake, matcha Oreo, and cookies and cream Drinks: Thai tea iced coffee and butterfly blue milk tea. Both having tapioca pearls

Saw this place on TikTok and had to give it a try I love donuts and I love boba tea, I think I was able to make it here on its opening weekend I've never heard of mochi donuts before, but there crispy on the outside and soft on the inside they were great, the boba tea here was on spot. It's a smaller establishment with a cute decor if you're into soft cuddly bears. The servers here were nice and patient as I took my time trying to figure out if I was going to order all of the donuts or not.

This is such a cute and minimalistic shop. My go-to order is the lychee milk tea with lychee jelly. The one in the picture is a Thai iced tea which was also yummy! I love how you can customize the % of sugar and ice as well. I've never had a mochi donut before either, and I def have been missing out. They always have different flavors, and they are so yummy. They also have macarons that they don't really advertise, but I LOVE them! So good!! Owners/staff are super nice as well.

Checked out mochinut so I decided to check out Beary Boba after having dim sum at lucky cat. Located at the markets at twin creeks shopping center near the nocatee area. Went in and picked up 3 mochi donuts (banana split, churro, and strawberry) at the time of my visit they had a total of 7 flavors were available. Mochi donuts were fresh and chewy. Cafe sits in a strip plaza and is easily accessible. Parking lot isn't that big but enough to service the patrons that visit. Right when you walk in, the aroma of sweet dough and everything sugar plays in the air. The aesthetics is clean, cute and fun. You'll notice the showcase of their mochi donuts and will instantly feel like you didn't reserve enough stomach real estate for all of the offered flavors. I believe the flavors are set to a weekly rotation and can be found on their social feeds. The difference betwen a mochi donut and a regular donut would be texture due to the flour used. Mochi is rice flour based and when fried it gives a bouncy airy mouth feel much like how a croissant or puff pastry would. If its fresh it should be crisp on the outside and soft/chewy in the middle. I got the Lemon, Matcha and Churro on this trip and two teas to go. I enjoyed all three but the Lemon the most. The frosting was just right and balanced out the fried dough. I bet it would be more delicious if it were slightly warmed. Boba drinks were on the sweet side and syrupy but that is on me. I usually customize boba drinks to half or sometimes zero sugar. The focus was on the mochi donuts obviously. Will be back and with friends!

To my surprise and pleasure, Pour Mike's Coffee House is locally owned (St. Augustine residents) and that particular day, Mike and his wife (the owners) were actually there amongst their customers. Mike asked us how we liked the coffee. And we let him know we definitely enjoyed it. It's nice to see business owners interacting with their customers. I love seeing that and really appreciate it. They have plenty of Pour Mike's Coffee House merchandise for sale, Mayday Icecream available for purchase and they seem to offer a mix of local goodies to help and support other area businesses. Unfortunately, that's the last time I'm gonna use that word in this review . The shop it's itself pretty small. Not an outright problem, but it does limit a few things. Sadly anybody that's got a wide set of hips or a larger backside is not gonna be comfortable in any of the chairs that they have at this location. That's fine if you're not trying to entice customers to sit and enjoy their food there, but it was unfortunate to find myself in a situation where my hips did not fit and its unlike the chairs at other locations. I ordered six donuts , sadly, the very first one and the second one that I ate out of that grouping, I could tell have been sitting out for a while. I don't know if they had been made that day or potentially the day before, but the donuts themselves were hard and not the smooth texture that they're supposed to be. Were they inedible? No but I was disappointed because I was excited to share this with a friend and found that this was a letdown. I just had a mochinut this morning from a different flavor, but the same place and I could tell that that one was much fresher. I would strongly suggest there be a timer or there be a limitation to how many or which kinds of donuts are left out. Or you could take a leaf from some of the other mochi nuts and have a few that are on display for the different flavors that you offer and then make each of the Mochinuts, fresh to order. I recognized that may be more complicated, leaving fryers on and things like that but if you have a good product, that's not gonna matter long-term because your sales will offset that and have a consistent basis for what your food and products are supposed to taste like will make a difference. I also found it really interesting that you had different flavors for your Boba teas. I asked specifically if you had Ube and the girl at the register had no idea what I was talking about which is fine. But upon looking at the menu of a further after sitting down, you do list, purple, sweet potato as a flavor. And while there are some nuance differences between purple, sweet potatoes and Ube because technically Ube is a yam and not a sweet potato. Most people don't look at that nuance and believe that they are the same. So I will have to try that the next time I'm in although I don't know when that will be because I don't wanna have to drive out to Beach Boulevard to go to kung fu tea every time I want a Boba. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice but again the issue with the chairs and people with hips. I give this place a three out of five for now. We'll see if a new visit gets me a different opinion.

However, to my surprise, Kookaburra had phenomenal lattes. On top of that it's a great place to bring the kids and was our Saturday ritual we looked to do after taking my girls to the dance studio nearby. However, for the past 6 months the quality of the lattes has deteriorated. The lattes come out either too bitter, watery and/or EXTREMELY hot. (It is possible to burn the milk while you froth it.) I'm not sure what it is, maybe the machines aren't being cleaned frequently, the espresso isn't dialed in, there is a new staff that isn't trained properly and pays attention to details? This is also not a one time occasion. I have come back many times and hoped the quality would be different. I've given back my latte and pointed out its ways too hot , the milk hasn't frothed well, etc, but still leave disappointed. One thing that I can't wrap my mind around is that there is a coffee shop about 10 minutes (Mikes Pour) which sources their beans Kookaburra and were initially trained by Kookaburra. I would say that Dunkin' is best known for their donuts (though if you would like, you can spell it doughnuts) and coffee, though my go-to here is neither. My usual order at a Dunkin' is probably their bagels with cream cheese. While I would never say that Dunkin' has the best bagels with cream cheese (I grew up in New Jersey and I know great bagels), they are pretty good, especially when you consider that the bagels are coming from a global chain. I have often used Dunkin' (or if you prefer, Dunkin' Donuts) as a co-conspirator in bringing a culinary bribe of coffee and donuts to early morning meetings.
