My coffee from Midpoint Brewers was decent. However, they were out of small cups, and despite ordering a small, I was charged for a medium. Although I intended to get a pastry / food, the pastries didn't look fresh at all. Not a surprise, but there is no indoor seating, and very little outdoor seating.

One of the cutest, snazziest spaces in downtown New Haven. You can tell that a lot of care was taken to every detail: from the fancy espresso machine, to the posters on the wall, to the piped mounts and sleek counter. Even in the corner is a mounted sun, which adds to the playful, thoughtful design. There was a solid stream of customers around 9am on a Friday. The space is a teeny bit tight, but everyone is good about moving around and adjusting. I got a dirty chai and homemade börek and ate at the pretty counter, where there are two stools. (It's a little tight being close to the cash register, but it was ok.) My drink was nice and smooth, and the börek was nice - perhaps a little greasy and would have liked a teeny bit more salt - but it was really nice knowing that this pastry was homemade. A little pricey, but it's worth paying for quality, especially when it comes to the most important meal of the day: coffee!

My previous review is still the same. I didn't visit a second time nor do I necessarily feel inclined to. I updated my review from a 4 to 3 since visiting the other cafes in the New Haven area. This one was the least welcoming of them all.

I was so fascinated by this adorable coffee shop. The first thing you'll notice, is how tiny this place is, yet they offer everything coffee and tea here. The man working here is Turkish, and might very likely be the owner. He was very pleasant to chat with, and has wonderful costumer service skills. I got a hot hazelnut coffee, and it was delicious. My friend got a few cannolis, I'm not a fan of cannolis, so I can't comment, but there were several options of pastries, including macaroons, which looked really good. This place is very tiny, so tiny that there isn't a single seating option inside, and that makes sense, otherwise there would be no way to walk in and out. Despite being tiny, it's very tastefully decorated without feeling suffocating. I very much appreciate this as I can't stand clutter. I'm a big fan of independent coffee shops, this one is so lovely and unique, I highly recommend you visit it.

Great coffee. Great service and a beautiful little coffee shop. Arrived midday to a small line Owne/host was very nice and made a wonderful turmeric latte. Make this a mid day stop for a great coffee if you're in the area.

I went here with my boyfriend on a rainy Saturday. When we walked in we were astounded by how nice looking the coffee shop was. The owner was very nice and took the time to explain some of our questions. We ordered a latte and an americano. I loved my latte and my boyfriend had no complaints about his americano. Prices were reasonable too. Will be back again to try out the baked treats!

Friendly staff in a quirky setting. If you like macaroons for your snack, they have them aplenty.

Finding a place to park was miserable. I parked in Sally's Apizza small little lot. Despite the…read moresigns thank goodness I did not get towed! Every person we encountered in Ero Cafe was super friendly! I got a Vietnamese Coffee which was good but strong! I also got a cookie butter iced latte. Now that was Yummy! I used the Bischoff cookie on top to eat the whipped cream. The cup was smeared with cookie butter which made my day! For lunch I had a steak panini. The steak was a shaved steak. The cheese pull I wish I would have gotten a picture of. Along with the panini came a unique salad it was well chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, (another veggie or fruit was in there but I could not tell what is was) and a garlic oil. Im not a big veggie person but this salad was delicious. If someone else was driving or nicer weather for a walk I would for sure go back!

The experience was disappointing from start to finish. The staff came across as cold and…read moreunwelcoming, which set a negative tone right away. All of the food arrived cold, and our table was initially given the wrong order. After it had already been handled, the staff took it back and served it to another table, which raised serious concerns about hygiene. My cappuccino was also served cold, and the coffee itself was very acidic and not enjoyable. Instead of making a new one, they poured it into another cup and reheated it with the steaming wand--even though I had already taken a sip. That felt unsanitary and unprofessional. Overall, there were multiple issues that suggest poor food handling practices. I wouldn't return.

There were packaged items, hot items and cold items as well. I ordered a honey lavender macchiato and it was absolutely delicious. They took my order and then called me when it was ready. It was a little bit loud in there so I didn't head her call my name but it was still hot when I went and checked to see if she called me. That was not her fault. I could have stayed closer. You need a code for the restroom and there is only one single stall. The code is on the bottom of your receipt. I really like that each thing lists ingredients and calories. I love when places do that!

So rude. Came in close to closing for a treat with my…read morefriends. They'd stopped serving drinks and only had macarons and cake slices in the pastry case. Most chairs were up on tables, but a few tables had chairs down and people sat at chairs in the front. When we went up to the register, my friend got excited because they were playing a song she really liked. The employee told her to "calm down" multiple times in a very rude tone. We bought a piece of cake, it was a bit expensive for a small slice ($7.75) but we noticed a student discount with proof of Student ID. One of my friends had her student ID on her so she showed it, my friends also got excited about the discount and we were told to "calm down" again. Then another employee told us that the discount didn't apply to cake or macarons?? Weird. Seems convenient, since those were the only things left in the case. Anyway, we bought the cake at full price, and my friend went to find forks for the group. She asked one of the employees behind the counter and he very rudely said, "Have you tried looking behind you?" So rude. I asked for a plate to make it easier for us to split the cake slice, and the first employee told me they were closed for eating. No mention of that or signs about it before we purchased. We had to leave with our cake and ended up eating it outside on the street. I'm not happy with this place, it looked so cute at first but honestly not even worth the trouble or the money.
