I can't believe they charge money for this..the "salsa bar" does not make up for BAD FOOD.! A kids meal consisted of a flour tortilla, cheese, and a side of french fries? My chile colorado was meat in red chile, nondescript rice and beans? To top it off a cockroach scurried across the table after the food was served. The place looked so cute but upon entering we were swarmed by flies and should of left then. Next we were given congealed cheese and stale chips. The salsa at the salsa bar had no flavor, we tried ever type and the "hot" was flavorless and had no spice. The food was flavorless and not good. After yhe bad experience we checked yelp and the only new review was a 2 star and all the other reviews were a year plus old. This moght of been good years ago but its horrible now. read more

My family took me here for my birthday on a Saturday afternoon. The place was packed which is usually a good sign of quality food and service. The food was good however the service was lacking. Our server seemed rushed and in a huge hurry. We were given chips and some kind of cheese sauce (that was slopped all over the bowl). They also have a salsa bar that you serve yourself. 3/4 of the salsa bar was empty and not refilled during our visit. We placed our order and when a different server finally delivered the food to to our table it wasn't what we had ordered. To save the hassle we just told them we would eat It instead of waiting for it to be remade. We also ordered frosted mugs of beer. About halfway through the meal a server came to the table to tell us they were out of mugs. Needless to say we didn't have any beer. Overall the food was good. However they do need some work on organization and customer service. read more

If by "Mexican" you mean food that is commonly served in Mexico, off resort, then Cafe Garcia is pretty good. If you want a real treat, our favorite is the birria. You can order it in tacos with just the meat or as a dish by itself, where they will bring it as a bowl of soup. The sauce is phenomenal, but it does stain. This is by no means a gourmet place, but serves food that Abuelita always made. I love the machaca, which they make with shredded beef, not the dried cesina my mother in law uses. I don't know why everyone expects them to have tequila, it's not a bar. I have known very few Mexicans who drink liquor with their meal. I think that's an American thing, so if you want that, go to an American restaurant. My husband won't even have a beer with his food, because he says he wouldn't be able to taste it. Parking does suck, but that's a city thing, not the restaurant. read more

Went there with my wife because she had heard so many good things about the food. It was a slow day, so we expected quick service. Unfortunately, it took over 30 minutes to get drinks, and 90 minutes to get food. Something I noticed while we were waiting for our food was another group came in, ordered in Spanish (seemed to speak it quite fluently in fact), received their order, paid, then left all before we were even served our appetizer. Now that we know the service is terrible, let's move on to the food. At best, it was mediocre. Mushy, greasy, and not a lot of flavor. The only reason I was able to finish it was because of the wait. By the time it got to us, I was too hungry to care. At the end of our meal, we had to go find somebody to pay. This place isn't big by any stretch of the imagination, but nobody seemed to want to let us pay for our food. We asked for the manager, and was told he doesn't take complaints. We were made to feel, in a not so subtle way, that we weren't going to be welcome back. I don't know what made them think that after such terrible service and mediocre food that we'd ever want to come back. The really sad part is that I hear so many good things about this place, but my experience there was one that they would have to pay me to repeat. The service lacked a little in the beginning, we seated ourselves and waited 5 minutes for anybody to come to aid us. Once they did though it was all okay. Food was aesthetically pleasing, tasted wonderful, and the prices are great for what we ate. read more

Not bad for Oklahomas version of Mexican food. Salsa bar is very good, as a Texan, try the hotter versions if you're used to Mi Cocina and Mama Ninfa's. Focus your selections only on the specialties, Carne asada is pretty good, cheese enchiladas are subject part. Hormel chili shouldn't be on an enchilada. Doesn't work. Work on your offering for Nachos, cheese on corn chips is a mess, not Nachos. I'd return again, stick to the specialties. Service is great and the reason they got 4 stars, that and the salsa. read more

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The salsa bar had wonderful, fresh salsa. The chicken in my chimichanga was very fresh. When we tried to find it, the address was wrong. Yelp had it on Broadway, but it's on Grand. I've asked them to change it. It was very frustrating. read more

Cafe Garcia is my favorite place to go in Enid when I want some fajitas. They make some great spicy fajitas and the salsa bar is awesome. I enjoy mixing some of the salsa to get just the right taste Im looking for. I havent had anything else on the menu besides the spicy fajitas so cant comment on the other food, but the spicy fajitas are awesome. read more
