    Sausage soup

I am upset that I had never been here before until last week! My co-worker and I are within walking distance and she suggested this place for a nice lunch. I ordered a soup (sausage and bean) and chicken cesar salad. The staff that works here are super polite, friendly and cordial. I really enjoyed the soup, salad was fresh and had enough dressing on the side, and the chicken was not dry. The seating area is smaller on the inside , however the place isn't massive so it isn't a huge deal. I want to go back in the morning to score a breakfast sandwich and coffee. All the workers had gloves on and hair pulled back - which is something I always make sure to notate :) Great little place and I will be back :)

Bowl of Lintel and Sausage Soup. Very tasty

Had the Lentil and Sausage soup with Reuben on Rye. Food was great. $12 sandwich and $5.50 for soup. The soup was excellent. Full of flavor. Reuben was great also. Overall, well worth the 1/2 mile walk from Yale to visit this spot. It was full of locals also. Staff very personable! Stop here if you want a great lunch.

Let me start by saying I worked in the same building that this coffee shop is located in and barely visited for the first 6 months... Yeah, I know... not a good way to start a review... But it gets better, I promise. I started with the Chef's Salad ( to test the waters) and once it passed my taste buds' very prejudiced test, I was hooked! Now I'm a regular... Have my own seat and all... Now for the real review: Great atmosphere, great people, and excellent food! It's nice walking into a place, that no matter how crowded, you're greeted by first name and with a big smile! My faves include the fresh fruit smoothie, the Asian Chicken Salad (the homemade dressing is to die for), the Chef's Salad, and of course the daily special! The specials are unique, vibrant, full of favor and ALWAYS satisfying! And I love that they listen to their customer's suggestions. If you're looking for your run of the mill-just drop in for a coffee-Starbucks impersonal touch coffee shop... Save yourself the headache and keep it moving. The company, the food, the atmosphere... It's an excellent escape from the workday drudgery and a much needed add to your fave downtown hotspots! Don't be afraid to mention you saw this review on Yelp, and are there for that reason alone!

    Morning fix .

Not a lot of great selection for a quick bite around here. Pleasant interaction, amazing salad! Love the toasted bread on the side!

Lobster bisque was hot though pretty liquid-y. The Brussels sprout salad was by no means a salad. More of a rice cake with Brussels shavings on too but really good. Calamari was okay. Mac and cheese was eh, really liquidy as well. I did really like the crispy mushroom risotto tater tots. They tasted just like tater tots. As we were getting to our last bites and still eating, at least three different staff members within a matter of a minute asked if we're were done and could take our plates away. I would have given this place four stars had we not been bombarded at the end of our dinner. It felt like we were being rushed out even though there were tons of tables and seats still available. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

The workers were all very kind and attentive. The menu has a variety of options and they all sounds delicious. My friend and I split the grilled yellowfin tuna and crispy red snapper. Both were so good. Flavors were good and fish cooked well. Portions weren't overly filling but very yummy. I thought prices were fair for $30 an entree. Overall a lovely dinner.
