This is how much pitaya they put in my bowl. Ridiculous.

The serving size is super small and it is definitely Not worth the price you pay for it. Get a pitaya bowl elsewhere.

Very simple decor, straightforward and courteous service, and healthy and delicious drinks. Perhaps a couple high chairs and tables inside and/or outside would be a nice addition. This is exactly what the community needs.

Amazing, one of the best smoothies I have ever tried and taste. Avocaglow wow and also the letter J. Recommend it to anyone who wants to refresh their body, the lady who took my order was so friendly and professional. even tho it's far from where I lived, I don't mind going back just to try something new and I know the experience is going to be fantastic too as the first one.

Great smoothie place! So many options! Fresh fruits. There are street parking options or you could take public transportation. Prices and quantity is decent. Same as you pay at a smoothie bar anywhere else in Boston. The ingredients were super fresh and the store is clean. Definitely coming here again. Also it's a small black owned business, support!

The food is AMAZING. Açaí bowls are so filling and full of great nutrients. The worker gave us several free samples and helped us find a good combination of juices and food. Would totally recommend.

We didn't get anything but juice. However, this lil black owned spot has some delectable looking delicenses that I did not try. The juices that are offered and vast in combination and type. The Jack of all fruit and the tropical bliss smoothies are exceptional. Be sure to grab another juice to save for later. Don't let the plainness of my photo fool you as flavor profiles outdo the simple appearance.

Black owned and smack in the city. A good place to get your Daily smoothies and açaí bowls. I have always admired this quiet little joint of a place on blue and I went in to get a smoothies and the experience was lovely, they took my order and I waited for my smoothie. The place is a little cluttered but it works there are fruits to sell in the front and a little display. My smoothie was delicious and will definitely go back for more.

These smoothies are out of this world amazing!! Full of natural fruits and juices so you KNOW what you're paying for! My favorite is definitely the "Peach me Im Dreaming" smoothie so so sweet and the perfect thick consistency! Plus They're super nice and attentive in there I'm so glad they decided to open a juice bar closer to home!!

Wow what a great meal!…read more We went as a party of five. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodated us running late as well. Our server was so kind and gave us helpful advice on our order. We ended up ordering the Jerk Duck drumettes which were incredible -- super soft fall off the bone duck in a tangy sauce with some spice. Truly perfect and I think we all licked our plates clean. We also tried the fried okra which had little okra sticks set in a yogurt dip and was a really nice compliment to the drumettes. Last we got the Plantain chips which were so good -- definitely some of the best plantain chips I have had because they cut them so thin! And the dipping sauce was yummy also, would definitely start your meal with this. For mains, we shared the Suya Fennel, Goat Ragu, and Prawn Curry. I'm not sure I've ever eaten a fennel dish before but the Suya Fennel was so yummy with different textured vegetables in a creamy sauce. The prawn curry was also incredible with five fat prawns in a tangy coconut curry sauce with a side of fried roti/paratha perfect for cleaning up all the sauce. They also were easily able to accommodate a nut allergy and put the cashew cream on the side for us! The goat ragu was also yummy but came out like-warm (not sure if that's how it's supposed to come) and was overshadowed by the other mains a bit. For dessert we ended up trying all three -- the Cardamom Semifredo, Chocolate Raspberry Clafoutis, and Mango ice cream and love all of them! I think we all agreed our favorite was the Cardamom Semifredo because it's so unique -- the texture of the cake is almost like rasmalai and it comes with crunchy puffed rice which was a perfect balance. Definitely worth trying if you're open to trying something new! We also loved the mango ice cream with peanut brittle which is thicker than typical ice creams and also like a mango lassi ice cream. The chocolate clafoutis was super solid and similar to a lava cake, and perfect if you're looking for a chocolate fix, but not as unique as the other two. Overall we had such a great time at Comfort Kitchen. The service was great, the food was great, and the vibes were great. We will certainly be back!

We visited around 8:30pm, 2 hours before close, & had no issues grabbing a table for 2! Service was top-notch & food was amazing. These are the dishes we ordered: -Aachar Beef -Fried Okra -Jerk Duck Drumettes -Fried Trout -Prawn Curry w/ Roti Everything we ordered was absolutely DELICIOUS! The Aachar Beef consists of 8 sliced grilled beef, laid over some green tomato aioli w/ some fingerling potatoes + pickled shallots. Had great flavor & every ingredient paired well w/ each other. I personally LOVE okra, so the fried okra was right up my alley! It came with garama masala yogurt, which was SO ADDICTIVE to eat. Now, if you're like us & ordered the Jerk Duck Drumettes as well, PLEASE try dipping the fried okra in both the jerk sauce AND the yogurt dip... it's such a lovely flavor bomb! I highly recommend the Jerk Duck Drumettes for anyone who is a fan of duck... or even for those who don't usually like duck honestly. It's not gamey at all & was super tender. The sauce was finger-licking good! It packed some heat, as did the crab fat hot sauce that came w/ the fried trout & the prawn curry. Normally in my reviews, I have a clear favorite for dishes we order but I have to admit... it's pretty hard to say which was my favorite from here because everything was just that tasty! The Fried Trout comes boneless, with some coleslaw & crab fat hot sauce that made for the perfect dip! Highly recommend if you like a bit of spice. The Prawn Curry was my favorite entree. I couldn't stop eating it & by the end of our meal, we had finished everything INCLUDING the curry and sauces hahaha. Seriously, you can't go wrong with anything you order from Comfort Kitchen! One of the best & most satisfying meals I've had in a while. I will definitely be back again soon. Parking: free street parking

I visited this past weekend with my partner and sister for a birthday. Reservations were easy to get -- try OpenTable! The restaurant was very warm and welcoming, my first impression was "cozy". The service was really good, our server was super helpful in explaining the menu and pointing out the specials for the evening. To start, we got the olives and the cucumber salad. Both were really well done, the seasoning on the peanuts that came with the olives was amazing. Perfect amount of appetizer for three people. I ordered the steak frites, and my fellow diners got the Cod and the Gorditas. The steak frites were super flavorful, but the highlight of the dish was the fries. Coupled with the aioli, the fries were a huge hit at our table (you have to order them!). The cod was also really well done, when I come back I will definitely order the cod. We grabbed the butterscotch pudding and chocolate cake for dessert. The cake was super moist and the perfect consistency. Two desserts was perfect for three people. Milkweed manages to stand out in a crowded scene by focusing on what matters most: incredibly fresh and flavorful food. The menu spans breakfast, brunch, and lunch with a level of seasoning that hits the mark every time. These are my favorites so far: -The Sweet Dutch Baby: A crowd-pleaser that manages to be both airy and indulgent. - Corned Beef Hash: Super fresh and flavorful. You get an entire roasted roma tomato. - Cheesy Spinach Omelette: Simple, fresh, and very cheesy. - The iced coffees and teas are well-crafted as well. - For those looking for a lighter start, they offer great "healthier" alternatives like smoothies and loaded fruit and yogurt bowls, making it an easy choice for groups with different dietary preferences. The Experience The atmosphere is very homey. Staff are friendly. Place is clean and doesn't have that diner stickiness. The service can be a bit of a rollercoaster. There are moments when it feels like you've faded into the background or been forgotten entirely. But the food is worth the wait. If you're looking for a quick "in-and-out" meal, this might not be the place. But if you value high-quality, delicious brunch offerings and don't mind a slower pace, Milkweed is a local gem that delivers where it counts.

The taleggio was 100% our least favorite and we didn't even finish half. We had asked the waiter to describe taste profile, which they said was a "little funky" and had asked for clarification if it was closer to blue cheese. Once it arrived, it was like a verrrrrry strong/stinky Brie on the inside. The balsamic didn't really contribute to the taste at all. Tonight, I added Momo Masala to that list. I was also fortunate to have friends who live nearby, and when I mentioned to them I was going (hopefully to invite them), they said it was one of their regular places for take-out. But they also informed me that they did not have a liquor license. But that recently changed!! They now offer beer, wine, cocktails, and whiskey pours - none of these are huge amounts, but there are certainly enough options for any of these. Our group of 4 did sample several cocktails. They aren't super fancy (though some drinks do have garnishes or salty/spiced rims), but everything is well crafted. Momos first, if course. They offer several varieties, but if you prefer yours steamed, read the menu carefully, as not all varieties are available steamed. We got vegetable and chicken momos, the chicken ones in a broth. Their medium level of spiciness provided a nice but not overwhelming kick. Our entrees continued the high quality. Their chicken tikka masala has a very dark and rich sauce, and the chicken chunks were tender. The lamb was equally good. The naan here (we got garlic) is very crisp, just the way I like it. This is a popular take-out spot, but there are enough tables to accommodate people who dine in conveniently, with a relaxing ambiance. This is another great add to the wide variety of dining options in Jamaica Plain.
